A Date With Jie’er Part Two

The carriage pulled up to a small man-made pond that was lit up with Chinese lanterns. It had a small dock where a boat was waiting. In the middle of the pond was a small man-made island. The island had a pavilion on it that was brightly lit. Wu Shuyu could already see people standing under the pavilion. Wu Shuyu's eyes turned red from seeing all this. She hugged Feng Jie as she asked: "Did you do all this?"

Feng Jie smiled as he embraced Wu Shuyu. "Un! This King wanted our first official date to be special. Something that many years down the road, Yu'er would remember and look back on this day as a fawn memory. A way for this King to show Yu'er that although we started out of nowhere that this King is serious about us. What does Yu'er think? Does Yu'er like?"

"Un! Un! I like!" Wu Shuyu had tears rolling down her cheek as she said this.

This was the most romantic thing anyone had ever done for her in this life and even in her past life, she had never had someone do something this romantic for her. She could tell that Feng Jie had put a lot of work into tonight's dinner. In her past life, she had read many wuxia type novels where the male lead was always cold and detached never fully showing how they felt for the female lead. Wu Shuyu did not want to be that kind of female lead. She would act like always and show the same love back to Feng Jie as he showed her. She did not need to act arrogant in front of others since she was already arrogant in the first place! She had originally planned to hold on to a big thick thigh so what was wrong with falling in love with that big thick thigh?

Feng Jie helped Wu Shuyu on to the boat before getting on himself and sitting next to her. Of course, not lagging behind Qin Ming and Mu Sha also followed along. But they took a separate boat which Mu Sha personally rowed himself. It only took five minutes to get from shore to the small island where Feng Jie then helped Wu Shuyu out of the boat. By this time Wu Shuyu was all smiles as she walked up to the pavilion holding Feng Jie's hand.

The pathway to the pavilion was lit up on both sides with a special type of glowing rock that floated in the air. With the plum blossom leaves falling from the trees, it really made for a magical sight. As they walked towards the pavilion Wu Shuyu rested her head on Feng Jie's arm while intertwining her arm with his.

Wu Shuyu could already tell this would be a moment she would remember for the rest of her life. Such a scene was already engraved in her mind. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Feng Jie led Wu Shuyu to the only table under the pavilion. It was then that Wu Shuyu realized that the people who were here were all cooks and maids. They had set up an open-air stove to cook all the food right on the spot. For Wu Shuyu this was exciting because it was not every day you got to see cooks do their job while making such delicious food.

Feng Jie and Wu Shuyu ordered their meals and waited for it to be all cooked. "Yu'er in two days there will be a banquet to announce our engagement. Father Emperor also wants to meet you as well."

Wu Shuyu who was sipping on tea spat out the mouthful she had just taken in. "*Cough* *Cough* In two days? Is that not a little too soon? "

Feng Jie's lips curled up, he could only give a prayer for his Father Emperor letting a little fox-like her into the palace. If he's not careful the little fox will walk out with the royal seal. He could already imagine the look on the faces of those attending when they realized that they had just been swindled out of everything they had on them.

"Oh, Yu'er, I heard a strange rumor on my way to pick you up today. Is it true that General Wu was fucked in the ass and mouth by multiple men in red outside your palace gates?" Feng Jie asked.

Once again Wu Shuyu ended up spitting out a mouthful of tea but this time was because of her not being able to hold in her laughter. "Haha… No, it was something I made up after I kicked him while he was not paying attention and his guard was down. He fell headfirst into my palace gates which in turn I claimed innocent and blamed it on a man in red."

"Does not matter if you made it up or not since the people of Cloud Country believe it to be true then it is true. All that matters is what the masses believe, but because of this, you will see a good show tomorrow. I will accompany you when it happens since I want to see General Wu's face for myself." Feng Jie said.

"Then we will watch the show together! Oh! Foods here! Good! I'm starving!" Wu Shuyu rubbed her hands together as plates full of food were placed in front of her. She had hardly eaten all day so this was her first good meal of the day.
