Retraced Reminder

It was on a Saturday morning, and he was ten!!

"Rise and shine my sunshine". She urged as she opened the door and walked up to his bed.

There he lies, beautifully asleep with his chubby cheek puffed out.

"Come on sunshine, wake up". She urged once more, carefully sitting herself down on his bed, and beside him.

He groaned weakly as he rolled around the bed in agony with his eyes closed.

"You can't fool me. I know you are awake now get up". She pressed on.

"Five minutes more... Mom". He begged, still half asleep.

"Fine". She says as she gets up from his bed. "Five minutes more equates to skipping the amusement park today". She added, already at the door and about to get out.

He hastily sprung off the bed and jumped down on the floor.

"I am up". He said with a force of enthusiasm.

"What's the matter. Don't you want to keep sleeping? You can do just that, and I promise never to disturb you". She teased.
