34 The Training

"Mei, Ying, is this your first time to see and hold a vessel?" Fang asked and took a tray containing six types of vessels with the class symbol attached in front.

"Yes," Mei answered while Yami shook his head. He had seen and used one before.

"Then, Mei grab the vessel that has a wand symbol. It's a Mage vessel," Fang stated cheerfully and pushed the tray toward Mei for her to get the item of choice.

"O-okay," Mei took a deep breath before she grabbed the vessel. The item was hard and cold.

Yami looked at the vessels and grabbed the Assassin one since it was the class he had experience using with the system. Although, he was still conflicted on what vessel class he would operate under the Defense base.

"Now, the two of you say, Soul On," Fang instructed with excitement.

"Soul On," Mei stated, and her body transformed into an artificial body with a new set of Warrior rank clothes.

"Mei, how are you feeling?" Shun asked. He was worried that she may feel uncomfortable with a new body that she wasn't used to.

"I feel indifferent, just like my original body," Mei said while moving her arms.

"I see, by turning on the vessel, your body has been replaced with an artificial one, and you can't feel any pain," Fang added. She went in front of Mei and pinched her cheeks. "Do you feel pain?"

"N-no," Mei shook her head adorably. "I feel nothing."

Yami, on the other hand, was looking at his soul ring. He was deciding if he could use it while activating the base vessel.

"Ah, Ying. Remove your ring before activating the vessel," Fang stated when she saw Yami staring into his ring.

"Okay," Yami slid the ring off his finger. He turned around to hide how he put the soul ring back on the system's inventory for safety. It would look like the ring vanished in thin air.

Yami felt that his original body was heavier compared to when he used the soul ring. He looked down at the vessel and grasped it tightly. "Soul On!"

Yami's clothes changed into the Warrior rank artificial body, similar to Mei. He moved his body to catch any dissimilarity between the soul ring and the vessel's artificial body.

'I feel much lighter using the soul ring,' Yami thought while taking a few steps across the room. 'But this is good too.'

"So, how's the experience, Ying?" Shun asked with a smile. "It's your first time trying out our base vessel."

"I feel good," Yami answered. He didn't want to go into detailed comments as it would give them ideas about the advantages of his soul ring. Yami wanted to hide the system and how it functioned.

"That's settled then. I'll go and set up the virtual training room for you three," Fang went to the table with three monitors for each room.

They were currently on the 4th floor of the branch building, where training rooms were located for the Combatants to practice and improve their skills and tactics.

Yami turned and stared at the three rooms in front of him with numbers 1 to 3 attached to each door.

"I'll arrange Mei's room first," Fang stated and activated room 01. She clicked on one of the folders available for a room change. "There you go, I put an environment suitable for a Mage."

The plain white room changed into new scenery with vast plains.

"Let's go," Yan, Mei's mentor, gestured for her to enter the room and start their practice.

"Okay," Mei ran behind her mentor.

"What room type do you want, Ying?" Fang asked and gestured for him to look at her screen, but he refused.

"I don't want to train," Yami stated and looked at Lihua, who was waiting for him in room 02. "I want a duel to serve as my practice with the new vessel."

"Oh, you talk big for a little guy like you," Lihua smirked. She liked how Yami was confident in his own skill, which made her more motivated to defeat Yami to dust. "Don't cry if you lose."

"Same to you," Yami replied. Both looked at each other with excitement and passion for winning against each other. The pride between two strong fighters.

'I need to see how great I can be using this vessel,' Yami thought while grasping the vessel in his hand.

"Can you set a regular room for us, Fang?" Lihua asked with a smug look.

"Sure!" Fang exclaimed and activated room 02. "Enjoy you two!"

"Thanks!" Yami smiled and went inside the room where Lihua was already standing impatiently with an arrogant look.

"How about you, Shun?" Fang asked and looked at Shun, who had a worried look on his face.

"We'll have the regular room too," Quan, Shun's mentor, stated and walked toward room 03. "Shun is already an official Combatant. There's no need for him to train but to enhance his skills."

"Roger!" Fang pressed enter, and the room activated.

Quan entered the room while Shun stayed outside for a bit. He took a couple of deep breaths before he went to the room.

"I got this!"

Shun was nervous since he would be fighting a Legend rank Combatant. He knew his skills weren't excellent compared to Yami's, but he was determined to learn and be more robust.

All six of them were inside the room.

Su Fang stretched her body and watched them through her monitor to assist and supervise them.

"Hello~" Xuxu appeared at the entrance while scratching his stomach.

"Ah, Xuxu, hello," Fang greeted and motioned him to sit beside her. "They are already starting."

"That's great," Xuxu yawned and leaned on Fang's shoulder. "Ying looks strong enough to beat Lihua."

"Shh, Lihua will spank you if she heard that," Fang giggled and playfully pinched Xuxu's chubby cheeks.

Xuxu ignored Fang's words and watched the screen. "That guy with glasses looks fragile."

"Xuxu!" Fang softly bonked Xuxu's head, but she knew Shun was slightly behind in strength. "Shun can always improve."
