In the end, the Shrek Seven Monsters are still created, as ordained by fate but their temperaments start out better as compared to the originals. Such as RongRong not trying to hire Tang San to kill Dai Mubai or anything like that.

They still go through their own twists and turns as MuBai still considers RongRong a pretentious little princess but won't go out of his way to anger her as he has long heard about the good relationship the First Empyrean Emperor had with the Seven Glazed Tile Pagoda Clan and with him being an escaped prince, he doesnt really want to draw their attention even though he already has. But he doesnt know that.

Afterall, no point in further angering Star Luo by killing their prince, Empyrean would rather nurture him within their care since they know that Shrek is secretly sponsored by them. They could nurture him and partially ensure his loyalty since they know he technically ran from home due to being pressured by his kin to go for the throne.

The Empyrean Queen successor who had gotten married after a few years of running by herself had been given a warning about shrek that if they ever assemble a full team of 7 'monsters', then they should be supported regardless of background. This is the esoteric message left behind by Xue Tie when he passed the throne over. Granted it's only specified to the first generation of it.

Soon enough, the grandmaster comes to visit Shrek and since he doesnt have Tang San as his student, the 7 'monsters' look down on him a bit with the exception of Tang San himself who is willing to study under him but not call him 'teacher' as unlike the original scene, Xiaogang isn't able to outright impress Tang San as he is more confident in himself. Even when Xiaogang analyzed that Tang San had twin martial spirits, it didn't raise any waves with him as Tang San just used the argument that his mother is also a user of blue-silver spirit grass and even reached Spirit Douluo (level 80+) thanks to the blood beasts giving her a ring that was artificially elevated through ring refinement.

Once again Xiaogang is stumped as he keeps stating that blue silver grass shouldn't have such potential. He accidentally says this outloud which gets on Tang Sans' nerve as he feels this is an insult to his mother. He also becomes dismissive of the potential knowledge that Xiaogang has as the the tidbits he learned over the course of a few days under Xiaogang's care whilst training rock weights was all knowledge that his mother and father already taught to him before he even joined the academy once he awakened. He at most learned one or two details but during this time, it was revealed to him by Ma Hongjun that all the knowledge that the 'grandmaster' has was all acquired from Spirit Hall.

This instantly attracted the hatred of Xiao Wu and she forced Tang San to stop learning from him as well. It is due to this reason that Tang San learned that Xiao Wu's mother was killed by Spirit hall long ago shortly before they met at the academy. Tang San who already knows that Xiao Wu is a spirit beast naturally believes that Xiao Wu's mother was a 100k year old beast who gave up her life to keep Xiao Wu safe. Since he follows the tenets of The Tang Sect from his old world. He righteously joins Xiao Wu in her Hatred for Spirit Hall as he is quite fond of her.

Even though Tang San gave up on the grandmaster, the seven monsters still listened to his advice as he is still an expert strategist that they can learn from. Thus, they embarked onto Sunset forest for their next spirit rings as Oscar just broke through to level 30 and Tang San as well just as they were about to head out.

There, they helped Oscar get the Phoenix Tail crest serpent but they strangely didn't meet Meng Yiran and Chao TianXiang but met an expedition team from Spirit hall and a fight almost broke out but Flender utilized a certain item he got from Xue Tie long ago. It is similar to what Spirit Hall uses for the 7 honorary markers of authority except the information has spread out long ago that holders of these tablets are considered close to Empyrean. Thus under threat of war from an Empire should anything happen to them because of Spirit hall, the spirit hall expedition team retreated whilst glaring at them. They almost gave it a try anyways to see if it was bullshit or not yet they stopped in fear at what happened next.

Naturally, Er Ming makes an appearance and kidnaps Xiao Wu like canon, his appearance scares Spirit Hall as they can just hold their own against the Shrek team's elders but not someone like Er Ming. So they retreated while gloating that their friend was dead. Tang San gave chase and encountered the human faced spider to acquire his external spirit bone.

Xiao Wu eventually returns shortly after Tang San finishes his breakthrough while saying she also broke through and got herself a new spirit ring too. They happily begin to return but are stopped by the rampant miasma that surrounds the Ice Fire Yin Yang well. Tang San is able to sneak in through an opening that Xue Tie had prepared beforehand for this place as Dugu Bo serves as its administrator on behalf of the Blood Hall. Xue Tie had set up formations to allow his people easier access but for someone like Tang San with his special eye technique, he was able to notice the inconsistency and get in. He was shell shocked at the grandeur of the local fauna but is quickly caught by Dugu Bo who is living a carefree life as a herbalist and gardener for Blood hall and occasionally an advisor for Heaven Dou and it's Capital Academy. His affiliation is considered an open secret which is why he doesnt have any large scale position in Heaven Dou itself but maintains a good relationship with it.

Tang San would originally be killed by Dugu Bo but he quickly learns that he is from Shrek and thinks back to a conversation he had with his savior and old friend, Xue Tie about the hope he has for a certain school. Dugu Bo then learns Tang Sans name and hands him a note he got from that same conversation.

Tang San reads it and is bewildered by it saying, "For the impetuous god-son who was denied my glorious self at birth, I leave 50% of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang well to you. You would have long had this glory if your parents chose me over your grandfather so you have to find this place yourself to be worthy of it." Tang San thinks fondly of his 'uncle Iron", Dugu Bo tries to recruit Tang San into the Blood Hall but is rejected. Expecting something like this, he allows Tang San to leave with a few herbs as a sign of good faith for someone who was considered 'family' by Xue Tie. Tang San gathered a few of these herbs which he knew of for his team to help them grow or evolve their martial spirits far earlier than the original story as he was only destined to such a fate. This was to happen some time after their stint at the Spirit arena and then be denied at heaven Dou academy, then kidnapped by the original Dugu Bo until he was cured.

Tang San returns to the others with the herbs which causes waves of shock to flow through them as just like canon, Ning RongRong achieves a martial spirit mutation to 9 layer pagoda. The others experienced a great boost and they had to continue hunting for more spirit rings as Dai Mubai achieved level 40 by this point and Ma Hongjun at level 30. Xiao Wu still ended up with the new yearning Heartbroken Red, it's not quite on the level as the original that was taken away by RongRongs mother, Xia Wei who had long eaten the flower once she found her faith shaken and decided to settle down with Ning Fengzhi.

Flender was given Nine Treasure Purple Zoysia and he gave it to his friend the grandmaster who finally breaks his limits and goes into tears. While Flender is the one who gave him the herb, he still recognizes Tang San as the one who helped him achieve a new milestone in his life.

The Zoysia was the youngest herb amongst the group as it had been harvested twice before. The first personally by Xue Tie when he claimed the land, the second time was for a business sale with the Clear Sky clan for Tang Yuehua to achieve her own breakthrough in life.

Her flower was much older than the grandmasters as she actually now has hope of reaching Spirit Douluo in her life while the younger age of the grandmasters one only allows him to at most reach spirit king but that is a glory he could have never had before regardless and thus is thankful he no longer holds back the golden trinity.
