Chapter 29: Exploring the Hidden Zone of Slaughter City

Chapter 29: Exploring the Hidden Zone of Slaughter City

Xue Tie made his way to Slaughter City with his new wings. He is dazed by the feeling of flying through his own effort. Even though it consumes tons of Spirit Power. Xue Tie will be able to refine his movement more later on down the line.

If anything, Xue Tie is shocked that the new evolved form of his is so heavy and yet he can still fly. He can only think of all the memes of fat people jumping into pools and it cutting to a nuke going off playing in his head. He chuckles a bit at the thought and continues his way on.

It takes him roughly 4 days of straight flying to arrive at the destination on his map. It's actually not that far from the tavern itself but it's far enough. His speed while flying is twice his own running speed. As it would have taken him 8 days or more if he had to avoid the cities on his way or any other annoyance in his way.

It's a glorious feeling to fly due to its rarity as even some titled douluos cant do so. It takes a few years for most to be able to stand on air, essentially hovering or creating platforms of energy in the air to be able to skip around. But all the old monsters he knows can do it and even a few he doesnt.

Once he arrives at the location, he finds himself above a city that has red smog covering it. It's the highest definition of a ghost town if not for the fact that this place is Slaughter City, Yet a barrier was placed around which prevents people who have not obtained the domain from leaving unless they reach a prerequisite level of strength such as Titled Douluo. Luckily Xue Tie has other options. He moves over to the nearby valley and finds a shard of metal. Most would assume that the shard used to be part of someone's broad sword but this is actually a lever to reveal another cave like structure where he then places a token against a spot like the ancestral land but a different token that Xue Tie got from his parents. The cave opens deeper, revealing a pit with seemingly no way forward.

The doors close behind Xue Tie as he takes out the talisman and channeling some energy, causing it to glow. And writing on the wall is revealed. It states "no_______Ahead, Touch____". Xue Tie can only shake his head at what his map asks him to write that he is almost certain that whoever came up with them is also from his world but they spent their lives as shitposters.

With great reluctance, he wrote 'Mother' and 'Grass' for the two slots. A wall on the other end of the gorge opens up which Xue Tie leisurely floats across with his wings. He then dismisses his martial spirit as he has finally arrived. With the map, he is aware that there are a total of 5 rooms in this underground secret room. The Domain Formation room, One Bedroom and one kitchen, which also serves as an alchemy room, and then a cultivation room. Finally there is the bathroom. It's a pretty simple base with all the necessary needs a man needs.

Xue Tie explores each room one by one. The bedroom has a nice King sized bed. Why it's so big, Xue Tie has no idea. The bathroom is an ornate marble bathroom following a light Gray coloring.

The cultivation room feels like a simple gamer room except for the lack of electronics. Just a nice and simple pillow in the middle of the room to relax on and if he wasn't underground, the view would probably be great.

The final room is an odd one to be sure. It looks like a mini cathedral room with rings of symbols arranged in an esoteric way that leaves much to contemplation. Each layer, leading away from the center spot, is slightly more elevated than the other. Near the center are 3 holes arranged with enough space that Xue Tie instinctively knows that he has to put his trident there.

He holds off on messing with anything yet as he finds the door that leads to the Slaughter City itself. After some investigation through the door. Xue Tie feels his energy suppressed and comes out just next to the river of blood. Luckily he already put on his bracelet, Cy. As the river of blood is only a short distance from the Slaughter Palace.

Xue Tie naturally makes his way back to avoid detection while shivering a bit from the potential close call.

Xue Tie settles in since he knows he will be here a while.
