Chapter 46: Volcanic Region 4, and Desperate Fight

"Howdy Fellas, You all feeling nice and energetic today" Xue Tie says with a teasing tone

"Your insolence knows no bounds human, you shall pay the price for that with your life this day." The dragon says

"Nah, not feeling up to dying just yet. I still have to get married, may have a few kids if i'm feeling nice and quirked up like the white boy i was in my past life"

His statement and relaxed posture confuses all 4 beasts and he was about to release a nihil when the tiger charged at him first. Seemingly aware of his plan, it collides with Xue Tie but he is able to hold his ground with Immutable active, as charges from the tiger are less powerful than that of the bull.

Once the tiger can no longer push him, Xue Tie retaliates by scratching the tiger with his first spirit ring. The shining red claw marks are laid on its cheek as it also tries to swipe at Xue Tie but the explosion knocks it back a few feet that its swipe misses. Xue Tie is about to take to the sky when a new change occurs.

The 200k+ year old dragon unleashes a fire breath that seems to strangely encircle the area like a domain but not quite. The dragon is forced to constantly release the fire to create the blanketing effect. The bull and tiger are inside the dome with Xue Tie.

"Tres" the blood trace ring appears on all 4 of the beasts. As he does that, a few glops of acidic fire are shot over like artillery by the frog outside makeshift domain. Xue Tie releases his true Domination state blood gods domain. Weakening 3 of the 4 beasts and the frog is just out of range but it's artillery is still weakened by the killing intent. The rain of fire serving as the partial domain is weakened and many more gaps open up which Xue Tie could risk to escape if necessary but the dragon is occupied and that's good.

He doesnt need to escalate this 3v1 into a 4v1 anymore than it is. The tiger and bull grow a bit more tense as they are weakened by a bit from the aura. Xue Tie summons up his tornados from his 5th spirit ring to distract his foes.

"DUO" While the tiger and bull are being buffered by the tornado, Xue Tie releases the 2nd blood trace on the group of 4. The bull breaks out of the tornado by coating itself in fire and enlarging itself even further. The original 30 ft tall bull increases to a skyscraping 60 ft tall with the girth to match. In addition to the fire and size, It stomps his front legs forward, creating a powerful and slightly volcanic shockwave that dispels the tornado and even sends ton of stone at Xue Tie who can only dodge out of the way so he is not crushed.

Xue Tie hovers in the air so as not to directly collide with the fire ball around him as it's the bull who is getting hurt by it now that he is so big. But it's fire coating is reducing the amount of pain on it. Xue Tie can only hurry up and release the third ring before activating immutable and the armament state as speed does little for him now. He does this to not suffer too much from the giant bulls wrath.

"Unos. CREAKKLDJSIJ" Xue Tie is smacked into the ground as the Bull recklessly collides it's head into the highly defended. Xue Tie is pushed deep into the ground that it fractures until Lava begins spewing out rampantly everywhere. An eruption occurs, covering the entire battlefield. The dragon stops its breath attack, the bull reduces in size while the other 2 beasts escape the newly made volcano.

The quad group of monsters begin their trek back home after successfully dumping their foe in a vat of pure lava. The sound of explosions occurring behind them as the dormant volcano begins to become an active one from the spiritual energy explosion caused by the collision between Xue Tie and the bull.

"NIHILLLL" a powerful call is made out as 4 beasts explode into bloody piles. The tiger is the one suffering the most as he was already exposed to a Nihil before. The other 3 look back in disbelief and see a black gray figure with gold red outline covered in lava and burns. His face, which is covered in a bone Drake skull, is covered in burns. The initially red drake skull is covered in burn marks as well but unlike the mask, Xue Tie is recovering after getting 4 100k beasts with his Nihil.

"You all better come back and play more. Cause i'm…not…done yet. He says as his feet stomp the already fractured ground. It gives the impression he isn't affected by the lava. And in some sense, he isn't. Adrenaline is a powerful drug.

"Here I was, thinking about letting maybe one or two of you go since I only need 3 rings. But screw it, I'll get my 7th ring now." Xue Tie gruffly says as his lungs burn from the exposure to lava and smoke/steam.

"Wait, powerful lord, Perhaps we can discuss this. I have a 14 thousand year old Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower and a 23 thousand year old Hedonistic Blaze fruit (self made herb) stored away. I've been saving it for quite a while. I was hoping to use them to break-through 300-thousand-years once I get there. I just hope you spare me and one other…actually just me is fine." The 200k year old frog reveals in hopes of preserving it's own life. But Xue Tie just gives it blank look

"While the blaze fruit sounds interesting, especially since I have no clue what it is."

"I'm not lacking immortal herbs in the first place" "This isn't any normal immortal herb. It's a mutated one refined through the evanescent flame that is the core of this place. There is no other like it in the world. It grants a special affinity that is the closest to the flame itself" It continues to try to persuade and Xue Tie cant deny he is enticed by this offer.

Mostly because if his own bloodflame can be upgraded then that is a massive boost to all his fire related abilities. Even if the dumb frog lies, He can still finish it off with Nihil. Unless they are somehow hiding a million year old beast around here somewhere, or a bunch more 100k year old beasts, he is unlikely to perish.

"Hmph, fine, stand aside. I'm still killing the others" he finally decides and tells it to move aside. The other beasts seem to have agonized expressions on their faces, at least except the dragon. The tiger is pale and weak, already flopped over on it's side, the bull has a resistant look but knows it's not fast or strong enough to stop Xue Tie if he turtles up with Immutable to release the nihil. The dragon instead has a calm expression, while there is blood on it's mouth. It seems to have accepted death.

'If only there was some sort of contract method like other cultivation novels then I wouldn't be against having this dragon as a pet. I'm sure if it was the one who was leading the fight right now then it could have gone any way.' Xue Tie complains of the rigidness of this world and is about to unleash one or two more Nihil to finish them off and collect their rings when he pauses.

"Um, excuse me sir. Can you now kill my pet dragon? I'm watching him for a friend of mine." A melodic voice rings out from behind Xue Tie, as such he is forced to turn around but before he does, he can see that all the beasts have panic stricken faces except the dragon who looks embarrassed.

Xue Tie turns around and 'HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK'.

A beautiful tall tanned woman with long chest length reddish brown hair is standing behind him. Her face is arranged in a way that is naturally confident while also having a bit of a teasing expression and he fully expects 'ara ara' from her. She wears a red fiery robe that splits apart into multiple parts around her waist. She is holding a fireball that naturally creates sweat on his face at the heat it emits but the woman and beasts seem unaffected except for the natural nervousness. Even the tiger looks up at her from his wounded state with both expectation and fear. Xue Tie would have thought she was a Hyper Douluo or some other high rank titled douluo if not for the plainly obvious red-white fox ears on her head and tails hanging around her. He fully believes that they can extend and retract at will.

Xue Tie warily puts his trident in front of him but the woman simply says "I'm just here for the dragon, I don't care about whatever setup you have with the other 3. They are just pests to me anyways. If they listen then I reward them, if they don't then I shoo them away but they are still annoying and don't actually leave. Trying to get free benefits for no work." She casually states which causes Xue Tie to relax a bit as he waves the dragon away but he doesnt get a chance as a tail wraps around it's neck and drags it away.

"Ara. What have I told you about hanging out with those 4. Nothing but trouble.So mischievous in your young age" the woman says and both her and the dragon disappear faster than Xue Tie can even perceive.

'I was right on both counts of the tail and the Ara'.

Xue Tie turns back to the three beasts while placing his hand on his chest. "Sorry Bibi, my faith was shaken. How was I supposed to expect that the pinnacle of beings, a true divine beast would show itself before me? Calm down Xiao Tie, don't bust a nut from overthinking. I already have plenty of women back home who desire me." he whispers to himself in an attempt to recompose himself before shaking his head and releasing the Nihil as intended.

The tiger and bull both die shortly after. Their red rings rising up. The Bull which is older has a bit of an orange tint to it which Xue Tie is sure will progress more once purified. He goes over to the tiger ring which is 150k years old and purifies it. It becomes 170k years old afterwards and he absorbs it. He has to drink 50 blood potions. Mostly to heal his injuries again while the rest are to smoothen the absorption of the 4th ring for his trident. He also received another leg bone from it which satisfies Xue Tie quite a bit as other than the rarer bones which are chest and head pieces, he has a full set.

It also makes sense that a leg bone dropped from the tiger as the femur is the strongest bone in a tiger's body. But that also makes him less optimistic about the bull. He hopes that his bones all provide a variety of effects and not just offensive abilities.

On another note, his spirit power reached 70 which means he could get his 7th ring now if he wanted but that goes against his entire plan. He can directly get his 5th and maybe 6th ring now if he finishes off the frog after robbing it of it's treasures.

'Ah screw it, ill get my 7th ring. It's just hunting down a few more 100k year old beasts. Nothing too it' He finally decides and absorbs the 190k year old bulls ring which after being corrupted had evolved into 220k years old and turned fully orange. It's somewhat of a 'neon' orange. A bit wavy like lava which makes sense with the fire affinity it has. He didn't forget to drink potions in case he reaches his limit at all during the absorption process.

This is naturally the case as it's only thanks to his strong body that he can even survive on something like this. But his body is reaching it's limits from this ring and he needs to strengthen himself before he can even think of absorbing anything higher. Which means the frog gets to live. For a while more.

By the way, his level reached 72 immediately and he has his martial spirit body which actually works a bit like a clone since it's an armor type martial spirit. Xue Tie can't get the idea of Sewer Mohg out of his head. The clone has access to his armor's spirit rings but not the trident or its abilities, So he needs a separate weapon for it to wield since it can.

"Lead the way. And don't try anything funny. I'm not against knocking you out so I can refine my body so that I can survive to absorb your ring. In fact I still may if the herb you describe aren't as impressive as you state it is." He threatens the frog which has transformed into a human. He…He is…a bit rotund….and by rotund, I mean fucking fat.

'Guess Giant frogs eat Giant Flies?' he mocks in his mind. The frogman simply nods in nervousness at the threat and leads the way
