Meeting the Gods

Hunter was nervous to say the least. He was going to meet his 'family'. He took all he needed. He dressed in brown hiking boots, jeans, a white T-shirt, with a plaid overshirt. He strapped a celestial bronze blade to his leg, and his divine bow, in its band form. 

Chiron took him to the Empire State Building, where they took an elevator to the 600th floor. There he met the sight of a city that rested on clouds, and mountains. Clad in gold, and white marble. Chiron let him to the throne room, where he saw many nervous gods, a woman who looked terrified, and at the center a very intrigued Zeus.

"Lord Zeus, may I introduce Hunter Storm" Chiron spoke

Zeus looked at me like he found me familiar, them he asked "Who is your godly parent boy?". From his tone I knew it was not a suggestion, but a godly decree. 

"If I answer, many will be affected" I spoke, not willing to throw my 'mother' under the bus if I didn't have to. 

Artemis looked like she was grateful, but slightly guilty. 

The rest of the gods were even more eager to hear the answer of my parentage. 

Thunder rumbled the sky and Zeus bellowed "THAT WAS NOT A SUGGESTION, I ORDER YOU TO ANSWER"

I could feel pressure all around me, I was frightened like many of the gods present, but stood my ground, knowing it would end badly for me if I refused.

"I am Hunter Storm, Grandson of Lord Zeus, Great grandson of Lady Aphrodite, Son of Lady Artemis, and the Hero Grimm" The gods were gobsmacked, they did not know hoe to respond, Zeus looked towards Artemis who looked scared of what Zeus would do, Aphrodite looked at me lovingly.

Zeus spoke "Artemis, Explain!" 

Artemis, though reluctant, told the gods about the curse placed upon her, the man she came across, his death, my birth, and my abandonment. Most looked scandalized, while some looked on enthralled in the drama. 

The gods then yelled at each other, on how to handle this

"ENOUGH" Zeus commanded

"Grandson, why have you not been claimed" he asked me

"I prayed to be claimed by my mother-" Artemis looked very guilty at this point, she was slumped in her chair "-but I received nothing but my bow. I decided to forsake Olympus, and live a quite life in the forest, where I have spent many years, until summoned." 

Apollo looked sad, he never got to know his nephew

Aphrodite looked happy that she had discovered her grandsons, child

Artemis looked like she wanted to speak privately

I decided to speak up, "Why have I been summoned, I no longer obey the will of Olympus" 

Many looked in shock at my declaration, some looked enraged, while Zeus seemed annoyed.

"My master bolt, has been stolen, during the search, we came across a gods' presence on earth, though this presence was not a known one, you are a god of Olympus, and as such will adhere to the laws" Zeus demanded

"I am but an Immortal, I am no god, I life a quite, and peaceful life in the forest, and do not wish to be brought into the squabbles of your family" I spoke through clenched teeth.

A few gods, got ready to attack me, but Artemis spoke up "I claim Hunter Storm as my son" she spoke, she looked at me with love and guilt in her eyes. perhaps she regrets abandoning me.

I replied with "I refuse"
