Dom turned down a dirt road that led into the brush woods as I noticed a Ford line panel truck pull in behind us.

Seeing that it was two guys I knew that had been around me when I was growing up both are the President and VP of the L.A. charter both were old white guys that served with my father and John Teller in Vietnam.

Seeing Dom stopped a hundred feet ahead I did too, hoping out of the truck just as Leroy and Jenkins got out of the panel truck.

"Welcome home boy." Leroy hollered to me with a jovial smile on his face as he offered me his and which I shook and the man pulled me into a one armed hug before pushing me away and holding me away at arms length.

"You look good son, I'm glad you're finally out of that place…treating you like a caged animal." Leroy said happily before he spat out, while speaking the words about them treating me like a caged animal.

"Thanks Uncle Leo, you don't look too bad yourself for a man pushing sixty." I joked while shrugging his hand off while the old man slapped my shoulders.

"Hahaha, I'm only fifty two you little shit!" Leroy said to me with a laugh in his voice.

" What did you forget about me?" Jenkins finally chimed in and quickly pulled me into a one armed hug.

"Good to see you again kid, sorry we couldn't make it to your party…we were a little busy with the local wetbacks." He said while looking at Dom with disgust in his eyes.

'Asshole.' I thought to myself as I wasn't really all that racist so his wethack kinda bothered me, even though I used the terminology myself not too long ago.

"Nice to see you too uncle J." I replied to the man who pulled me into a one armed hug.

"This is my friend Dom. Dom this is Leroy Whitmore and this is Jenkins Smithson, they served with my father in Vietnam, they run the L.A. charter of the Son's." I introduced Dom to Leroy and Jenkins.

"I'm Dominic Torreto, I run the street racing scene here in L.A." Dom said while introducing himself and proffering his name which Leroy shook without a problem but Jenkins made a disgruntled face as he took his hand and shook it.

"The keys in the truck?" I asked the two who nodded to me in response and I went over and got into the van and turned it around backing up to the trailer as Dom opened the doors and guided me back.

Putting the panel truck in park, going through the causeway from the cab into the cargo area.

Dom joined me in the truck.

"You sure about these guy's?" Dom asked me quietly while helping me carry a crate of M4's.

"Jenkins is racist, but he's a member of the club…if he betrays me he betrays the club, he knows what happens." I told Dom who nodded to me as we continued to move the weapons and ammo into the panel truck.

"That's everything then…that we're sending with them." I said to Dom who nodded as we pulled down the door to the panel truck.

"Alright, uncle J, uncle Leo…truck all loaded up, Clay gave you guys a location right?" I asked the two men who nodded before Leo replied.

"Yup, we'll be taking it to Bluebird seed company…what about the other stuff on the truck?" Leo replied to me with a serious look on his face and a respectful tone like he was replying to his superior.

"Good, I'll catch up with you guys sometime soon…I gotta get these unloaded quick." I replied while pointing my thumb to the trailer.

They quickly left and Dom I stood off alone.

"Sorry, for making it sound like I was in charge." I apologized to Dom while awkwardly rubbing the back of my head.

"It's all good brother…I could use the help, keeping Vince, Letty, Leon and Jessie in line is sometimes an impossible job…not to mention Mia." Dom replied to me before offering his closed fist to me which I bumped.

"We need to sell these things now or torch the entire truck and chalk it up as a loss and take a break for awhile, federal agencies are going to stealthily start monitoring the shipping routes around here." I replied to Dom seriously while crossing my arms over my chest while looking him in the eyes seeing him warring between greed and common sense.

"Haa, I know someone who will take it off of our hands but we'll be taking a major loss compared to my other buyer." Dom replied to me and I put it at the back of my mind that Dom made me his second in command…kinda like he does with Brian.

"I'd rather lose money than take the risk of getting sent back…I'm not going back Dom even if I have to drop bodies and go on the run." I replied to Dom seriously who nodded to me and I could see that he agreed.

"What about Mia?" Dom finally asked while taking a burner out of his pocket.

"I don't know…it's both new and fresh…but there's a lot of history between us. I'd like for her to come with me if that was her choice…but I'd never make it for her." I replied to Dom who nodded while hitting the speed dial.

"Tran, it's Toretto…I've got a lot of merchandise you'd be interested in." Dom said into the phone and there was a pregnant pause as he waited for a response.

"What's the value of the haul?" I heard Tran ask Dom.

"One point two." Dom replied evenly.

"I'll give you five hundred…cash." Tran replied and I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Fine, bring the cash to the usual spot…" Dom replied and I could see him physically flinch at the loss of 300k.

I set my hand on his shoulder as he hung up the phone.

"It's the right call Dom." I comforted him with a pat on his shoulder.

"I know it is…but damn it's hard to lose that it barely covers our expenses with paying off dock officials, the cars, the mods…haa, come on let's get this thing unloaded." Dom replied to me and he walked off to his civic and I got back in the Rig following behind him as we drove to what could only be considered L.A.'s Chinatown.

"Hey, this Tran guy…connected to the Triad wannabes that stabbed you in Lompoc?" I asked Dom using the walkie while I grabbed the Beretta from the floor, pressing the mag release, finding the mag full, with a round already in the chamber, sliding the mag back in.

"He took over with my help once I got out…I should have told you but figured too many ears were on us." Dom replied to me over the walkie making me nod.

"Just don't do something stupid like fucking his sister…gooks, chinks and general squinty eyed mother fuckers are all wacky about that shit." I told Dom through the walkie making him chuckle in reply.
