1 Life of Odracir

My name is Odracir Anima, I was once a craftsman on Earth, but with my death caused by old age, I was transported to a new world, in the body of an infant I grew up in a village, ignorant of the outside world, until I hit the age of 16, I stumbled upon ancient ruins miles away from my village, there I learned that magic existed in this world, I gained the inheritance of a powerful lineage of soul mages.

They were not restricted in the type of magic they could use, but that was not their main strength, they could enchant things with much higher ability and with less restrictions. It wasn't until later I learned how coveted an ability it was, because if a mage wanted to enchant something, they would either need affinity for that element, or multiple mages working together.

Often I had to run and hide from greedy individuals coveting my cultivation method, and my secrets on enchanting. It wasn't until I finally reached the Heavenly Mage level, that I was able to completely protect myself, and escape if needed from stronger enemies. Eventually, I ended up befriending a crown prince of a warring kingdom, upon his succession of the throne, he appointed me his advisor.

With him I created many different types of things to help his kingdom, From magic sewage system and toilets, to artificial greenhouses, I never directly designed any weapons of war for him, nor did he ask because he knew I disliked such things, but I did not stop him from working with his other military mages to repurpose my designs, Like the earth stabilizing enchantments to prevent buildings from crumbling during earthquakes, or shockwaves from power figures fighting, turned into one of the strongest great walls that only overlord mages or warriors could destroy. Or the construction golems turned into sturdy infantry that never fatigued, never rested.

Nearing the end of my life, at a ripe age of 476 years old. The warring kingdom turned into an empire, almost reaching the ranks of celestial empire. I was betrayed by my disciple, stabbed in the back.. Well throat. He was urged by some power behind him no doubt, driven by greed, probably to get my cultivation method, which can only be taught by thought transfer… ending that heritage. My greatest regret though, would have to be that the journal of my inventions that he stole, was only my thinking journal… and not my actual invention journal, there were so many designs in there that would have helped the myriad races.

I lie down in my house, burning around me with my last thoughts of how I could have helped the common people, because the gods know that the nobles will not help unless it benefits them. With the light in my eyes fading and the light of the fire covering me, I feel a jerk in my soul, an unassuming gemstone, that looks closer to a rock, started to shine brightly. It was a dungeon core, one of the natural treasures of the world, everything about a dungeon is danger and opportunity.

If one managed to claim the core of a dungeon, they would be able to use it as a very powerful magical stone, even younger ones. This one was weird because when it was taken, it had no magical power, if not for a truth spell, the person selling the core to be would have been jailed. I could never figure it out, now it was sucking my soul into it… As the last of my consciousness lingered, I heard a deafening explosion, then darkness.
