1 The Great War

Legend has it that there was once a great war between good and evil. Bad and good fought and in the process, different gods and goddesses sacrificed their lives to end the war and to eradicate the evil. Unfortunately, the leader of the evil had strong unbeatable power shielding the evil. He appeared unbeatable but unfortunately for him, an evil god who was an outcast: neither from the good not the bad but had evil intentions to dominate all the realms. After the goddess of souls, light, and war sacrificed their lives by stabbing themselves with their swords and releasing their most powerful aura and thereby, knocking the leader of the evil unconscious. When it seemed that victory was sure, the evil god arose and attacked. The emperor of the good side could not even withstand the sight of the evil god. They could not fight him alone and the good and the bad both fought together for the first time to save all the realms. But the only one who could defeat the evil god was already knocked out unconscious. The evil god was already spreading its evil spirit and possessed everyone in the battle field and was slowly going beyond.

"Where's the supreme goddess?" a lady said rushing towards another woman. Both of them were maids. They were in a very large palace. "What's going on?" the other maid asked. "The evil god is spreading the evil spirit. We have to protect the supreme goddess. Where is she?" "In the garden. We have to hurry", the second maid said running alongside the other maid. They ran to the beautiful garden which was unlimited. They saw the young beautiful little goddess who was merely a child having the appearance of an eight year old in the mortal world but she had hundreds of thousands of years of cultivation. She was watering some flowers with her powers and making others blossom. "Your Highness!" The maids screamed. The supreme goddess turned.

"Your Highness, we have to escape. We have to run otherwise...." the first maid was saying when dark black clouds surfaced. The evil aura had engulfed the sky and possessed them draining all their energy and they started having black lines all over their body and black aura surrounding them. The supreme goddess walked towards them. "What's wrong? Lady Kim..." the supreme goddess asked coming closer to them.

"Stay away! Run!" they shouted. They were already shredding and we're disappearing as they went through unbearable pain.

The supreme goddess was filled with fear and she started crying as she ran in another direction. As she ran, she saw a male servant who she was close to and always called uncle. He was approaching her with a sword in his hand. She stopped and started shifting backwards taking slow steps.

"Uncle.... what's wrong?.....uncle what are you doing?" she said as she shifted backwards in fear. "I'm going to kill you and dominate all the realms. I will end you forever and rule", the servant laughed.

"Uncle... no... you're the evil god ...what have you done to my uncle?....." "I'll kill you and end your chapter". "Snap out of it, uncle.....uncle snap out of it!" she shouted.

Her foot hit a stone and she fell down feeling immense pain. She started crying. She was hurt. The servant pointed the sword at her. She continued crying, tears overflowing in her eyes, "uncle.... I'm hurt..... please stop it", she cried. Her foot was bleeding profusely. He raised the sword and attempted beheading her. She closed her eyes waiting for the strike but it didn't come. She opened her eyes and saw the sword pass info through her neck. She felt nothing but the sensation. 'It's an illusion', she realized as she watched the servant disappear. Her foot healed and she stood up. "Uncle", she called. She turned behind her and a sword went through her stomach. She was too shocked to scream. The evil god had taken human form and stabbed her.

"Pull out the sword", a voice said. It was the goddess Fuxing. (Goddess of happiness).

"I'm not a fool, goddess Fuxing. If I were to release this sword,vthe whole realms will be destroyed including the mortal realm", the evil god said.

Fuxing summoned her sword. Her sword was as white as snow and had silver emblems. The writing on it read 'goddess of happiness'. "Fuxing, you'll never change. How many times will you try to kill someone you can't kil?" The evil god said as he's evil aura flowed towards her. As it made to engulf her, a sword flew above her head. The sword was red in colour with gold emblems. The writing on it read, 'goddess of love'. The sword emitted a red aura shielding the evil aura from the evil aura. The black aura which was the evil spirit was at the top while the red aura at the bottom covering it.

Are you going to be the toughest of the bad bunch?" the evil god commented. "Love has always been the toughest", goddess Yue Lao said. Fuxing held her sword firmly and so did Yue Lao. "Women always trying to prove tough". "Haven't you heard the saying in the mortal world that 'what a man can do, a woman can do better'?" Fuxing replied. Fuxing and Yue Lao crossed their swords together. "Today, we will eradicate you completely", Yue Lao said. "You can't. I control evil spirit". I trapped your evil spirit up there. You have no more to control". The evil god laughed, "you seem to forget something". "What?" Fuxing asked. "I am the evil spirit itself", the evil god said. And then it happened. He turned into the evil spirit in huge gusts.

Fuxing and Yue Lao looked at each other and nodded. They fused their swords together making it a single sword emitting a combined aura of pink trying to subdue the evil god. When it seemed like it wasn't working, they used all their energy and powers sacrificing their cultivation and life. They appeared to be fading away as red aura and white aura came out of them. Despite this, the evil god seemed to be on the winning side. As it felt like they were going to lose, a silver aura came in a huge gusts and partially swallowed the evil spirit. Fuxing and Yue Lao were concentrated on defeating the evil god so they didn't turn back to look at who it was. But, they knew who had silver aura. It was none other than Yang Asha, the goddess of beauty.

"Yang Asha, thank goodness you're here", Yue Lao said. The god of law, Shangti also joined in and successfully, they destroyed the evil god.

"We did it", Fuxing said. "Good always win", Yue Lao added.

Suddenly, Yang Asha slumped. They rushed to her and held her hand. "She"s dying", Shangti observed. "Can we save her?" Fuxing asked. "She used a great chunk of her soul . She can't make it", Shangti said. "But we can't just stand by and watch her die", Yue Lao said. "The goddess of souls sacrificed her life on the battlefield. There is nothing we can do". Yue Lao held her chest as she felt pain.

"Both of you also sacrificed your entire cultivation and I'm afraid you won't last long". "As long as everyone is okay, I have no regrets", Yue Lao said. Fuxing held her up and Yang Asha closed her eyes and died. She disappeared into million stars and was no more.

"I can't believe she's gone", Yue Lao said. "She'll be in the mortal world for reincarnation. She'll be back for sure", Shangti said. He turned to Fuxing and Yue Lao. "You've given up almost your entire cultivation. You need to be cultivated. Let's go to the palace. I'm sure we'll find someone to cultivate you. You have just few minutes left".

"There's no need. I'm fine. I didn't use up my entire cultivation. I can't let anyone sacrifice their cultivation for me", Yue Lao said.

"You have always been thoughtful and considerate. But now is not the time for that. We have to save your life and Fuxing's. Your power is also weak".

"Can we not talk about this now?" Fuxing said, "we have to make sure everyone is alright".

"The supreme goddess", Yue Lao gasped. They looked around and rushed towards where the goddess was. Her body was pale and white. Her red lips were now pale pink changing to white. Her eyes were shut and her white dress was red in her stomach region with the sword still plastered in her stomach.

"What should we do?" "I have no idea".

The goddess opened her eyes and flew up. "Pull out the sword. I can't bear the pain anymore", she pleaded. The two goddess and the god were feeling really sad and emotional.

"This is no time to cry", Fuxing said, "we have to think of what to do". "I can't bear saying the needful but that sword will have to stick there to save the entire realms", Yue Lao said. "Take it out. I don't want to live in this misery", the supreme goddess said. Yue Lao couldn't help shedding tears.

"We have to do this", Shangti encouraged.

In the presence of all and sundry, the remaining gods and goddesses used their energy and power to seal her but something went wrong and she disappeared.

Fuxing and Yue Lao didn't live long as expected. Not up to thirty minutes later, they passed on. All the heroes were mourned for tens of thousands years. They beauty, love, happiness, and light faded away during the mourning period but after that, everything returned back to normal.
