Enter Liliana

"Can't you, fit it in already!" I cried out since it had been almost three minutes since Clare had been trying to park between two cars.

"Shut up or I'll let you find your own way home! .... And phrase your words better!" Clare shouted in embarrassment.

It took Clare another two minutes for her to finally park the car. We left the parking lot and went towards the third exit gate. Her flight should be arriving soon.

"Are you sure she going to be here?" Clare asked with a hint of doubt in her voice.

"Funny, how you're only asking this now. Don't worry she send me a text yesterday saying that she was boarding the plane." I said as I showed her the message.

Clare and I stood there looking around the area as other persons left their gates. There was a lot of persons with stern faces, who looked straight ahead out the airport. There was also a few who had looks of confusion on their faces as they left the gate and onto the lobby not knowing what else they should be doing but the faces of the persons who had loves one waiting them came out of the gate with some of the largest similes on their faces. Everyone who was there felt happy just because their love one was there. Who said it was hard to make someone else happy, sometimes all it takes is to be there.

After waiting for a while, the gated open and persons began to leave the gate. I kept my eyes wide open making sure that I don't miss her as my eyes darted from one passenger to another. After around what I think was a hundred passengers, I began to give up hope until I saw a petite girl trying her best to push a luggage trolley with four extremely large bags on it.

*Pfft I try my best not to laugh seeing a petite girl pushing a large luggage trolley. I would run to help, but it was against the norm for people that came from outside the airport to run into the gate.

"I'm guessing that's her since you're well manner enough that you won't laugh at a stranger." Clare stated as I nodded my head to give her conformation

When she finally got up the last bit of incline, she starts to look around after she let out a sign of relief. She had a large, happy playful smile when she saw me, but it changed into a polite smile afterwards.

After she left the gate, Clare and I began to approach her. Liliana had on some plain white sneakers with a white t-shirt with a Pikachu image under a denim overall. She had long hair that was made into a ponytail that fell onto one side of her shoulder along with a Buneary hairpin on one of the sides.

"Hello, My name's Liliana Wu." Liliana introduce herself with an out stretch arm. She had a cute, squeaky voice that I wonder what would it sound like if she was ever angry. But maybe I shouldn't, it's normally the small ones that throw the worst tantrum.

"Hi, my name's Jason Xu." I replied as I lightly shook her hand.

"Hi, Hi, I would be Jason's big sister Clare. You're so cute." Clare jump toward her to give her a big hug.

After seeing Liliana struggling to get out of Clare's hug. I walk toward them and tug onto Clare arms.

"Hey, you're suffocating her with your milk sacks."

"Sorry about Clare." I told her after giving her a few seconds to catch her breath while Clare face was red with embarrassment.

Liliana looked at me carefully and then looked towards Clare with a confused expression on her face.

"We're not related by blood or through marriage but due to circumstances, I do consider Clare my big sister." I explain to her after seeing her confused expression.

"Jason asked me to come since he can't drive." Clare added in mockingly.

I walk over to push her luggage since it would be a lot easier for me.

"Should we head for the car or would like to do something else?" Clare ask Liliana.

"Let's head for the car." She said as she sweetly shook her head.

Liliana's luggage was really heavy, so I ended up lagging behind Clare and Liliana a bit.

Clare and Liliana were walking pleasurably up in front, have a quiet conversation.

"Miss Clare, what circumstance made you two sworn siblings? Sorry if it sounds rude but I never heard of persons taking being sworn brother and sister serious, other than in novels." Liliana asked Clare all flustered.

"I don't mind talking about it. There was a time where Jason felt like the only family that understand me. My father didn't know what to do, since he hasn't had any such experiences before. In my darkest time where I was thought that I was all alone, Jason was there like a little brother." Clare explained with a smile towards Liliana.

That was the last thing I heard from them since they hopped on the elevator to go down towards the parking lot without even waiting for me.

"Took you long enough, you've gotten weaker in these times of peace." Clare openly mock me while Liliana giggle to the side.

"Well, I'm sorry." I apologized with a bit of angry to it.

"What do you have in here?" I asked with no other reason than being curious.

"Jason that rude, you don't ask what's in a lady's suitcase." Clare reprimand me.

I loaded the heavy suitcase into the car and saw Clare shoving Liliana toward the front seat. "It more comfortable in the front, leave the backseat for Jason." Clare told Liliana.

I opened the door and hopped in the backseat with a smile on my face since I knew Clare would be watching in the rear-view mirror. Luckily for Clare, the parking lot was empty so it wasn't difficult for her to leave the parking lot.

As we drove on the high way, Liliana had an expression of bliss while she looks out the window. I'm guessing that she enjoying the view.

"How are you feeling" Clare asked.

After a few awkward seconds, Liliana knew that the question was directed to her. "Feels great! Oh, how the fresh air taste. I saw it from the sky and during landing but landing in a middle of a forest has a mythical feeling."

Most airports in cities around the world are usually built of concrete and asphalt on flat land. But Veligonnia decide to go with a different approached, the airport was located onto of a flat hill surrounded by a forest.

The city planner knew about noise pollution and how unnatural it would feel to have an airport in the city. So, the plan they came up with is to flatten out a large hill and build an airport there. The forest was added in to absorb the noise pollution and soon animals had gotten used to the plane noise and started to flourish in the forest. The entire parameter is fence off, to prevent any unfortunate animal from the incoming path of a plane.

For those that don't want to take the winding roads up towards the airport, there was a gondola that connect the top and bottom. There is plan in development to connect the metro all the way over toward the airport but currently there is only a bus line in existence. I never taken the ride on the gondola but what I heard it like floating in the forest. During the morning dew it really does have than magical feels towards you. It was said that one person smoked some cannabis on the gondola one morning, and claim that he was able to cast the patonus charm and see his patronus appear before his eyes. I'm guessing that since he was at that altitude, he started to see things appear in the fog.

"Does the city always have such a natural charm to it?" Liliana asked with a longing expression and tone.

"The city has a relaxing and easy going feel, it very hard to feel stressed in Veligonnia." I told Liliana.

"How the heck can you feel stressed, sad maybe but never stressed. You can just go fishing in the canals if you ever feel stressed." Clare added in .

The canals in Veligonnia was made to feel like a river. Since the source is a spring near the central pond, all the surface water is connected. Because of the beauty of the canals, it is strictly forbidden to litter inside the city. I guess that something that no different from Singapore, it's strong laws against petty crimes. The city of Veligonnia police doesn't even need to enforce the law since Veligonnia citizens cares so much that they would always stop anyone from even thinking about littering. The sewage system as I learned in an old book, uses a different route to manage the city waste. The route all diverge from the pond in the city center and spreads outwards. Because of that there are a lots of small sewage treatment plants on the outskirts of the city.

The rest of the long trip from the airport was mainly about us talking about the beauty and charm of Veligonnia while Liliana listened to us keenly.
