6 Chapter 6

Upon departing the orphanage, Cai Wen found himself in the company of Bishop Guo Qiang. Together, they journeyed toward the Supreme Pontiff Palace in a carriage owned by Guo Qiang himself.

During their travels, Cai Wen and Guo Qiang engaged in casual conversation, touching upon various topics. Guo Qiang seized this opportunity to appraise Cai Wen's character.

Guo Qiang soon discovered that Cai Wen was more mature than he initially thought, yet the young boy was also rather introverted. As a result, Guo Qiang found himself initiating most of the conversation, while Cai Wen responded with only a few words.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the gates of the Supreme Pontiff Palace. Descending from the carriage, Guo Qiang led the way, with Cai Wen following closely behind, his eyes filled with awe as he took in the grandeur of his surroundings.

As they drew nearer to the main entrance, Guo Qiang advised Cai Wen, "Xiao Wen, remember to show respect once we enter, and follow my lead in your actions, alright?"

"Ah! Yes," Cai Wen replied, tearing his gaze away from the magnificent architecture that seemed to exude an aura of holiness, reminiscent of the Qian family's martial soul, the Seraphim.

Soon, they reached the main entrance, which was guarded by a hundred Spirit King rank guards. They paused briefly as Guo Qiang inhaled deeply and straightened his posture.

"Your Eminence Supreme Pontiff, this is Bishop Guo Qiang, and I have brought the child," he announced in a respectful tone.

"Enter," a captivating female voice responded from beyond the door, exuding both authority and indifference.

Cai Wen glanced at Guo Qiang, who, in turn, motioned for him to follow. As the two guards pushed open the doors, they stepped inside.

As they proceeded, Cai Wen's eyes darted around the majestic hall before finally settling on the grand throne situated at an elevated position. Seated upon the throne was a woman of unparalleled beauty, the likes of which Cai Wen had never before encountered in his past or current life.

"So beautiful," he murmured subconsciously before clamping his mouth shut in realization.

Both Bibi Dong and Guo Qiang heard Cai Wen's remark, but due to their formidable abilities, Bibi Dong remained unperturbed, as she was well accustomed to such compliments.

Guo Qiang then knelt on one knee and raised his head respectfully. "Your Eminence, I have brought the child," he declared.

Cai Wen mimicked Guo Qiang's posture, kneeling on one knee. Although he had reincarnated and possessed certain advantages granted by a higher being, at the moment, he was no more than a weak child with no standing in this world.

He was not like the protagonists of Chinese novels who always acted with unwarranted arrogance and entitlement. Instead, he does and do what he should in his position.

Bibi Dong's eyes flickered towards Cai Wen, and he felt a chill run down his spine. He knew about her and that he was in the presence of a powerful and dangerous woman, and he tried his best to keep his composure.

Bibi Dong, seated upon her throne, gazed down at Cai Wen. The first thing she noticed was his unique and mesmerizing eyes, followed by his well-built physique, which was uncommon for a child his age. Such a trait was typically found only in members of clans who prioritized training their younger generations, but Cai Wen was merely an orphan which impressed her.

In the quiet chamber, she observed him with a piercing gaze, causing Cai Wen to feel a twinge of nervousness. He took a deep breath, steadied himself, and met her eyes directly. A trace of amusement flickered in her eyes, yet her expression remained cold and detached.

After a few moments of silence, her elegant voice finally broke the stillness. "What is your name, young one?"

"It's Cai Wen, Your Eminence," he replied respectfully, emulating Guo Qiang's manner of addressing her.

Bibi Dong nodded and inquired further, "Tell me, Cai Wen, what is your dream or goal in this world?"

Cai Wen hesitated, realizing he hadn't given it much thought. 'I didn't expect her to ask that. Currently, I'm just going with the flow and have no clear goal in mind. This is difficult, but my instincts tell me that if I can give her a satisfying answer, I might receive something truly rewarding.'

Taking advantage of the accelerated thought process granted by his six eyes, Cai Wen quickly pondered a suitable response. Finally, with determination shining in his eyes, he declared, "My dream is to reach Spirit Rank 100, Your Eminence."

His answer piqued her interest, and her face betrayed a hint of curiosity. With an arrogant smirk, she challenged him, "Oh? And what gives you the confidence that you can reach that level when no one in Spirit Hall, or any part of this world, has ever achieved Rank 100?"

Cai Wen spoke earnestly, his voice resolute, "My vision, Your Eminence. Most people fixate on the title of Douluo and below. Once they reach their goal, they become complacent and lose the motivation to push further. They simply cultivate and try their luck, hoping to advance.

"But I am different. I want to reach Rank 100 and strive for even greater heights!" His unwavering conviction took Guo Qiang by surprise.

Bibi Dong's face broke into a arrogant smile, and she let out a haughty laugh. "Very well, although your views on people is somehow flawed, then let me see if you can achieve your goal and make history, or if you'll become an ignorant fool, full of delusions and destined to be forgotten in the annals of time."

"Cai Wen," she said, her tone reverting to its authoritative timbre. She regarded him solemnly and announced, "From this day forth, you shall be my second disciple."

"Yes, Your Eminence," Cai Wen replied, his face alight with excitement. He couldn't help but feel as though he had struck a gold mine, with this he immediately rises from a no background kid to a disciple of the person who stands on top of this world.

He had considered the possibility of becoming a disciple to one of the Spirit Hall elders, but never did he expect to be taken under the wing of the Supreme Pontiff herself. He silently thanked himself for emulating the ambitious declarations of those wuxia novel protagonists, though he had no intention of adopting their air of arrogance or a sense of entitlement.

Remaining humble, Cai Wen vowed, would always be his guiding principle. It's safe and always ensure that there will be progress.
