21 Chapter 20: The Fight

Viona trembled to think she would betray her husband. The more she thought about it, the more awful it was for her. She shook her head. "I can't do it!"

Her neighbor patted her back as she observed what had happened in the field. Gerald shielded Sophia with his body and covered her so none could catch her. Sophia shivered as she was terrified of what would happen next. She didn't expect her honesty would be a huge problem for her and her parents. 

Sophia bit her lower lip while holding the lower side of her dress. She squeezed the dress subconsciously and glanced in her mother's direction. Viona was crying and shaking uncontrollably as the dire situation was too hard to handle.
