Hunt Part 1

The Seclusion Room and the Medic Centre, it's actually part of one building.

The Building was called Region R's Central Security Building, the Fortress for Region R's Soul Knights and Guards operations. This Building was one of the largest Soul Fortresses that ever existed, despite Region R's quite poor condition, unlike the other Soul Regions, making this Fortress the first, the last, and the only option for defense in this Region.

" I hear some loud voices, what is going-hurkhh...!!! " a Soul Guard was killed by some Spirits that somehow stabbed him from the back.

As the Spirit stabs him, behind it there are many who come with it as they came to enter the place without the Guards' notice.

" Stupid Souls, they became too lenient with their Fortresses. " said the Spirit.

" Do they know that we Djinns can just slip past their defenses...? " they asked, mocking the Souls' technologies against the Spirit's power.

The Djinns, known as the slippery Spirits, was 'slippery' because this Spirit kind had many abilities to offer, unlike the other stronger Spirit Races. Despite the lack of their Astral Energy, the Spirits had many abilities they can offer, often having some absurd abilities, mostly illusion and deceit, making their enemies distracted.

In the living world myths, the Djinn often can use their powers to grant human wishes, but sadly this is done using their deceitful ability, giving the humans the thing that they believed they wished for, but instead...

It was the other.

" This is the last Soul Guard, let's go to the next place. " said the Djinn Group Leader as he then hears some noise.

" What is that? did the Souls finally notice us...? " he asked as suddenly a Djinn soldier was slammed into the wall in front of them.

" You brat, how dare you do this to me!? " the slammed Djinn said while crying.

" Aren't you a Spirit to-garrkkhhh! " the Spirit says as he was slammed by a Sword, the <Astral Aegis Sword>.

"( What the...! )" the Djinn leader was shocked as he orders his men to prepare.

"( Who the hell..., huh!? )" the group leader was shocked as he sees Shiro come in front of him, fully armed with his equipment.

" There you are, I've been looking for you. " Shiro says as he picks his blade from the Djinn he slays.

< EXP Gathering Failed. >

" Geez, I know... "

" No EXPs but I can still gather the loots, right? " he says to the System as he then picks up his sword.

" Grkkhhhh..., who are you, Hollow!? "

" And why did you kill my men!? " the Djinn group leader asks Shiro why did he kill Djinn earlier.

" Why? Do you ask? "

" I should be the one who asks that? " Shiro says, showing off his power to the Djinn which the System defines them to be at the overall level of.

" You Level 20 weaklings! " Shiro says as he proceeds to slay them on sight.

( Interrogation Room. )

" You're going to stay silent, huh, it's fine...! ) " the Gate Guard Captain yells at Rand who he is stills interrogating.

While hearing his questions, Rand just stay silent as if his Astral Core was not active anymore. Seeing that, the Guard Captain was pissed but before he gets swallowed by anger, Medic Ellie came and stops him, telling him to hold his hands as she checks the Spirit Hunter.

" Medic Ellie!? " the Gate Guard Captain asks.

" Stand back, Captain! " she tells him as she then tries to sense the Astral Energy out of Rand.

" Shit,...! " she says.

" What is it, Medic? is something wrong? " he asks Ellie.

" Of course, it's wrong...! " Ellie shouts at him.

" Use your senses and try to sense him without any device for once! " she orders the Guard Captain since she has the higher authority as the member of the Central Region's Soul Medic.

As the Captain tries to sense him, he can sense that his Astral Energy is empty he then decides to open his clothes and immediately tries to see the Spirit Hunter's Astral Core which was already been drained.

" Kughh!!! "

" The Core! " the Guard Captain shout as he sees the Empty Astral Core, drained of its energy.

" Dammit! " Ellie says as she immediately knows what is going on or to be exact, what kind of Spirit could cause things like this.

" There's only one type of Spirit that is able to drain one's Astral Core to empty. "

" And that Spirit is... " Ellie says but was interrupted as she hears a voice from outside she and the Guard Captain decide to go out of the interrogation room as she sees Raymond coming down from the upper floor with a large Djinn on the ground, pressed by his hands.

" Djinns! "

" I knew that I must've sensed this ominous presence before. "

" I never thought it would be your slippery bastards to come here. " Raymond says as he destroys the Djinns using his ice, freezing him and then shattering him to pieces.

" Raymond! " Ellie calls.

" Don't come near me, Ellie! "

" Stay where you are! " Raymond orders her.

" You were holding the Djinn's Carrier Body there, didn't you!? " Raymond asks the Medic as he explains the situation to Ellie.

" Raise the alarm, Ellie! "

" This fortress had been breached. " Raymond tells her.

( At the same time. )

" You, you *cough*... traitorous Hollow! " the Djinn Group Captain says as Shiro slashes him hard.

" Why did you attack us? shouldn't you be on our side, the Spirits? "

" We were still your brethren despite our different race, why do you...? " Shiro slashed the captain with his Sword, ending the blabbering once and for all.

" You're goddamn wrong! "

" You're gravely mistaken! " Shiro says with anger.

" Me? A Spirit? that's the greatest mistake that ever happened to me! "

" I'm a human, I should've been on the Souls' side. " Shiro says as the System tells him that he had completed the Quest < Spirit Hunter Story: Part I >.

" So this is only the beginning huh? "

" Guess I need to move on. " Shiro realizes that the story is just begun, as the System gives him a notification about the second Quest he needs to deal with.

" There..., that place is where I must go. " Shiro says, leaving the Djinns behind as he obtained some loot from their dead bodies, as their bodies withered for the Astral Cores had been sliced.

" For I shall continue the next hunt. " Shiro says, continuing his journey while using his coat.

" (Don't forget to hide my Hollow face from the other Guards, hehehe... )"
