Death!!!

I was thrown off of the back of the macro scorpio and forced to crash land by having my back hit against a tree.

The tree shuddered as it accepted my fall, and its leaves rained down on me in droves when I fell to the ground.

I hurriedly picked myself off the ground and made haste to move away from my current location.

The macro Scorpio is so fast that all it took for it to get to me is a single dash of its body.

With the momentum it dashed at, the macro Scorpio was unable to control its body to stop even after I had gotten away.

It dashed and eventually had its head crash against the tree. I was more shocked to see the tree collapse from the impact made on it by the macro-scorpio.

How strong would one have to be to fell a tree from simply crashing its body on it? Even worse is that the macro Scorpio took no damage from the altercation.

This has helped me greatly to confirm the absurd durability the creatures of this world are blessed with.

They are on a completely different level from the animals we have on Earth. No, no, no. It's a mistake and an insult to compare the likes of these creatures to the meek animals on Earth.

Now that my cover is blown, I am forced into a situation where I have to fight it head-on while applying extra caution to what I do.

I also need to make sure that no matter what happens, I don't get stung by its stinger.

The macro Scorpio fixed its gaze on me as it intently marked me as a potential target.

Not only did I catch it in an ambush and almost killed it, but I was also fast enough to evade its attack before it got to me.

In a way, I guess I can say that I too am improving, surely.

Like a bull, the macro Scorpio fiercely charged at me, lunging its stinger to take the lead in the assault.

I... I stood my ground and waited for the macro Scorpio to get to me.

Once it had almost gotten to my side, I steeled my footing on the ground and propelled myself up.

With that, I was able to be above the macro Scorpio and also able to evade the beast by having it go under me.

I had underestimated how tenacious a beast of its capacity could be.

While I had jumped above the macro Scorpio, it passed under me. Thinking that it would make the same mistake as the first time when it was unable to stop its speed and momentum.

And I was right. This time as well, the macro Scorpio was unable to put a stop to its abrupt speed.

However, there was one crucial thing I overlooked about it. And that was its ability to reflexively control its stinger.

As I was above it, even way above its stinger, and waiting for it to pass me by first or for my body to finally jump past its range.

The macro Scorpio caught me in between!!

It did not stop its hastiness but instead made use of its absolute control of the stinger at its disposal.

While I was above, staring down at it below like a parallel line stacked atop each other.

The macro Scorpio took advantage of the situation and aimed its stinger at me.

Flash!!!

Was how the stinger shot toward me, leaving me almost defenceless and barely able to counter.

Reflexively, I raised my guard, placing both my hands in front of my chest.

It was all I could do since my body was still floating, and I had yet to gain control of all bodily functions, especiallymy leg that could help navigate my path away from the stinger.

The tip of its stinger made contact with my arm flesh, going further as it pressed into my skin and penetrated deep into the inner skin, going even further as it moved into the right hand that was outward, and then came out through the left hand that was close to my chest.

Hurriedly, while I was still in midair, I forcefully had my body pushed backwards, away from the macro Scorpio.

"ARGRGH!!!".

I yelled as a result of having the stinger removed from my skin.

Abruptly, I landed on the ground with both feet and slid down from the impact.

Raising my hand I saw how badly my right and left hand had been injured.

I have a hole drilled in both arms, a little down the elbow part. It cut it clean, leaving flesh hanging on the outside of the pierced skin.

Blood gushed out from the hole and spilt on the ground in large quantities.

I was mortified. My body was bleeding an enormous amount that would have me passing out in probably minutes, yet I had no luxury to care for that because I still had a problem to deal with.

My arms were trembling and I could feel myself losing contact with the nerves that aid in control.

The pain as well did not subside. Added to the fright of seeing blood rush out from your body and a clear open wound on your skin that allows you to see through the other side of the hole.

None of those helped calm me down. In a sense, I was appalled!!!

My breathing was heavy. My consciousness was about to fail me as I staggered to keep my feet in check.

What was happening to me?!!!

I had a hard time getting my thoughts together as I could faintly feel my body being emptied of the liquid it contained.

My eyes?!! They were heavy and baggy, weighing down my lids and in a desperate attempt to have themselves closed.

Still, I did not give them the luxury. No, I couldn't!!!

If I so much as lose sight of myself, I will die.

"Die!!!!".

The word once again resounded in my head, reminding me of my goal and promise to stay alive for her sake.

What have I done?!!!....

This was a question I contemplated hard on as I saw my mother's smile, her final smile flash through my eyes.
