1 Chapter One

Love like you haven't been hurt before... Or so they say.

[Nina]

"Nina, you need to leave tonight for the annual ball!" Ameralda let out a joyous laugh, I liked it when she laughed, it was rare for her and her laughter sounded like a beautiful melody. Ameralda didn't laugh much anymore, I recall her laughing when her husband was alive, but after he pasted away she slipped into a depression like state where she found it hard to be joyful.

"I'll give it a go, Mom, but don't expect me to socialize. I don't want this..." As I motion to my body, I glared at her. "To belong to anyone else, but me, myself and I."

Ameralda nodded as I walked off. Ameralda wasn't my real mother and we both knew that. It's not like I wanted to go, I clip my corset together over my black waist high skirt that went to just above my knees and pulled my sapphire blue top on. The top is one of those ones you sit the sleeves on the middle of your upper arm, I placed black and blue roses around my bun, my hair is light brunette.

"Nina!"

"I'm coming, Lady!" I grabbed my light blue flats and rush to the front door, only to see my guard standing there.

"King Izacc sent me, Lady Darke, we must leave." His voice wasn't gentle, it was deep and sent chills down my spine in fear, but it wasn't one you'd forget easily and I knew what was next, the question is asked. "Do you want to be blind-folded or sedated?"

"Sedated."

"I'm Lady Nina Darke, a child of the Zaffiro Moon coven." I state to the announcer as I slid my blue and Black mask on and walked into the ball room. Everyone was young like me, accept the Royal family, and it looks like they wanted to win the Prince over. Most of the girls wore red, because our weekly magazine said that was what he liked and I didn't want to follow the crowd.

"Lady Nina Darke, a child of the Zaffiro Moon coven. Our King reqires your presence." The announcer imformed me as people glared at me when two of the King's bodyguards grab my arms and I knew I wasn't going to get out of this meeting, so I let it happen and the guards lead me to the King's throne. I knelt infront of King Izacc, hiding my face from his view hoping that he wasn't my mate and that I still have a chance to walk away from this night.

"Look at me, my little lady, I need to see your eyes!" I can feel my trembling as he knelt down beside me, he growls when he notices that my body is trembling and kissed my neck as if that will soothe my fears. My head snapped up and I pull back as I throw a glared at him, but it was too late when I realise that was exactly what he assumed would happen. "This young lady is now my Queen, my mate and Queen of vampires."

"I, Nina Dawn, reject you, Izacc Greyson, as-" I Whispered in his ear, but I felt arms embrace my waist and felt someone nibble my ear.

"Nobody rejects the King!" Izacc hisses into my ear in such a way that shakes my right to my core, his lips were against skin in the next instance with his teeth grazing at my shoulder, making my shiver in despair. "I don't care If you don't want me, you shall join me. Dead or alive, either way, you will be mine, my little lady!" I bit his hand and slammed the heal of my right foot into one of his feet.

He released me in utter surprise and shock, while he's distracted I chose to ran into the group and pulled the last one I can see to the stairwell, it was just my lucky day! she looked almost the same as me.

"I want you to pose as me, I'm the King's mate, and run until they catch you!" She smiled and ran after we switch clothes. I ran as well in the opposite direction, but freeze when I heard a stick snap and leaves shake. Izacc emerged from the trees in all his naked glory and I blush as I actually enjoying the view.

"STAY THERE, MATE!" His demon demands his voice booming as he makes his way over to me and I begin to back away, once again my body is quaking in absolute fear. I saw other males walk towards us and I know Izacc is going to want to protect me from these new males. "Did you really think a stupid trick would work on me?! I'M THE KING OF ALL VAMPIRES AND YOU ARE MINE!!!" I could tell his demon was taking over and was really dissatisfied with me running away for his keeper...

"Calm down, Izacc, I need you to calm down before I will come over there and kiss you!" I thought his demon would back down at the mention of a kiss, but this only excited him more. I watched as his demeanor suddenly changed from dead seriousness to purely excited in a matter of seconds.

"But if you hurt, avoid or leave me, we go at my pace, Nina!" He kisses me after grabbing my arm and pulled me into his waiting arms, it's not like I didn't enjoy the kiss, but he startled me so I pull away. "My mate. My sweet little lady..."

He pushes me to the ground and growled at the men that surround us now, they looked worried about something when I laugh and grasped Izacc's shoulder. His embrace was alittle unexpected, so at first I didn't reacted straight away and his lips were curling back to growl at my slow reaction, but I kiss his chest and snuggled into him. "Stay away from other males who aren't family, Nina, and we will not have any issue, but if you don't well..."

Izacc nipped my right ear causing me to step away from him and growl lowly when he reaches for me. Izacc's men handed something to him, he grabbed my left wrist and placed some thing to my skin causing me to scream in most absolute pure agony when the iron made contact directly to my skin. "What's happening, Nina? It not silver, it iron!"

"I'm a Fey, I'm Princess Nina Dawn of the Fey!" I scream as he looks confused and afraid.

"Why were you with a vampire coven if you are a Fey Princess? What good would you gain from them?" Izacc threw the handcuffs away and stepped closer to me to inspect my wrist.

I watch as my real mother, Azury, walk in upon this little moment. "Mother, I thought I was a waste of your valued time, unless I'm stealing a child back, right?" I can't stop how I truely felt coming out and saying what was running though my mind, don't get me wrong. I love Azury and the woman that raised me equally, but I wanted to be in my element.

"I came to collect the future Queen of our Fey. The heir has chosen you, Nina, and he will rage war if you aren't by his side in two days." Azury whispers as she hugs me knowing what I would do. If I didn't leave to serve my future King he would kill this pack, my mate along with it and I couldn't run the risk of that happening to my loved ones.

"I need to go home with my mother, Izacc, I don't know how long, but I'll be back as soon as possible." I turn towards Azury and we walk into a Fey pathway, leaving everyone behind as we go to the Autumn court and we both knew I was in a dress suitable for court so we didn't have to stop. I was wondering if the stars were still as beautiful as I remembered above the castles walls, they were splendor and I use to love watch them every time I was there. 

[Alexander]

 Nina was perfect as she was seven years ago, word had reached me saying a vampire had tried to take her and her mother had saved my sweet Nina and they were coming here. I was so overwhelmed that she was going to be here in a small amount of time, but I had to have a heir because I was running out of time. "Princess Nina has entered the courtyard, my king, do you wish to see her?"

The fear was washing off the servant boy in waves, you could practically taste it in the air. It was nice to know who would never betray me because of their own fear of what I might do to them.

"Bring her here alive and unharmed, take guards with you, I swear if she disappears, you will pay the price!" Nina may be only a child in Fey years, but so was I. I can't wait to see her emerald green eyes, she'd be my Queen and I her King. I must not dally because that wastes time, time that I just don't have.

"Hey, Jason!! I just thought of a poem just for you and only for you!" She sounds like she hasn't changed on bit since we were small children, which is good. I love my Nina the way she was all those years ago, a fiery young Lady with the guts to yell at the next in line for the throne, I was wondering what had come over Lady Azury's daughter to show such courage in only our first meeting. "Roses are Red, Violets are blue, The Godess made me pretty! What kind of troll are you?"

I watched in amusement as Jason grabbed her roughly with one other guard after she tried to run and dragged her up to the throne, she saw me and tried to get away from the men.

"Alexander, make your men let me go!" Nina yelled at me before she slams her left foot down on the Jason's foot and slaps the other guard, I watch in amusement as she ran to me and hid behind me for protection which I gladly gave to my sweet little Queen.

"You are dismissed!" I turn towards Nina and hugged her, her scent had turned into that of a cherry blossom. "Nina, you have become more exquisite since we last met, I am truly glad you are my Queen and I will kill anyone who tries to separate you from me."

"Why are you doing this? Why me? You could have anyone you want, so why me?" Nina decides she wanted answers and pulled away from me. "You are the only noble lady I fancy and, so our law demands that I marry you, because I am in love with you." I kissed Nina's neck while thinking how niéve she is to the world of the Fey and I want to kiss her lips, to make mine completely, but I need to be patiant and I know she will be mine in time.

[Nina]

 I felt conflicted: I have feelings for Alexander and Izacc, but I feel more comfortable around Alexander and it was likely because we are the same type of supernatural: Autumn Fey.
