Chapter 62: Downfall of the Balak Kingdom 3

Exiting his own musings on his ability. Xue Tie looks at the general who has just coughed up his lungs and blood from the first usage of his 4th ring. He then transitions to his 5th ring which causes a noxious green gas to be emitted from his trident. It lingers around.

This is Xue Tie's 5th spirit skill from his trident which he got from the 200k+ frog beast. It's called Turbulent Air. It's based around taking the frog beasts acid and releasing it as a gas that is flammable. But it's activation turned off his third spirit skill as otherwise it would have been constantly exploding whenever it released the gas. There is some fire lingering around due to the fire tornado Xue Tie conjured earlier but currently he is activating immutable as the general has his avatar swing both swords together under his 1st and 4th ring together, constantly barraging him with draconic swords.

Swords smack against his armored form and Xue Tie can only enact his final move.

"NIHIL" The armored avatar is forced to dissipate as a slightly bloody figure is seen. This is the general Tie Xue who was inflicted with the 100% buffed nihil. Not as bad as a three ringed version but still quite dangerous. The general begins retreating behind the walls while consuming some healing items he had stored away. Xue Tie is about to go after him when he is struck by a spear made of solid rock from the sky. As he didn't have Immutable activated anymore. He was thoroughly smacked away, allowing the general to escape.

"Kagh, ech, damn plot armor. The nemesis always gets away for a 2nd round later, always growing stronger somehow. Not sure how this affects an old man like him but maybe he has a son or grandson who is an unparalleled talent and will come kick my ass in the future" Xue Tie spits up dirt and shakes his head as he looks up after knocking the rest of the dust and rock off him, he sees another old man wearing a regal cloak and suit. In his hand is a shield made of stone in hand. This is the "Immutable Guardian" Monument Douluo, the King of the Balak Kingdom, Liu Sheng.

The king gazes down at Xue Tie and scoffs "Begone from here scourge. You shall not take our land and people. We have suffered worse from Star Luo than you and we still stand" he states and Xue Tie rolls his eyes.

"Well then, aren't you lucky that I'm not Star Luo? I've got a whole new bag of tricks that you haven't even comprehended could exist. Like more titled douluos showing up to kick your ass', His words declare the arrival of 2 cloaked figures who rush at the king and begin pushing him back. His shield deflects attacks from the two titled douluos, sword and staff against shield. The sun combatant is seemingly empowered by the daytime as they emit various light beams and sword attacks through their martial spirits while the other supports them in attacking weak points, blind spots, or just boosting the swordsman.

This creates a situation where the so-called immutable guardian is regularly pushed back. As for Xue Tie?, he has spread his wings and after flying around the area, reconing the city and finding where the general is. He gives chase while transitioning to Slaughter Assault domain state to accelerate his speed.

They meet again on the steps forward to the palace. Sword and trident meet once more but Xue Tie has his primal burst active this time around as well the domain's massive speed burst that Xue Tie at the last minute changes to Armament state so he has speed, two power boosts and his 4th ring still active. This sprays a bit of cloudy acid on the general who groans in pain. But his armor soaks up most of it, not harming him very much.

"Say goodnight to your lovely soldiers. I took my time flying around when I was looking for you"

Xue Tie says, then deactivates his 4th ring and turns on the 2nd again. The fire ignites from the trident and spreads to the vast acidic clouds that burst into flame and begin flowing all the way back to the broken wall where the fight is still going on. The densely packed acid hovering just above the enemy army explodes. Shooting out fire and remnant bits of acid everywhere but mostly on top of the enemy army.

BOOOM

"Noooooo" A yell resounds from the general who can partially see the destruction caused by the explosion. Seeing so many of his people dying so quickly while he is helpless to stop Xue Tie drove him to the tipping point as he calls out.

"Revenants. Claim his soul"

A group of 4 dressed completely in black appear from behind multiple corners to tag team against Xue Tie. They all bear pairs of gauntlets that emit smoke. Xue Tie feels some danger from this but they aren't titled douluo and even only Spirit Emperors so Xue Tie is not too pressured but their teamwork is phenomenal, allowing them to stand against Xue Tie for longer periods of time.

He is trying to conserve some energy since he did waste a bit to cause the acid explosion earlier (constant emission from his ring). As such, he is focusing on using his pure defense and spear techniques to defeat these 4.

After a small while, the general is finished recovering a bit after using his medicines. He calls out once more. "Seal"

The group of 4 create a square formation and take out some strange black sticks and stab them into the ground. Energy fluctuations are felt as a strong barrier is made, trapping both Xue Tie and the general together.

"Heavens might" Xue Tie who had his back to the general, turns around only to be met with a Iron pair of gauntlets emitting holy energy making them look golden. A fist covered in the gauntlets connects to his face as he is smacked against one of the walls of the 100ft barrier.

Xue Tie coughs up some blood as the strange holy energy seems to be antagonistic to him. He looks at the general who is no longer wearing the armor but the pair of gauntlets and a pure set of black rings around him.

"Prepare yourself young man. For your end is nigh"

"Ah shit"
