1 Chapter 1

Spirit City is a city that belongs entirely to Spirit Hall. It is the main city of Spirit Hall, located at the border of both great empires, the Heaven Duo and Star Luo Empire. The empires do not have any jurisdiction or authority over Spirit City.

Spirit City is a massive, bustling metropolis that spans a vast area, with towering buildings, busy streets, markets, and public squares. The city is divided into several districts, each with its own distinct character and purpose. The most prominent of these districts is the Supreme Pontiff Palace and the other palace surrounding it.

There is also the Spirit Hall Academy, where Spirit Hall trains its students who will later be recruited.

In another district, a large church-like building serves as an orphanage backed by Spirit Hall, where children with no family, picked up, or those who have lost their parents in hunting a spirit ring but encountered a strong spirit beast, are taken care of.

In an area behind the orphanage, a garden is tended to by older children and some younger ones, who teach them how to care for the various plants. There is also a large space at the center of this garden where children around six years old and below are playing.

In one corner, a peculiar scene can be seen. While most of the children are either playing, watching others play, or just doing normal kids' activities, one child is doing push-ups.

The child, about 6-7 years old, is male with black hair and strikingly beautiful eyes that seem to have stars shining within them. The child's body looks a bit muscular, probably due to long exposure to training, as evidenced by his current activity.

The child continues doing push-ups until he finally reaches one hundred. After finishing the last push-up, he lets his body fall to the ground and breathes heavily.

"Good job, little Wen, you finished your workout again," says a girl around 15-17 years old as she hands Wen a towel. He is bathed in his own sweat.

The girl shakes her head as she looks at the child below her, wondering why he works so hard.

Wen looks up and sees the girl handing him the towel, taking it reflexively as if it was already a routine for him.

"Thank you, big sister Yue," Wen says gratefully.

"Honestly, why are you even working so hard?" Yue asks, though she already predicts Wen's response.

Wen looks at her for a moment before saying, "Because...I have nothing better to do."

"There are a lot of jobs in the orphanage; why aren't you helping with them?" The girl can't help but give him a deadpan look.

"Because I've already done most of them, like always," Wen smugly replies. "And I can't do all the work; the others will become lazy."

"Fine... whatever. But don't overwork your body and get injured. Especially not for tomorrow when you and the others will finally awaken your martial spirit, got it?" Big sister Yue tells him.

"No worries, big sister," Wen replies.

"Ok, I still have things to do. Remember, don't overwork yourself," Big sister Yue reminds him before walking away, leaving the sweaty Wen alone.

Wen watches her leave before falling into his own thoughts.

'It's been six years, huh? Who would imagine that I would reincarnate in this world?' Wen thinks.

He reincarnated in this world six years ago and was named Cai Wen. He doesn't fully recall his past, as if a piece of him was taken away. Fortunately, he retains most of the knowledge acquired from his previous self.

For instance, he was familiar with this world, having read about it in his past life. Once a fictional realm, it had now become his reality.

Though he couldn't recall his previous identity, Cai Wen still understood why he had been able to reincarnate here.

In his former life, he had died and fortuitously encountered a higher being who wants to reincarnate someone on a whim. However, this being was not inclined to provide assistance without cost, so most of Cai Wen's memories were taken, leaving just enough for him to recognize himself.

This formed the basis for his reincarnation. The higher being then proposed an additional offer: in exchange for some benefits, Cai Wen would have to accept a restriction that, if violated, would result in his death.

Deciding that he was not extraordinary enough to survive without help, Cai Wen accepted the deal. The higher being imposed a restriction upon him and granted him several perks.

Cai Wen received three perks in total: a top-tier martial spirit, though not quite reaching god levels like the Seraphim; a random cultivation technique; and Six Eyes, similar to those of Gojo Satoru. Each of these advantages would give others a significant edge, enabling them to attain the level of a titled Douluo. Now, Cai Wen possessed all of these, but they came at a cost.

The restriction placed upon him by the higher being prevented him from becoming the inheritor of any god in this world. He could not assume the position of Sea God, Asura God, or any other divine role. Additionally, he was banned from participating in any inheritance tests, meaning no side quests were available to him.

Cai Wen's only option was to strive for godhood through his own efforts, which should be achievable, provided he did not meet an untimely end.
