chapter 6: Ashamed of him?

" Here she is, rise your head high enough for her to see how unsightly you look right now!" Boomed Kodawa.

" Hey dear won't you greet your fallen warrior? are you ashamed of him? isn't he the same person who gave you the audacity to insult your prince, I Kodawa the future king and husband to be. " he voiced out his statement arrogantly.

Sheshije was so angared by what the prince had done to the poor lad whose intention was only to rescue her from the harassment by their damned crown prince on that day.

She couldn't restrain her emotions any more. "It seems I underestimated how your brainless head works, the crown prince and his many minions are humiliating a single man. Tssk such a coward troop of monkeys. if only you could have manned up. Then you could have taken him all by yourself! unless the crown prince is afraid of confronting a fellow man? "

There were loud gasps and different reactions from the crowd. No one had ever dared to address the prince the way she did.

He was so feared by both the elderly and the young that no one could have the guts to look at him in the eye. Yet on this particular day a person, a female, a young female had dared to so boldly insulted Kodawa.

Amidst all sorts of shocked faces and mummers, there was one person who was dearly pleased by the young ladies bravery. Spitting a mouthful of blood he looked at her and broadly smiled at her revealing his godly set of teeth which were stained by blood.

CLAP! CLAP! Kodawa's hands landed mercilessly on her face. The pain was so intense that her eyes failed to open up. A lowd growl erupted from the kneeling man. "Bastard! I swear you will pay for doing that to her way sooner than you think, if you dare to lay your filthy fingers on her again, trust me you I will give you the most painful death no soul had ever experienced across the land." Seghete voiced out gritting his teeth in anger.

***

Seghete's mother was strolling around the castle after having her late afternoon porridge.

She dicided to walk to the stables for the second time to check on the progress of the new stable man who had replaced the previous one who had died of old age a few days ago.

She furrowed her eye brows deeply when she noticed Nariawan was standing intact as if the horse had been there since the rays of the sun had shone across the land.

Reaching out for it's mane she focused her senses inorder to pick on the happenings which had led his son to send his horse back home without making an appearance for she knew whenever such an incident happened it meant no good had befallen her dear son.

She held the horse for sometime allowing the adrenaline rush in her to subside, she could only hope all was well with Seghete.

All she could pick was the image of her son smiling at his horse and sending it back then all went dark.

She tried to telepathically reach out to him but he seemed to have blocked out his mind for any possible interference to his wife hunting mission.
