Echoes from the Eternity

In the heart of an ancient forest, where the trees whispered secrets older than time itself, a lone figure stood amidst the shadows. He was known by many names, but in this place, he was simply called the Wanderer. Once, he had been a young man named Aiden, whose life had been marked by profound tragedy and betrayal at the hands of those he once called friends. Aiden's childhood was not one of warmth and comfort, but rather of loneliness and neglect. Born into a family of wealth and influence, he was the youngest of three brothers, yet he felt like an outsider in his own home. His parents, consumed by their own ambitions and desires, had little time for him, leaving him to fend for himself amidst the opulence of their estate. His only solace came in the form of his two childhood friends, Marcus and Caleb. They were more than just friends; they were his brothers in all but blood, bound together by bonds of loyalty and shared dreams. Together, they navigated the treacherous waters of their family's expectations, their bond stronger than steel. But as they grew older, the cracks began to show. Marcus, the eldest, was consumed by ambition, his thirst for power driving a wedge between him and his friends. Caleb, the middle brother, struggled to find his place in the world, overshadowed by Marcus's charisma and Aiden's innocence. Caught in the crossfire of his family's drama, Aiden found himself torn between loyalty to his friends and the desire to forge his own path. He watched in silence as Marcus's thirst for power grew ever more insatiable, his once noble heart twisted by envy and greed. And then came the ultimate betrayal. In a bid to solidify his power, Marcus orchestrated a series of events that would forever shatter the bonds of friendship. He framed Aiden for a crime he did not commit, turning Caleb against him and tearing their friendship apart in the process. As Aiden stood trial for a crime he did not commit, he watched helplessly as his friends abandoned him. Marcus, his closest friend, turned his back on him, choosing to believe lies over the bond they had shared since childhood. Caleb, torn between loyalty to his brother and his friendship with Aiden, ultimately chose to side with Marcus, betraying Aiden in the cruelest of ways. In the end, it was not just his family that betrayed him, but his friends as well. Marcus and Caleb, the brothers he had loved like his own flesh and blood, had become his greatest enemies, willing to sacrifice everything he held dear in pursuit of their own selfish ambitions. And so, it was at the hands of those he had once called friends that Aiden met his untimely end, betrayed and forsaken in the very place he had once called home. But even in death, his spirit refused to be extinguished, and as the Wanderer, he roamed the realms of existence, seeking redemption for the sins of his past and vengeance for the betrayal that had cost him everything

A Blade to Kill

-Red, Red, Red. So dangerous, so scary, so.. so beautiful. His vision was filled with red. Everything was covered in the beautiful color of crimson red. Lines and dots. They exist everywhere. To that tall tree beside him, and the birds on it. They were covered in red. -So gorgeous. All things that "exist" have an ending. Be it through death or the complete erasure of their being- everything has an end. -Red. He understood. These lines... these dots that were so painful yet so awe-inspiring to look at. They represent 'Death'. They were things that represented the concept of 'Death' which an existence embodies. -So wonderful. 'Seeing' something that represents death is not normal. Nor does finding it beautiful. Normal people would be scared. But then again, he became something far from normal once he died and saw these and finding them comforting rather than dangerous. "Ah... I wonder what I will see once I look through people-" -Would it feel wonderful to kill them? -What would I feel as I trace my nife against the neck of an enemy? "But first, I need a handle in this new body of mine." -x-X-x- Just to warn the folks that will not read the tags, the protagonist is gender-bent into the female form. And no, she won't be getting into a relationship - the romantic kind - with any male. Maybe girls, since she was once a man and I, will be taking bits and pieces of myself to create her character. Updates will be sporadic since I haven't even created a plan for the story.

Until she came, the personification of his darkest nightmare. “I thought you didn't like me?” she uttered in silence. He could clearly see in that dimly lit room how her lips curved up. “I don’t,” he replied coldly. “Then why,” she stepped forward. “could you not help to leave when you saw me in the King’s arms?” He fell silent, throwing her a lethal look. “And I’m sure you know what he did is nothing compared to what he can do on our wedding night. Imagine him doing all those things to me—” And he snapped. Towering over her like a predator cornering his prey, he pinned her on the wall at the darkest corner of that room. “You,” he uttered silently as he breathed against her lips. “don’t provoke a creature from hell, Rose.” *** A woman living in her nightmares. Planetary Defense Corps

In the year 2700, Earth is viciously invaded and attacked by an unknown force. Humanity—having long since become a spacefaring society—were equipped with the needed advanced weaponry, starships and high-tech planetary defenses. The catch was, we were only slightly more advanced technologically and had won the war with extreme causality to ourselves; Earth’s population was brought to the brink of annihilation. In the aftermath, most of Earth’s militaries, technology, industrial complexes, facilities, advanced heavy weaponry, war planes and battlecruisers were destroyed. Earth had practically gone dark and to its dismay, pockets of abandoned enemy forces still dominated sectors of the planet and continued as an active threat. Commanding Officers of fragmented armies and battalions around the globe quickly initiated the Planetary Defense Corps program—a contingency plan that utilizes a blend of all available military personnel and a mandatory civilian-based infantry who are then immediately trained in ground assault and guerrilla warfare tactics as Earth’s only formidable answer to all remaining enemy forces. The PDC’s objectives were simple: 1. To locate and eliminate all remaining enemy forces by any means necessary 2. To continuously and aggressively expand in number by mandatory recruitment of all able-bodied men and women to be trained and prepared to fight. Lt. Astro Dean Llewellyn, a once helpless civilian now 3-year battle worn PDC marine, leads his own infantry platoon through known and unknown hostile sectors in attempt to carry out the PDC’s objectives. What he discovers changes the fate of Humanity forever.
