Silver Memories

It was strange seeing who she assumed to be a monster defending her. Her mind went back. She remembered when her parents' caravan was attacked by a group of vampires. They killed her parents, but planned to turn her into one of them. She was so afraid. She cried out for help. She held tightly to her teddy bear before it was snatched away and ripped apart for the vampires' amusement.

And just before one of the vampires could do anything, a man actually came to save her. A knight in silver armor. He conjured beams of light that disintegrated the vampires. None of the vampires could touch him. And when one hit him, he stood there like it was nothing before flicking the vampire away like it was nothing. She couldn't see his face. He was completely covered in silver armor. A hero, she thought. A shining knight. A silver knight. The vampires were quickly defeated and all that was left was the afraid, little girl and the silver knight. She had so many tears. She tried to wake her parents who laid in their own blood. Just before the silver knight left, he went over to the little girl. She still couldn't see the man behind the armor. Afterwards, the silver knight conjured a silver horse out of thin air. It looked as though it had assembled itself with metal parts.

"Get up. I'll take you to the nearest town," the silver knight said coldly. He did care, but didn't show it off. Nonetheless, the little girl looked up to him as a hero.

The silver knight rode atop of his horse and gave the little girl his hand. To anybody else, it would have felt cold, but to her, it was the warmest thing she felt at the time. They rode the night back into town leaving behind her parents in the mud to be eaten by crows. He dropped her off at an orphanage and left her there without even saying a goodbye. She adored him.

She had hoped to meet him again one day. That day never came, but she soon learned about the Silver Order. Many of them worship this mysterious silver knight like a deity sent from the heavens in order to help people and enact vengeance upon unnatural monsters. And so, she joined the group to make sure that what happened to her parents never happened to anybody else. And to meet the silver knight once more to say "thank you". To this day, she still hasn't met him. However, if she did meet him, he would probably say something like "who are you?" or "please leave me alone, you crazy Silver Order cultist. I didn't ask for a fan club. Stop pestering me."
