38 Talk about Marriage.

We're currently in my room and I've just finished introducing Medusa to them. Shock and surprised were the main reactions that we got. Hera and Sona being the sensible ones were a bit weary at first, while Serafall and Aphrodite not so much, as they immediately started asking her questions and being all around very chatty with her. Even though Medusa tried to keep a stoic and cool front it was clear that they were honestly starting to overwhelm the poor woman, who probably hasn't had proper interactions in such a long time.

It was only after Hera and I intervene, that the two finally gave her some space with me recieving a nod of thanks from the Gorgon. We soon started a more normal conversation. She and I took turn telling the others how we meet and about our fight. Sona and Sera were very surprised by how strong Medusa was, while Aphrodite and Hera dosen't seem too surprised by it. They were rather shock and impressed that I was able to hold myself against her.

It feels great to be praised and getting my strength recognize by two literal goddesses and was a great confidence booster all well.

Then, Aphrodite and Hera started explaining and telling her all the important events that have taken place in the greek pantheon, while me, Sona and Sera told her all about the underworld, the devils and the Biblical factions in general. She clearly dosen't care too much about the Greek pantheon and was instead very much interested in the history of the underworld and the biblical factions in general. With Serafall being the great story teller that she is started enthusiastically telling her stories about the underworld starting from the civil war up until the current day. Even Aphrodite and Hera were listening in with rapt attention.

<A few hours later>

"Are you sure it's okay to leave Medusa with my sister?" Sona asked. "Why not she wanted some alchohol too" I just shrugged. We were currently still in my room, just that we're now alone together. Sera and the two goddess went out to drink alcohol again and Medusa was pulled out by Aphrodite who gave me a little wink. It was clear that she was trying to give Sona and I some alone time, much to my appreciation. It's not often you get the goddess of love as a wingwoman.

"I'm still a little mad at you"

"Huh why?"

"You said you were going out for souvenirs, yet you came back with Medusa of all people" she said narrowing her eyes at me.

"*sigh* And I'm sorry, how about we go out tomorrow just the two of us, have ourselves a little date?" "Sure" was all she said with a smile before snuggling up to me.

I owe a lot to Sera for inviting me and Sona, not just because I was able to get Medusa as my queen but because of all the alone time I got with Sona. I was able to further our relationship and got to see more of the vulnerable side of her, a side that she hardly showed, making me appreciate her even more.

"Savion?" she called out softly. "Yea, what is it?" I answered. "What are you going to do about Kuroka and Ayame?" she suddenly asked "I know you've noticed their clear infatuations, you're not dense enough to not noticed"

"*Sigh* Are you sure we should be having this conversation without Rias?" I asked "It's fine, you'll have the chance to talk with her soon, you're planning to go to Romania with her are you not"

"Yea we are, anyway going back to Kuroka and Ayame, yea I've known about their feelings, and as for what I'm going to do about it, I'll be completely honest and say that I wanted to return their feelings. It honestly isn't as one sided as it seems" I told her my honest feeling and desire, they truly have grown on me over the years.

"So why haven't you?" she asked. "you wanted to know about mine and Rias' opinions don't you?" she continued and I nodded. "That and the fact that I want to know if their feelings are real and not just out of gratitude, especially Kuroka"

She smiled right at me "There is absolutely no way they wouldn't fall for someone as good as you" She said making me smile and blush a little. "Also, thank you, I appreciate all your consideration and thoughtfulness, I really do" she said still smiling "But you shouldn't hold back just because of us, I'm sure Rias would tell you the same thing I'm telling you right now." she told me. "We know the moment you took in Kuroka even after she was free from her sentence and the day we met Ayame that we were never going to be the only one for you, and yes, I'm completely fine with that, I know Rias is as well but I won't answer for her" she continued.

I was stunned for a few seconds, taking in all that she just said, before suddenly leaning down and kissing her. "Thank you, you're simply amazing you know that" I told her and she just giggled, with my hand on her waist I brought her closer till she was practically clinging on to me and we soon fell asleep after that.

The next day, just as promise Sona and I went around the town we were staying, looking for souvenirs to take back home. Luckily for us since the town is basically a tourist hotspot there were a lot of items to choose and buy. I brought a Demitasse cup set for mom, a kombolol or a worry bead for Ayame, it's mainly used to relieve stress, keep hands busy and, generally, pass the time away. A bunch of mountain tea, which is said to be greeks most famous tea for Arthur, obviously. For Kuroka I bought her a bottle of Ouzo, which is the most popular and ubiquitous spirit to have in Greece as well as a ball of yarn.

I also bought a evil eye keychain for Rias. According to Greek belief, evil eye jewellery is set to protect from such things as envy of others and bad luck. As well as a bunch of hair products only found in Greece, cause I know how much she loved and took care of her long hair. Also bought a few for myself as my hair is starting to get pretty long and I ain't planning to cut it anytime soon. I also bought a fuck ton of sweets for Raynare, who I know has a sweet tooth. I have absolutely no idea what I want for Dad, so I just bought him alchohol. I also bought a bunch of beauty products and hair clips for our maids at home.

I had to use a bit of mind control to get me those alcohols but everything else went smoothly. Sona and I had our fun, she also bought quite a lot thought not as much as me. All in all a very great day.

The following night, Medusa manage to not get dragged out again and her, me and Sona had our chance to further get to know each other. We've learned quite a few things about her, like that fact that she was a bit of a neat freak and want things to be prim and proper, which didn't surprise me too much as I've seen how well she took care of her small house. I can already see her scolding Kuroka and getting into lots of arguments with her in the future considering how sloppy and lazy the the black cat could get. She would also get along quite well with Grayfia.

She's also not very up to date with the modern world and knows nothing about technology. It was fun seeing her so fascinated by a television and her getting flustered and fumbling with a remote control. It's quite odd how she still somehow manage to see through her blindfold, but I'm not questioning it.

And soon time passed and just like that our one week vacation was coming to an end.

"Really wish we could do this more often" Hera said as we were ready to go our separate ways. "I can already tell there's going to be trouble when back at Olympus with Zeus right at the center of it." She grumbled. After she accidentally spill her story during a drunken stupor, she has been more vocal and open about the stress and trouble her husband has cause which surprised me at the time as I didn't even know it was possible for gods and goddesses to get drunk.

Anyway, according to drunk Hera. One day Zeus suddenly forced himself on her, and out of shame and being the goddess of marriage she had no choice to become his wife. They were actually going good for a while, that is until Zeus decided to be even more of an asshole. Much like Aphrodite, her divinity was spat on by him when he commit numerous infidelity at every chance he gets. Due to her not being able to take her anger out on him due to the vows she gave during the failed rebellion, she was forced to take her anger and bitterness out on the women Zeus had slept with. But unlike some of the stories and legends, she only targets those that knew that it was Zeus and still slept with him as she knew they only did it out of greed and thirst for power and she left the innocent ones alone.

If it wasn't for the threat of losing her divinity, she would have left him a long time ago. For gods and goddesses losing their divinity is like a death sentence, unless they have enough human faith to rebuilt said divinity or any other divinity, they would slowly cease to exist and fade into nothingness.

"You know Lady Hera, couldn't you just, I don't know annul the marriage, you know get a divorce." I commented. "Wait! Wait, hear me out first" I continued just as she was about to speak. "I know that you think a divorce is the complete opposite of marriage and you're afraid that getting one would weaken your divinity and worst case scenario, you could lost it completely, am I correct?"

"You are, where are you going on with this?" she asked confusion laced in her voice.

"I just believe that you're going and thinking about it the wrong way. It is true that a divorce is the complete opposite of marriage but that doesn't mean they're not connected." I told them.

"Huh, what do you mean Savi?" This time it was Sera that asked.

"What I'm saying is that even though divorce is the complete opposite, it's still a part of marriage. Like, without marriage there wouldn't be divorce, so it should still be a part of marriage" I told her. "Meaning, Lady Hera has a chance, a huge chance in fact to not lose her divinity at all" I said ending my little speech.

Everyone's eyes slowly widens, with the implications of what I've just said slowly seeping into their heads.

"H-h-He's got a point" Aphrodite was the first to speak out. "I have never really thought about it that way, but now that I think about it, it makes sense" she continued.

"Are you sure you're just thirteen?" Medusa asked. "He's always been mentally older ever since he was little" Sera chimed in.

Meanwhile the subject of our talk Hera, was just sitting there on the bed, just stunned. "Are you okay, lady Hera. I didn't mean to give you more pressure and stress I wa--"

"No no, I'm fine just...just very surprised" she finally spoke up "Though you did give me a lot to think about." she continued, her smile reassuring me that it wasn't anything bad. "I believe it's time to take our leave." She said, then turned to Aphrodite who nodded.

After giving one last hugs to everyone, with Hera giving me an extra long one, which everyone collectively decided not to talk about, the two goddesses left.

Me and the three girls made our way back to the underworld soon after. Thus ending a fun and eventful week of vacation.
