Chapter 97: Nine Sea Gods Trial 5 (part 1)

All the island guardians and the high priestess witness the end of the 4th trial and Bo Saixi receives the information for the 5th trial which she must tell Xue Tie. Unfortunately she seems to have become a bit nervous after receiving the information.

Xue Tie notices this and can make an assumption over what he must do and thus speaks up first.

"I am fully capable of controlling the emission of my abilities but i'm fine with going out over the sea even if it gives you all an advantage."

"Hmm. What is his next trial?" Sea Dragon douluo (buff guy with dragon-like horns) hums on behalf of all the guardians.

"Our role in the next trial is to collectively fight against Xue Tie. The 7 pillars and myself versus you." She addresses Xue Tie and the pillars in question shiver a bit after the few things they have already witnessed.

"A secondary clause also exists in which Xue Tie may not overly rely on his divine mark but must use spirit skills only, that or bone abilities if he has any" Bo Saixi continues which makes the other relax a bit, everyone but SeaHorse Douluo breathe a sigh of relief as he quickly analyzes that they know nothing about what Xue Tie's spirit skills are, especially with the fact that he seemingly has lost all his spirit skills and martial spirits, only just now regaining the strange and evil looking dragon spirit.

"Senior Chen, from what you know of this young man, did he reach the pinnacle of the mainland through his death powers?" SeaHorse douluo cant help but question which makes the other pillars frown in confusion. Tang Chen realizes quickly what the seahorse douluo is thinking. He shakes his head while saying.

"I only recovered my mind through his death power but he had defeated my controlled state with his spirit skills back then. He had even primarily focused on his spirit skill usage over death. To me, it looks like he is using it more due to whatever revelation he understood while climbing the pyramid."

His words are like a death omen to other pillars, SeaHorse Douluo looks resolved, Sea Dragon looks pumped up while the others are noticeably nervous about the future fight.

"Let's go, im looking forward to seeing how well my spirit power fares against my fellow mortals" Xue Tie comments as he floats out to see. Bo Saixi and the others follow. Tang Chen does so as well but no one can tell what his motive is since he should be able to witness the fight from the beach.

After half an hour of simple flight to get some distance from the island so the battle waves don't destroy the civilian population of the island. Then one by one, the 7 pillars summon their martial spirits.

SeaDragon Douluo summons his martial spirit the Sea Dragon, It an eastern dragon completely made of water which can be seen as an equal counterpart to the Blue lightning Tyrant Dragon Clans martial spirit.

Seahorse Douluo summons his martial spirit beast which looks like a crossbreed of a wyvern and a kangaroo as its arms are just wings and it has the bulky body of a wyvern (think skyrim or just a trex but with wings for it's small arms) and long tail. It has a secondary pair of wings around its hip. The 'seahorse' martial spirit is fully blue in color but not made out of water like the sea dragon, instead it's more ethereal like most martial spirits but just has an affinity for water which is why it's blue.

SeaSpear Douluo summons the Sea Lance which is a simple undecorated golden spear with no outstanding features except it's mirror-like glossiness.

Sea Fantasy Douluo summons the Illusionary snake martial spirit which is a hybrid spirit as it partially manifests as a beast spirit and a spear like appendage on the man's left forearm. The beast part looks like a typical giant snake with outstanding silver like horns on its head. Its entire body is coated in a purple aura.

The SeaStar Douluo summons the sea star martial spirit. It looks like a 8 point shuriken mixed with a starfish to present a glass like spirit that is clear on the edges while heavily blue around the middle with a pristine white core at the center.

Sea Ghost Douluo summons his Devil Ray martial spirit which looks like a giant carnivorous manta ray. It is roughly 20 ft wide and 50 ft tall upon being summoned. It's underbelly sports various markings that glow purple while the rest of it's body is a very dark purple but not black. Its open mouth also elicits the same purple glow from its underbelly. (imagine yugioh 5ds Earthbound Immortal CCAPAC APU but if it was able to open its mouth to reveal jagged teeth)

The Sea Woman Douluo instead summons the Black Flute which looks like a giant flower rose but without the thorns on its body. Its body is completely purple. Granted this flower design has not bloomed.

The final one is Bo Saixi herself who summons her Sea God martial spirit. It is quite literally a blue humanoid figure that is quite detailed to look like a certain person with a spear in hand that partially fades in and out. This is the sea god martial spirit which is exclusive to Bo Saixi and other members of her line who serve the sea god himself. It's a partial reflection of the sea god himself as they can momentarily possess the same power as the sea god and thus hold the same power as him but on a more minor scale.

Xue Tie smiles through out his minor wait as he enjoys the sensation of their water like spirit energy blasting around. It's like a gentle massage on his body before he dispels is all completely under the pressure released by his new martial spirit. The death odyssey dragon (official name).

"ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRR"

A massive 70 ft wide and 150 ft tall dragon martial spirit manifests before them and roars into the sky. Xue Tie had previously just summoned a part of it's body to give the others an initial experience with it. As the dragon overlays onto Xue Tie's body, it shrinks until it is akin to a draconic suit of armor upon his body. The black scales plate shines in the evening sunlight.

"Seniors, you may make the first move. My reputation cant handle myself to be accused of bullying the elderly"
