chapter 66: Level 80, FIRE, New Rings

Xue Tie digs into the giant peach and once he finishes, his face is flush, he opens his mouth and black smoke is released as the fruit channels intense fire energy to remold his body step by step. This is far from what Yu Yue explained was her experience after using the fruit to step into level 50.

There are many variables as for why this is the case. The first being that Xue Tie's body is far stronger than Yu Yue at that time. The second being that he already possesses an affinity with fire and now it's being strengthened.

"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, cough, cough"(like those old tea pots when the water is ready), the smoke finally stops being released long enough for Xue Tie to cough and his body keeps being melted and healed. This process is quite painful but nothing that Xue Tie hasn't gone through before when he first started refining himself.

"UGH, that sucked. Though it makes sense how it's able to help a 200k year old beast reach 300k year old once they reach the appropriate level to make the jump and resist the heavenly tribulation"

Cough Cough. A few more coughs are released until Xue Tie finally drinks a sip of water to hydrate himself as he has become a bit boney due to all the water in him being superheated for a short while.

"Level 80, finally, just need my rings now and ill be an official Spirit Douluo" he says with a hint of anticipation. "Let's check my fire first"

He brings out his robes first and quickly notices that not much has changed except a few blips of red flashing through the veins on his armor. He pays it no mind and uses his first skill to claw out the air in front of him. With no target he has no idea how powerful the claw attack itself is but he does know the explosion effect is almost 3 times stronger as he blasts himself into the wall.

He pushes himself out and looks at the wall for a moment, seeing his own imprint in it. "Heh, good times" he reminisces on the events of the Junior Master Spirit Competition and how he had given his first 'kiss' to bibi dong and she promptly slapped him through the wall horizontally and the many other times she got too flustered.

"I need to pay her a visit soon. Our consummation should be coming around the corner soon now that I'm a proper king." He thinks some naughty thoughts before refocusing on the fire. But not before telling the guards to leave as he is training and not in danger.

"Soooooo, the explosion is stronger, so likely the fire is stronger too. I should get someone to bring a few test dummies here…orrrrr, I can just go outside myself. Touch some grass before heading out to kick some beast ass."

He does so and leaves his private chambers and begins to travel out to Star Dou Forest but not quite. He first travels to a nearby cave his organization had created during its early stage to test out his abilities.

He finds a rock and after testing it's durability a bit, he claws at it. He finds the claws themselves are stronger but that might be due to the boost in physical prowess. The claw mark left behind is melting the rock though before it explodes. Xue Tie took a few steps back this time around. He goes over to the next rock.

He uses his 2nd spirit ring this time around, BloodBoon. Just like the claws, the fire is easily melting the rock (noooooooooo, Dwayne, get out of there, you're not cooking anymore, you're being cooked) into a puddle.

Xue Tie just nods matter-of-fact and goes to a clearing where he activates his 5th ring and summons the Blood vortex or rather the fire tornado as what it actually is. The winds are stronger, the heat hotter and the ground is being drilled. So everything is as it should be if it's being based on the current trend of improvement.

6th spirit ring, Primal Burst, the original 30% boost has increased to 40% but the self immolation rate has increased to 6x, which means a 2nd boost creates an 80% boost and 36x immolation effect. Still usable as compared to the third boost under 4x which would makes it 64x but that doesnt mean he won't try to limit the double boost effect if he can help it. This is the one ability he is sad that was strengthened as he is more apprehensive to use it now.

You would think since the fruit is helping mutate or strengthen his abilities, it would reduce the pain but not, it's 'fair'. Fuck fairness.

Shaking his head, he turns off his robes and brings out his trident. He activates his 2nd ring and finds the fire to be more dense and sludgy, which means it's on the brink of becoming lava which should be helpful for environmental control like how the original Mohg did it whenever he threw his fire around with bloodboon (Xue Tie doesnt do this as the fire is linked to his spirit energy so it greatly weakens until it self extinguishes when there is no supporting spirit power)

Out of curiosity, he turns on his 4th ring and finds the acidic gas spreading much faster and 3 seconds is enough to create a gas cloud that he previously took 6 seconds to create around the army during the capital's invasion.

Fairly satisfied with his progress, he brings back his armor and takes flight once more towards Great Star Dou Forest.

Flying for a bit less than a day thanks to self immolation…i mean primal burst (same thing really), he arrives at dusk. He pays no heed to the setting sun and heads inside the forest at fast speeds that he arrives at the edge of the inner area after a few minutes. He begins searching for a 100k year old beast. He doesnt mind if it's a regular one as the likelihood of multiple beasts over 200k being nearby is unlikely. Some beasts are more cowardly than others, as such, a few turn into humans to save themselves but that is still a good ring.

Traveling around, he spots a seemingly normal pink rabbit chewing on blue silver grass. He smiles to himself mischievously and drops down.

"Aren't you a cutie, Muah" He lands next to the rabbit who begins to run away but he catches it with ease and pets it a bit before kissing the top of its head and letting it go. He flies off once more, satisfied with himself

The rabbit in question looks at him fly off with a confused expression as he goes back to its mother and family.

Satisfied with petting a bunny girl, he soon finds his target. A 100k year old Eagle. Specifically a Typhoon Eagle.

Now typically this would be considered a mix of wind and water type but the people of this world consider Typhoons higher level tornadoes that arrive from the sea as there are very few cities on the shore except fishing villages. So, Xue Tie hopes to get another wind type ability to provide him a boost as he has enough offensive abilities.

'Maybe later on I can master both Fire and wind domains and combine them. That would be cool. I'm sure I can make do with the fire one thanks to the hedonistic fruit i've just absorbed which is why i need a few more wind abilities to comprehend it.

Summoning the trident and reapplying the primal burst as he turned it off when he arrived at the forest. Then for shit and giggles he activates Slaughter Assault to boost his speed even further before charging forth with his trident at the front.

The eagle squawks a bit before it's silenced…permanently. He outright tore off it's wing and half it's chest with the collision. A red ring with a light hint of pale blue rises up. It seems that the beast was barely close to 200k. This brings a smile to his face as he begins to corrupt the ring and it becomes fully Pale Blue as that is seen as the color representing wind.

He absorbs that as his armors 8th ring and grins maliciously as he acquires Deadzone. He can manipulate the air of a 80ft region before him to loss all air (this can even take someone's breath away). If someone isn't careful, they might immediately pass out and not be able to witness the second stage of the ability where the air is returned in the form of an explosive shockwave.

His spirit power stabilizes at level 82 with some progress towards 83 but not much. He is a bit disappointed he didn't gain a buff ability but he makes do as the scientific part of him is excited to try it out.

He takes flight once more to look around for a new ring for his trident. He does not find any sort of wind elemental beast again but he does find a funny looking rhino. It's funny looking because it's not a rhino but a trex at this point of its evolution.

It's also earth based which is why Xue Tie had to do a double take to make sure he wasnt actually just looking at a pile of rocks. It was when it snapped up a very dumb beast that Xue Tie understood. He proceeds to repeat the attack plan: primal burst, slaughter assault, and immutable for good measure.

Adding his now 9x boosted weight (i forgot to update last chapter as it was 8.5x and now it's 9x) into the rocket that he has become. The rhino roars at Xue Tie before the collision arrives. It had the chance to stock up on some more rocks but these were rapidly absorbed and thus not fully augmented with it's energy. So like a hot knife through butter, he cut through the pathetic rocks and stabbed deep into the flesh of the beast. Xue Tie separates from it and is slapped away by it's rocky tail…or so it would seem as the moment the tail comes in contact with Xue Tie while immutable is active. He stands his ground and then seemingly explodes.

But Xue Tie himself is unharmed by the explosion as he quickly realizes the hedonistic fruit mutated his 3rd spirit ring to explode when he is attacked. Making it an offensive defense ability now. As before it was purely defensive with the exception of such scenarios when Xue Tie uses it as a weight boost for his attacks.

The rhino's tail is scorched a bit by the explosion and it roars again before stomping its foot and causing boulders to sprout out of the ground. Their every collision into Xue Tie causes an explosion that breaks the rocks each time. Xue Tie pats the dust off himself and begins to fancily spin his trident around before thrusting it upwards.

"NIHIL"

The rhino outright collapses which shocks Xue Tie as he thought the rhino would still have some vitality left for one more attack or at least to attempt to run maybe. He chalks it up to the hedonistic fruit boosting his bloodline ability. He notices a bit of a black flame being emitted from the beasts body which is quickly extinguished. He gets to absorb his 5th ring for his trident. It's a normal red ring that gains a bit of brown shade which he summarizes that it has reached roughly 170k years old after being corrupted.

With his spirit power stabilizing at level 85, he had enough of the rings as he wants to save the remaining slots for when he reaches titled douluo. As such, he spreads his wings and returns to his kingdom. Where he receives terrible news from his scouts at Spirit Hall.

Surely a happy occasion for many of you readers but I have changed my mind on the harem idea for this novel that I'm pretty sure quite a few of you realized was a thing from one of my early book reviews where I responded to a person asking about harem. I did originally plan for it but ill cancel the ideas since they seem hasty except for Xia Wei's relationship but i'll keep sticking with the one true love bibi dong…she is perfect after all

Gonna have to trash the idea of a baby Xue RongRong (Rong means "glory, honored". So her name would essentially be BLOOD GLORY-GLORY. I find that funny and suitable if I gave her an evil glazed pagoda just for the kick of it.

Since her clan was a subordinate of the glazed tile pagoda so her bloodline COULD have had the pagoda in it but it just skipped her generation or something. She is an oc based on an actual but never seen dead character so i can do whatever I want.

you thought I would also show you the trident new ability. Nah. you will see it soon as a major battle is approaching (winky face). Just gonna say the West Coast of the USA. Piece the rest together yourself.
