37 The fight

"A fight?" Medusa asked

"Yep, just no killing and maiming"

"Are you sure...?" she asked again "You are still young after all" she continued as Savion laugh "Haha...please don't underestimate me just because of age" he said before snapping his fingers. "Hmm, did you just set up a barrier? you really are serious aren't you" Medusa commented before she slowly stood up "Outside" she said before walking out.

...

"So you know magic as well, not surprising" Savion commented as he watched Medusa changed her clothes with magic. She then summoned her signature weapons, two daggers attached to long chains and it was clear to Savion that they weren't normal. 'I have no time to play around like I did with Ayame' he thought before summoning his own weapons.

"Intresting looking weapons, what do they do?" Medusa asked. "Well you're about to fine out." He said before firing his first shot. She immediately dodge by rolling to her side, he didn't let her off as he continued to fire shots after shots, making her run around and dodging them.

Using her speed and the momentum she built up running around she suddenly jumped and launched one of her chained daggers, straight towards his hands forcing Savion to dodge and let up his attacks, taking the opportunity, Medusa used the chains to pull herself forward towards Savion and delivering a nasty dropkick right at his chest sending him flying and crashing into the ground.

She knew this wasn't going to be enough so she immediately went for the attack again, diving straight towards him, only to be blasted away by a sudden torrent of highly pressured water, which immediately froze on her, pinning her down, she was immediately able to break the ice but was immediately hit with another torrent which was much larger than the first, almost like a tidal waves, sending her crashing her into the surrounding trees.

She was not given time to recover as Savion immediately fired shots after shots at her and she was on one knee and was forced to block the on coming assault with her daggers and chains, she wasn't able to block all as some attacks pass through, mostly her legs and thighs were hit.

As Savion was walking closer, still not letting up his attacks, Medusa's hair suddenly lauch itself towards him, forcing him to back off in surprised. Medusa then stood up, her wounds slowly healing, which wasn't surprising, what surprised him was her hair. On the end of a few of her locks of hair, four somewhat large snake heads could be seen, they were black with red markings on them.

"This just got a whole lot more difficult" Savion muttered before flaring his touki and senjutsu. He then immediately started firing a barrage senjutsu coated demonic energy, which was much more powerful then the normal ones and can cause internal damange as well, but unfortunately for him Medusa got even faster than before and she I'm lunge towards him, he was able to block the attack with his guns but she was absolutely relentless in her attacks, continuously attacking and striking him with not just her dagger but her legs and hairs as well. She was quick and agile enough to dodge most of his on coming attacks as well.

Her every movement was like a dance, every spin she makes, every kick, every swing of the chains and every thrust of the daggers were beautiful, elegant, precise and deadly. She was smart and quick enough to land multiple sneak attacks even at such close range.

Savion, even though he was on the defensive side couldn't help but be in awe at her fighting style. He was bleeding quite heavily from his arms and chest, but he knew it could have been much worse if not for his touki and Senjutsu boosting his defense and healing him respectively. He was able to gain enough space to channel a giant dome of water, trapping the gorgon inside, but it didn't work for long as she was able to escape using her chains.

Savion knew unless he get serious, there is absolutely no way he's going to beat her. He immediately decreased the surrounding temperature down to at least -100 degrees Celsius, as everything surrounding him slowly freezes, except him, since he could regulate his body temperature as much as he wants, to him the temperature felt perfect, the cold never bothered him.

Medusa was surprised, she absolutely hated the cold, she then use magic to try and regulate her body temperature, but unlike Savion it only worked to a certain degree. She knew she need to start moving or else her body would grow cold and she would be forced to tired out. So she immediately tried to start her attacks yet again.

She wasn't successful enough as thousands of water and ice spears started to form around Savion, and along with Bonnie and Clyde, Savion started his very own assault. Medusa was just barely able to form a magic shield before the barrage began to pummeled her. Dust began to rise as Savion continues his assult. After a few more seconds Savion ended his barrage of attacks.

Everything was silent for few tense seconds. Then the sound of chains rattling could be heard from within the dust clouds. As the dust cleared, Savion was in for another shock.

Medusa could be seen, down on one knees, crossing her arms in front of her face, bleeding hard, but her arms were now different. They were now covered in beautiful yellow scales, but it wasn't just her arms, but her legs and neck as well. With the scales covered in her blood it looked beautiful yet menacing.

"Why so serious?" She asked, her voice was also different, it was now a lot more deeper than before.

"I need to be if I'm going to have a chance at beating you" he replied.

"Ohaha...Oh honey, you never had a chance to begin with" She replied with a little laugh before suddenly dissapearing and reappearing right in front of Savion, kicking him right in the guts, sending him flying.

"Tch, if it wasn't so freezing cold, you would even have the chance to block" she commented, irritated at the cold which was making her body slow down.

'So she's cold blooded' It was at that point Savion knew he has no chance of winning unless he goes for moves that could very well kill her.

"I apologize if this kills you" he said before launching himself with all the remaining strength he has, completely catching her off guard. He was able to grab a hold of her arms.

"Freeze"

Medusa's core temperature immediately dropped, rapidly freezing her on the spot. "It's over" he huffed out, tired and exhausted.

"T-t-t-Think A-a-a-Again" she manage to say through her chattering teeths due to the cold as a blood red magic circle appeared underneath them. As soon as it appeared, the freezing immediately stopped and slowly started to revert, while Savion started to feel more and more tired as he started bleeding more and more profusely through his wounds.

"Y-y- you're using my own blood and demonic energy against me?" He said in shock and immediately letting go of her hand, flying up to try and create some distance, subsequently ending her spell.

The snake heads immediately opened their mouths and to the utter shock of Savion, fired some sort of pure red energy, immediately paralyzing him and causing him to crash down.

Fortunately it didn't last long as he was able to move immediately after a few seconds.

"Y-You surprised me, so strong for someone so young and being able to force me to use blood magic, a magic I haven't used in combat ever since my battle with Perseus." he heard Medusa's comment. She hate to admit it, but this devil was pushing her, it hurts her pride a little, that someone who hasn't been alive for even two decades is pushing her to the point of making her use blood magic.

"And you can shoot paralyzing projectiles as well?!" Savion asked, he was surprised and very impressed at the wide variety and uniqueness of Medusa's arsenal.

"You could say that, but to be precise they're like a more diluted version of my eyes. The more I hit a person with it, the longer they stay paralyzed. But the problem is that it won't work on people that wield a lot of power. It's the reason why it only lasted a few seconds with you. If I had used if earlier on, it wouldn't work at all, as you were full of energy at that time." she explained. "Let's finish this" she continued, melting the ice that was starting to form on her legs again, she wanted nothing but to get out of the cold. Savion didn't reply, but the air around him got even colder.

"Absolute Zero" was all Savion said before white cold mist suddenly burst out from him, completely enveloping his surroundings. Trees and boulders surrounding him started to crack and crumble.

As the mist was rapidly closing in on her, Medusa started to panic, she knew very well that this could kill her right on the spot.

"Blood Fort Andromeda" she chanted in a hurry. A giant blood red magic circle immediately appeared below them, then a crimson dome like barrier appeared, destroying and replacing the barrier that Savion made. Thus giving Medusa access to the lifestocks around her house and immediately draining their life force which Medusa started to absorb and subsequently keeping her alive. Savion was also getting drained from her spell but since he was a devil with a lot of demonic energy he was able to resist getting instantly drained and killed in the process, but he knew he wasn't going to be able to hold on for long, he was already tired and drained from before. But he also knew Medusa couldn't hold on for long with only him as her source. It was only a matter of time before either one fell.

Sadly for him, Medusa was just able to edge on, so with one last breath "You win" Savion manage to proclaim before fainting and falling flat on his back.

Luckly for him, Medusa immediately cancelled her spell as a few more second of exposure would have killed him.

...

A few minutes later, Medusa started to move, she didn't dare try to move until all the frost on her body melted, unless she wanted more injuries.

She gingerly went and picked him up and made her way inside her home.

<An hour later>

"Agh...my everything hurts" Savion murmured, as he slowly regain consciousness. He could see that most of his body was now covered in what looks like bandages.

"Ah...I see your finally awake." He heard Medusa's voice from behind him, he turned to see her sitting on a chair sipping tea, she was also covered in bandages.

"Where did you even get bandages?"

"Turned one of my dressed into one with magic" She answered and he nodded.

"So, what piece am I taking?" she suddenly asked, surprising Savion. "Wait, you still want to join me, even after I lost to you?!" he asked surprised and confused. She looked at him weirdly for a second before answering "Of course, I already said I would, Why?"

"OH I'm sorry, just surprised. But to answer your question..." he trailed off before summoning his queen piece.

"I was planning on using my Knight piece but after seeing and experiencing all the magic you just did as well as your durability and strength, I don't think anything other than the queen piece would suit you" He told her.

Medusa was actually flattered by what she just heard and a small smile bloomed on her face.

"I'll gladly be your queen" she told him.

Savion smiled, then started the process of reincarnating her.

Then something completely unexpected happened, the queen piece started to glow and mutate as Medusa was starting to absorb it and much like before, the piece started to changing its color from red to deep purple. It soon died down and the process was done.

...

"Oh my, I can actually feel the increase im power" Medusa commented after he was done.

"You're still hiding some of your powers aren't you" Savion suddenly said, it was a question but more like a statement.

"What makes you say that?"

"The piece wasn't supposed to do what it just did, it means that what you just show during our fight wasn't all you could do"

"*Sigh* You know that in in some legends I'm depicted as a woman that has the lower body of a snake right?" She asked and Savion nodded, having an idea where this was going. "Well, lets just say they were half true, I can transform myself into a half snake half woman like creature, a True Gorgon. It tremendously boosts all my strength and magic powers, with a little drawback of a decrease in speed and mobility, but not by much. Those golden scales and snake hairs that you saw during our fight were just partial transformation." she told him truthfully."

"*Sigh* Why am I even surprised, you have lived for many centuries, of COURSE you're strong!! Now I'm even more glad I could have you on my side" he said honestly.

She smiled at that before commenting "I honestly thought you'd get mad"

"Huh, for what?"

"Something like, not going all out and hurting your pride or for being underestimated or something along those line"

"Hahaha...that's just stupid, I won't say you were underestimating me, even if you were I really dont care, it just means I'm weaker, well for now at least." he replied. There was absolutely no way he's was going to stay weaker than his queen.

"As for hurting my pride, now that I think about it, I'm actually quite proud of myself, I know how much I pushed you." he smirked "I'm actually glad I lost" he said, surprising Medusa. "It just shows me that I shouldn't get too ahead of myself and be overconfident in my current strength" he continued.

"That's a good mindset" she complimented. "Want some tea?" she then asked.

"Sure I'll have one"

'Arthur is going to love this' he thought as he took a sip. "This is some good tea" he praised. "Anyway, can you just leave, do you have anything you want to take with you?" he asked.

"No" she shook her head "I can leave immediately"

"Then, we'll go right after I'm done with this amazing tea" Savion said. He then used the time to inform her about Sona, Serafall and most importantly for now, Hera and Aphrodite, since he didn't know what would happen if she suddenly saw them.

...

"Let's go" He said holding his hand out and Medusa took it without hesitation "Warm" he heard her whisper right before they teleported back to the place Savion was staying.

So, some of y'all might say that the MC is weak and shit like that for losing and some of you might also just be wondering why?....Well, let's just say, I find it absolutely stupid to make a Thirteen year old teenager win against a being that has been alive from many many centuries and has fought countless battle. The difference in experience between the two is just too much.
