124 A Visit to the Stars

"Please," Zetian pleaded to him with a large pair of puppy eyes. While holding onto his hands, acting all so childish in front of him.

Tony couldn't bear resisting those large vulnerable eyes that's staring at him with deep pleading. Turning his head away so he wouldn't be so swayed by his present emotions that making him unable to hold in control of himself.

"No, why would I even say something like that," looking away with his eyes. Staring fixated on the grey wall that's in the corner of them.

"Oh, come on. Please," she stretched the last word while swinging his hand around playfully. Still fixating her gaze like a child begging for the attention of her parent.

Seeing those eyes that are still focused on him Tony couldn't hold it anymore. With a finger he lifted her chin up high as he stares into those eyes desirously. Saying to her with a calming deep voice, "Close your eyes."

Thinking that Tony is finally going to do what she wants, getting her way. She closes those heavy eyelids with a smile on her face awaiting his voice.

In the next moment she feels Tony's hand on the small of her back. With a gentle force as he draws her in close feeling the touch of his arms around.

Without a moment of notice she finds herself swept off ground into both of his arms. Before she could open her eyes again to describe her surprise, she hears Tony's voice whispering in a smooth echo inside, "Don't open your eyes yet. Promise me."

With a beating heart awaiting the exciting surprise she believes is being prepared for her she kept those eyes shut as promised. With her blinds shut she could feel a sense of weightlessness in Tony's arm.

Being hold together in his arms she didn't resist nor felt a qualm of anxiety. For being by his side she holds onto his neck, the closer she leans against him the safer she feels when there's no sight of light in those closed off darkness.

As a light feather that's being blown ever so gently by the ever-trading wind. A lightness that she never felt before, like in his arms she's no longer holds and bounded down by gravity anymore.

She feels as Tony places her feet down on the ground. While still holding carefully her elbow so she won't fall down suddenly. With her hand she grips carefully to his large hand, making her feel so much safer.

"Can I open my eyes yet," she asks unable to contain her excitement to see what he might be preparing for her.

"Yes, you can open them now," Tony said to her holding to her hand tightly. With interest as he watches her eyes slowly open up to the night sky that faces them.

For a moment Zetian suddenly was totally swept away by the beauty before her that she forgotten how to speak. Her eyes stare unblinkingly at the sight.

Never have she seen a sight like this, since everything around her is only the sight of the darkened sky. There's like billions and billions of uncountable numbers of bright stars that shining so brilliantly in front of her.

More than anything else is the large golden moon that lights up the world below the Earth. She never realized so a closeness to the sky that made her feel like she's stepping just an inch away from Heaven itself.

Everything else is totally silent, leaving her all alone next to him. In that breathtaking moment she looked downwards and instantly came into shock grabbing hold of Tony tightly with all her limbs.

Seeing how frightened she is Tony also wraps his arm around her waist holding her stable. Since he is afraid, she might become unbalanced and fall down from the great height.

"Be careful, Zetian," he says warmly.

She looks at the warm smile on his face with unstoppable number of thoughts on who is this man really. Because right now they are standing on the rooftop of the tallest tower in the whole entire city.

In a glance she can see below her all the houses with their lights inside. The streets are lit up by red lanterns all across, the people became only small dots before her eyes.

She really wonders to herself how did Tony even got himself here, the depth of the height makes her afraid that she might fall to her death without clinging onto him carefully.

"So, you aren't a spy of the Emperor. But actually, a heavenly cultivator that secretly came out from his hermitage?" Zetian asked trying to figure out the mystery in front of her.

Tony laughs to himself hearing this, "I guess you might not be too far off this time. But I'm really just a man who's fallen so in love with a woman."

Hearing this half-lie Zetian gives him a small glare, "You just won't tell me the truth at all?" Tony didn't reply to this question and only gives a half smile.

With a graceful movement he reaches close to her face, kissing those sweet lips. Making this moment under the glorious moonlight a truly unforgettable moment for the both of them.

"Zetian do you remember the first time I ever met you?" He asked piquing Zetian's memory.

She looks down for a moment at her shoes still unable to recall exactly what impression that might stick in her brain. She couldn't imagine that such a handsome gentleman came to her life before without her notice at all.

She bites her bottom lip a little shaking her head with her eyebrows revealing her lack of ability to remember the occurrence. In a gentle voice whispering to him in the dark of the night, "I'm sorry."

"When I first met you, I still remember that small tear that falls from your eyes," Tony recounts to her as though he's remembering something more precious to him than anything else.

"

In that second, I decided I want to be there for you always

Whether it as a tree that blocks the showering sky

Light that brightens your life's path

Warmth that melts away the ice that freezes your heart

Support when your body falls without strength

You're worth my everything and more because

You're my moon, my stars, and I only have eyes for you"
