Racing Toward Death

Why?...

Don't we all have those moments, a time when we question the obvious?!

Why am I here right now? Why am I being chased by a pack of hungry-looking beasts? Why are they all laughing as they watch a scene that might end up getting bloody? Why am I being rescued by a woman I have never met before? Why... Why...

Right now, I am having one such moment.

I am being dragged on the stage by a strange woman. Both our lives are in danger, and frankly speaking, I believe she would have a better shot at surviving the grasp of those beasts if she just left me be.

Rather, she isn't doing that. Strange, isn't it?!!

She continued to pull me forward all the while wearing herself out faster. The beasts got closer and the gap between us diminished with time.

I had no idea what was going on but I knew if things were left as it is, it would turn nasty.
