[ Location: Soul City Lesser Region R, Soul Medic Centre ]

[ Scanning Room ]

In the Medic Centre, Shiro is being scanned by Medic Ellie Warren in order to see the condition of his body.

" His body seems normal like a usual Hollow Spirit, there's no abnormality here and there. " Ellie says while scanning using the [Astral Form Scanner].

" There's nothing wrong with the Astral Form, based on the Scanner this one is still an Ordinario, which means he's still not as dangerous as we might think. "

" Seems he's really a new guy in the world of the dead, isn't he? " Ellie checks it further.

" Okay then, it seems everything's normal in his Astral Form. "

" Let's check the Core. " Ellie then proceeds to check the Astral Core as she switches to using the [Astral Core Scanner] to scan Shiro's Astral Core properly.

" Okay then, let's try to scan for his Astral Core. "

" Maybe, it could provide some answers if he's lying or not about his previous life as a human instead of a monster. "

" For an Astral Core contains the memories of an Astral Form's lifetime, so using the Scanner I could see this Hollow Spirit's lifetime memories during his time of living. " Ellie prepares it as she begins to scan for Shiro's Astral Core.

" Prepare for scanning. "

" I hope this ends the standard procedure before I check him further. " Ellie hopes as the machine starts its operation.

[ Astral Core Scanning, begins. ]

[ Receiving Core's Memory Data. ]

" Here it is, now let's see... " Ellie says after she receives it.

" Let's see of the memories that he had, shall we? " Ellie says as she sees Shiro's Astral Core memory one by one.

As she sees the memory, she sees the first, the memory where Shiro looks at himself in the mirror, in which she sees himself having a normal human body, with no abnormality at least, she sees the whole memory with precision, using her experience on investigating any abnormalities during her times as a Morgue (She used to be a Morgue before, analyzing Spirit Corpses).

" These memories are real, these memories of Shiro's lifetime... "

" The Core's memories contain the Astral Form's living memories, it had the records of their living experience. "

" It couldn't be swapped or altered since genetically, what you were born in the living world will determine what you will become when you died. "

" So because of that, it seems I finally found the first problem, which means... " She looks at the sedated Shiro on the medical table.

" The Spirit is telling the truth about himself... "

" But still, it will not make any sense for a human to become a Spirit when they died. "

" Especially becoming a... "

" A Hollow...? " Ellie asks herself as then leaves and proceeds to go to the library next to the [Scanning Room], to find something that crosses her mind.

" Oh goddamnit, where is it!? "

" I remember it somewhere near here, the journals about Hollow Spirits, dammit! "

" I remember it contain something that could be connected to this 'Shiro' case which I could use as a basis. "

" But first, where the hell is it!? " Medic Ellie grunts as she had a difficult time searching what she needs to search.

" Did I throw it away? no, it couldn't be, that's a confidential journal for the Central HQ! " Medic Ellie says as she then decides to just note it for she needs to return and check Shiro's memories again.

" Dammit, I need to find it, since it contains Hollow Spirit Anatomy and some other information regarding it! "

" I've spent so many years to even receive it from the Central HQ medic center, so I should've still kept it, knowing its importance. "

" For the Central HQ is quite stingy on giving the Spirit Anatomy information, especially regarding some Spirits who often had unknown and debatable origin roots such as Hollows, the Losts, huh! " Ellie says while continuing the procedure she needs to do, for she needs to know more information about Shiro for her record and archives.

" A 'Cursed Child', 'Bringer of Curses'? "

" Did he possesses some kind of a dangerous power when he was alive? I think not..." Ellie claims.

" After all, the stronger you were during your lifetime, could immediately determine which rank were at when you first awakened in the Astral World. "

" If you were that strong or that dangerous, you could become a Soul Ruler or a Spirit Monarch immediately. "

" So, I've been wondering about this, is he really that cursed? " Ellie asks since by theory, seeing Shiro's Astral Form is currently in a Normal Spirit form, meaning that he must be those normal people in his lifetime, not someone cursed or whatever.

" This must be an accusation, it must be. "

" Seeing the results now, I could safely assume that the people in Shiro's lifetime might have accused him of something his relative did. "

"In return, their anger continued to him since, making him next for the blaming. " Ellie says after seeing Shiro's memories.

" Geez, the humans don't change didn't they? "

" If I could return to the world of Living, I would likely knock these humans' heads off, for realizing how stupid they were even after Ragnarok! "

" Just because you hate someone, doesn't mean you can also hurt their relatives, you shouldn't be at all! " Ellie was disgusted and decided to close the memory where the people killed Shiro in the previous chapters and just skip to the memory where Shiro first appeared in the Astral World.

During the process, the Loading goes well until, when Ellie tries to open the memory.

[ System Error, Memory can't be opened! ]

" What the hell!? "

" What is going on!? " Ellie tries to deal with the Error but the device keeps getting more errors unbeknownst to her, Shiro's Astral Core System uses its firewall and other of its Information Defender System to block the [Astral Core Scanner]'s memory gathering for it could gather some of Shiro's important data that needs to keep secret by the System's directives.

Because of the System's intervention, the System then uses its way to break the Scanner's device immediately, making it malfunction for it just sliced many of its systems down, breaking the device as smoke comes out from it.

*Beep Beep*

" Ellie what's going on!? " Raymond comes in to see the situation.

" Oh I'm alright, *cough cough*, I'm alright! "

" The scanner just explode, don't worry about me, I was not close to it as I immediately dodge it before it explodes. " Ellie responds while coughing.

" Did you accomplish it? did you get what you need based on the procedure? "

" Of course, I have it right here, in this USB," she says as she shows the USB she managed to pick up before the Scanner was corrupted. "

" I don't know if the Data here is corrupted too but I think I unplugged it on time. " Ellie says as she then gives the USB to Raymond.

" Thank you... " Raymond says.

" This will be sufficient, would you like to see it? " Ellie asks.

" Of course. " Raymond says while looking at the unconscious Shiro.
