Someone To You: Part Two: Better Times

"Hey mom. I'm sorry for jumping out of the car. If I would've stayed in the car and heard your side of the story, this never would've happened." I waited for a response, knowing it was not coming.

I was talking to my mother's grave. During these past few months I've gone through a whirlwind of emotions, but after my second time at the mental hospital I've learned how to positively cope when feeling my everyday pain, I've also talked to my therapist and counselor and they both said I was making improvement with my mental mindset. While standing there over my mother's grave my phone began to buzz, to my utter delight it was Maddie.

"Hey!" I said happily.

"Hi Georgia, I know you are going through alot so I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my house and watch movies and make cookies." Maddie explained.

"Sure." I responded.

"Sweet, see you soon." Maddie exclaimed.

"See ya, I'll be over in 30 minutes." I stated as I hung up and headed to my car.

Before going to Maddie's I stopped at the gas station and got Maddie some Roses, which were her favorite flowers.

"Hey I'm here.".

I excitedly waited, when Maddie finally opened the door I was awestruck, it was insane how beautiful she was, I felt so lucky.

"I got you some flowers." I said as I gave Maddie her bouquet of flowers.

"Aww thanks Georgia!" Maddie squealed as she gave me a hug.

"No problem." I responded.

Maddie smiled and grabbed my hand and led me inside and into her room, I felt so loved when I saw that on the floor Maddie had made us dinosaur nuggets. Together we sat on the blanket she spread out eating dinosaur nuggets and watching musicals.

"Mads can I tell you something?" I asked.

"Of course." Maddie responded.

"Thanks for being so loving, without you I don't think I would be here right now." I said as my eyes filled with tears.

"Of course Georgia, I will always be here." Maddie replied as she kissed my forehead and squeezed my hand.

I let out a small happy giggle and kissed her cheek. In response Maddie began to tickle me, which led to an all out tickle war, in a matter of 10 minutes we were rolling on the floor laughing.

"Georgia I got you something by the way." Maddie said.

"You didn't have to do that." I responded.

"Oh shush, here." Maddie said.

I was shocked when I opened my gift it was a beautiful necklace with a G on it and $200.

"Thank you so much Maddie, I love it!" I said happily.

"You are very welcome, I also talked to my mother and she said it was okay if you moved in, we could clear out my fathers bedroom since he left or you could always sleep in here with me." Maddie stated.

At that sentence I erupted into happy tears, I've found a loving and safe home, I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

"Oh one more thing, we are going to go shopping." Maddie said.

"Oh my god! Thank you so so much Mads." I cried.

"You welcome G." Maddie giggled.

I headed to the bathroom and put on my necklace and then me and Maddie snuggled for a while. I ended up falling asleep holding Maddie's hand.

"Georgia it's 4:30, wanna go shopping and get some dinner?" Maddie kindly asked.

"Sure, do you want me to drive?" I asked.

"No it's okay the only thing I want you to do is to sit there so I can see your beautiful face." Maddie flirted.

"Oh shush." I responded, trying to hide the fact that I was blushing. Maddie grabbed my hand as she drove off, resting our folded hands on my thigh.

"G where do you wanna go for dinner?" Maddie asked.

"I don't care, you choose." I replied.

"I'll surprise you." Maddie stated. 30 minutes later we pulled into the parking lot of Dave and Busters.

"I'm paying by the way." I explained.

"Um, you aren't paying for anything today." Maddie snapped.

"Mads please let me pay." I begged.

"Georgia no." Maddie stated calmly.

"Okay, Miss. Bossy Pants" I replied. Maddie looked at me and burst into laughter, I instantly joined making sure to laugh quietly so I could hear Maddie's little giggle. Dinner ended up being amazing. We had Chicken and fries and then played some games. Maddie got 10,000 tickets and ended up buying me a giant stuffed dog. We loaded up my stuffed dog into her car and headed to the mall.

"Where do you wanna go first?" Maddie asked.

"Old Navy and then JcPenney." I responded.

"Okay." Maddie responded as she grabbed my hand.

The second we entered Old Navy I saw this beautiful blue polka dot dress.

"Mads I'm going to try on that beautiful blue dress." I explained.

"Alright." Maddie said as she grabbed the dress for me. Once we got to the dressing room I grabbed the dress and tried it on.

"Mads how do I look?" I asked.

"Oh my gosh! Georgia you look beautiful, give me a spin." Maddie replied.

My cheeks get bright red as I spun around.

"You look incredible, how much is the dress?" Maddie asked.

"It's on sale, only $10." I replied happily.

"Wow!" Maddie responded.

I happily headed back into the changing room and changed back into my sweater, I then stuck the dress into the cart.

Maddie gave me a small smile, and I gave her one back. We each picked 5 outfits for each other and then tried them on. I was mesmerized by how beautiful she looked in her outfits, and I felt so loved every time I received her compliments, she made me feel like a queen and I loved it. We laughed as we strutted down the aisles showing off our outfits. We did that for two hours, by the time we were done we had 10 outfits each.

"Maddie we should get matching bracelets." I said.

"That's a great idea G." Maddie responded.

We each picked out a blue beaded bracelet and headed off to pay. To my surprise it ended up being $85.

"Georgia is that you?" I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around and saw Cassidy.

"Mads that's the girl I was telling you about, that's the one who betrayed me." I whispered.

Before I could do anything Maddie released my hand and headed towards Cassidy.

"Listen here you little shit, if you ever hurt Georgia like that again you will be sorry. You know how much Heather hurt her, but no you thought it would be a good idea to betray your own best friend and date the person who hurt her the most, Where is that bitch anyways?!" Maddie yelled.

"Mads calm down." I said firmly.

"What's going on? Why is my girlfriend crying?!" Heather yelled as she ran to Cassidy's side.

"Your girlfriend is crying because she received the cold hard truth, how could you do that to Georgia, you know how she felt about you leading her on, why would you cause her more pain and date her best friend?" Maddie questioned.

"Actually it's my former best friend, I don't want that toxic piece of shit in my life anymore." I stated.

"Georgia please don't." Cassidy said sadly.

"Don't frickin talk to her." Maddie snapped.

"Go off i guess." I said to myself.

"Fine, let's go Heather, we don't hang around snakes." Cassidy snapped.

"Mads no." I warned as Maddie began to clench her fists.

"G they deserve it." Maddie pleaded.

"Fine, go ahead." I sighed with a small smile.

Maddie pulled her hair into a ponytail and headed over to Cassidy and Heather. I watched Maddie ram her fist straight into Cassidy's eye, it was one of the most attractive things I have ever seen.

"G run." Maddie warned as she grabbed my hand and pulled me away from a crying Cassidy and a worried Heather. I quickly understood as I saw mall security turn the corner and Heather point at Maddie. Maddie and I ran out of the mall holding hands and laughing.

"That was incredible Mads!" I laughed.

"You haven't seen nothing yet." Maddie responded with a wink.

"Should I be scared?" I asked.

"Only if you want to be." Maddie replied.

"Okay top." I joked.

"How do you know?" Maddie asked.

"It's obvious." I responded.

Maddie rolled her eyes and led me to the car. The whole way home we jammed out to Disney music. It was the greatest night of my life.

Once we got home we both instantly fell asleep on her bed.

"Hey G, it's 10:30 in the morning I made us pancakes." Maddie said happily.

I yawned and headed into the kitchen and made myself a plate.

"This is delicious." I complimented her.

"Thanks." Maddie said.

"What's the plan for the day girls?" Maddie's mother asked.

"I don't know, do you have anything going on G?" Maddie asked.

"No." I responded.

"Alright, do you wanna do something fun?" Maddie asked.

"Of course I do." I replied.

"Alright what do you wanna do?" Maddie asked.

"I don't care." I said quietly.

"What's wrong?" Maddie asked.

"I miss my mom…" I said as I burst into tears.

Maddie pulled me into her arms and rubbed circles on my back.

"I understand but just know she isn't in pain anymore." Maddie comforted.

"I know, but her death is all my fault we were fighting because she wouldn't support me, she then hit me and I leaped out of the car and then she swerved and then she cr-crashed, I'm so stupid Mads." I sobbed.

"You aren't stupid and her death isn't her fault, you were just scared and wanted out of the car, I would've done the same thing." Maddie soothed.

"You're just saying that." I said sadly.

"G let's go outside and talk." Maddie said. as she grabbed my hand and pulled me outside.

Once we were outside Maddie looked me in the eyes and held my hand. We talked for an hour, I ranted and she just listened, it honestly helped me out so much.

"Thanks for being here." I said kindly.

"You welcome G." Maddie responded.

"G I will always be here." Maddie added.

I smiled and wiped my tears, it's crazy how quickly I felt better

when I was with Maddie.

"Maddie come here now!" Maddie's mother yelled from inside.

Maddie grabbed my hand and led me back inside with her.

"What's up?" Maddie asked.

"I got a call from the mall you and Georgia went too, did you really get in a fight?" Maddie's mother asked.

"Before you get mad they deserved it and started the fight by hurting Georgia." Maddie explained.

"Alright then, I'm going to head to the store" Maddie's mother said as she walked off.

"K" Maddie responded.

"Georgia, I want you to go pack a small bag, I'm taking you to a surprise location." Maddie added.

I nodded and put my phone, money and some gum into one of Maddie's small bags that she gave me, I then followed Maddie into her car.

"Here put this on." Maddie told me as she handed me a blindfold.

I put the blindfold on and listened to Maddie's beautiful singing the whole way to the secret destination.

"You can look now G. "Maddie said happily.

I removed the blindfold and was so excited when I saw that Maddie had taken me to a beautiful spot in the woods where you could see the whole city on one side and a beautiful lake on the other side.

"Oh Maddie it's beautiful." I squealed.

"I know right!" Maddie replied as she lied out a blanket and got some snacks and water out. Maddie then lied on the blanket and motioned for me to lay down too, I nodded and lied down super close to Maddie. In response Maddie grabbed my hand and rolled over so I could lay 0n her stomach. We snuggled like that for two hours.

"Mads I love you." I said quietly.

"I love you too G." Maddie smiled.

I let out a yawn and grabbed some food out of the bag, I watched Maddie look at me with a huge smile as she did the same thing. We were in the middle of eating when it started raining, I grabbed Maddie's hand and danced with her in the rain, it was awesome we were both laughing so hard. We spent the rest of the day snuggling, exploring the woods and skipping stones by the lake.

"Hey G come here!" Maddie yelled.

I ran to the lake where Maddie was pointing to something in the water, being the gullible person I was, I headed to the end of the dock and looked into the water, Maddie snuck up behind me and removed my bag and shoved me into the water. Before I fell in I grabbed Maddie's hand and took her in the water with me.

"You brat, you're lucky I put the bag on the dock." Maddie laughed as she splashed me.

I let out a small giggle and splashed her back.

"Mads did you bring us a change of clothes?" I asked.

"Shoot." Maddie said.

"I'm guessing that's a no." I laughed.

"Yep sorry G" Maddie responded.

"It's okay." I said.

"G your phone is going off!" Maddie stated as she exited the lake and grabbed my bag for me.

"Who is it?" I asked as I headed towards the phone.

"It's Cassidy." Maddie replied.

"You can answer if you want, I have nothing I wanna say to her." I said madly.

"How about we call her mother." Maddie evilly said.

I let out a smile and grabbed my phone, declined Cassidy's call and then called her mother.

"It's on speaker." I whispered.

"Hello Georgia.." Cassidy's mother said.

"Hi I'm Georgia's best friend, your daughter hurt Georgia in a huge way, she is dating her enemy and called us snakes." Maddie said madly.

Maddie and I burst into laughter as we listened to Cassidy's mother erupt into angry screams and Cassidy complained in the background.

"Bye." I said as I hung up and high fived Maddie.

"Thanks." I said happily as I hugged Maddie. Maddie smiled and began to kiss my forehead.

"We probably should head home, it's getting late." I said.

"You're right." Maddie replied. We headed back to our lake spot and began to pack our stuff up. The way home I ended up falling asleep with my head resting on Maddie's thigh. While heading home I ended up having the worst nightmare I ever had, everything that has ever happened to me came flooding back in one dream. I woke up sobbing and screaming.

"Shh, G it's just a bad dream, it's okay I'm here shh." Maddie soothed.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"You're in my bed, I carried you inside after you fell asleep." Maddie explained.

"Thank you…" Maddie looked me deeply in my eyes, and I got chills down my spine. I felt my hands move up towards her symmetrical, perfect face. Her eyes moved slowly down to look at my lips. I licked them, hoping she would lean forward and place her lips on mine. As if I had somehow manifested it, she carefully kissed me, but quickly pulled away.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have moved that fast… I'm so sorry." Maddie turned red.

"No, no, no… Don't stop…" I pulled her face towards mine and kissed her passionately. She kissed back just as passionately, slowly turning me over to lay on top of her delicate body. Her fingertips traced down my spine, sending a wave of goosebumps down my arms and legs. I loved the feeling of her hands on me, I craved her presence. I bit her bottom lip, earning a muffled gasp of combined surprise and pleasure. Maddie's hands trailed down my back and stopped when she reached the top of my waist, as if asking for my permission to go lower. I didn't say anything.

I wanted her hands on me. It was exhilarating to be doing something so wrong that feels so right. Her hands rested on top of my lower half, and when I bit her lip again, she grabbed at me. A soft gasp escaped from my lips, and she smiled. Maddie flipped me over once again, gazing down at me with hungry eyes. She placed her soft lips on my neck, kissing it gently. I gripped her back in a rush of excitement, and she whispered quietly in my ear.

"My mom is coming." She got off of me and licked her lips.

"Hey I heard some loud noises coming from up here, did you drop something." Maddie's mother asked as she opened the bedroom door.

"Yeah, Maddie farted so I rolled off the bed." I lied.

"Okay.." Maddie's mother said as she left.

"You are such a bad liar." Maddie laughed.

I laughed along with Maddie and snuggled close to her, we were both out in seconds.

"G wake up!" Maddie yelled.

"Mads it's 6 in the morning, I'm not getting up." I complained.

Maddie sighed and pulled me out of bed. I groaned in response and fell back asleep on the floor.

"G we are going to the city today." Maddie said.

"Okay, why do we have to leave so damn early?" I asked.

"G it's 3 hours away I told you about it yesterday, so get up and get ready." Maddie said firmly.

"Just give me 5 minutes." I complained.

"G." Maddie snapped as she gave me a death glare. I instantly got up and ran to the bathroom with my bag.

"Scaredy cat." I heard Maddie say to herself.

I threw on my sunflower crop top and some shorts. It took Maddie a whole hour and a half get ready.

"For somebody in a hurry, you weren't really hurrying." I joked as I climbed into Maddie's car. Maddie laughed and hit me playfully on the arm. The ride to the city was interesting. We were both extremely hyper due to the lack of sleep, we screamed song lyrics and I made tiktoks about how much I loved Maddie.

"We're here, love!" Maddie said excitedly. She parked the car and paid the parking fee for the lot. Being the obvious man in this relationship, she got out and opened the passenger door for me. I giggled giddily and took her hand as I got out of the car.

"Why, thank you!" I laughed. We walked towards the busy downtown area and made our way to the shops.

"Where would you like to go, G?"

"Hmmmm… let's go to the ice cream shop!" Hand in hand, we walked towards the ice cream shop. When we reached the colorful door, I opened the door for Maddie and I followed closely behind. Trying to be playful, I sneakily smacked her butt and earned a little squeak in return. She turned around and smiled cheekily.

"I saw you had the couples sundae, I'll take that for me and my special lady." I said happily as I kissed Maddie' forehead.

"Excuse me ladies, we don't allow people like you in here, please find somewhere else to go." The Icecream shop owner snapped.

"Excuse me, listen here Karen, me and my girlfriend aren't going anywhere, so stop being a snowflake and give us our Ice Cream, you wouldn't want me to get the police involved would you?!" Maddie yelled as she pulled me behind her.

"Okay little dyke." The Ice-cream owner replied.

"Hey don't talk to my girlfriend like that!" I yelled.

"You heard the owner get out!" One of the customers yelled.

I grabbed Maddie by the shirt and pulled her close to me and kissed her on the lips, Maddie in response kissed me back.

"Did that offend you Karen!" Maddie and I yelled together.

In response the owner grabbed me and Maddie by the wrists, led us out of the store and locked the door.

"I'm sorry that happened G." Maddie said sadly.

"Hey it's okay, it's just a nasty homophobe, how about we go to the park." I replied as I held Maddie's hand.

"Ok." Maddie sniffled.

We headed to the park and walked around making each other laugh. Once nightfall came we watched the sunset and headed back to the car. We found the path to the car blocked by the Ice-cream store owner and the employees.

"What do yo-you w_" I wasn't able to finish my sentence before I was thrown onto the hard concrete.

"GEORGIA!" Maddie screamed as she was held back by two store employees.

"Maddie." I sobbed as the owner and two other employees kicked and punched everywhere, I screamed out in pain hoping that somebody would help me.

"STOP PLEASE!!! DON'T HURT HER, HURT ME PLEASE, JUST LEAVE HER ALONE!" Maddie screamed.

The people holding Maddie back shoved her onto the concrete as well and kicked her hard in the ankle and punched her hard in the eye, turning it black and swollen.

"MADDIE!!!" I screamed as I tried to get closer to her. The store owner grabbed me and punched me hard in the nose and eye. My eyes were flooded with tears as I listened to Maddie scream my name, it caused me so much pain, I had to help her, if I was going to die I was going to be by her side holding her hand and telling her how loved she was. I threw the store owners off of me and limped towards Maddie, before I could reach her I was grabbed by the ankle and thrown onto the cement, I instantly passed out when I made impact. The last thing I heard was Maddie's piercing scream. When I woke up the nightmare was finally over, the homophobes were gone but so was Maddie. I tried to get up to go find Maddie but it was no use my leg was far too sore and I was way too dizzy.

"OMG ARE YOU OKAY SWEETIE?" An old lady said fearfully.

"No, I need to find my girlfriend." I cried as I struggled to get up.

"Lay down sweetie, I'll call an ambulance." The lady said kindly.

"I need my Girlfriend." I sobbed.

"Sweetie we'll find her, okay?" The lady soothed.

The lady held my hand and comforted me until the ambulance arrived.

The paramedic loaded me up on a stretcher and into the ambulance and then swiftly drove off.

"What's your name?" The paramedic asked.

"Georgia." I replied through sobs.

"Can you tell me what happened?" The paramedic asked.

"No.. I don't want you to hurt me." I cried.

"Honey we won't hurt you." The paramedic assured, slowly moving towards me,I flinched in fear.

"Don't move, we have to remove the blood." The paramedic demanded.

"Don't you dare touch me." I snapped.

The paramedic sighed and inserted a needle into my skin, I was fast asleep in seconds. When I woke up I was in a hospital bed alone, I felt my swollen eye and nose and felt zero blood it was very relieving.

"Hello honey how are you feeling?" The doctor asked.

"What do you think? Where is my girlfriend?" I asked.

"Is her name Maddie?" The doctor questioned.

"Yes." I replied.

"She is a couple rooms away from you, she is in very critical condition though." The doctor explained.

I tried to sit up so I could see her but the doctor wouldn't let me leave.

"Stop! I need to be with my girlfriend!" I yelled.

"Not right now you need rest." The doctor said firmly.

"I'm not resting until I can see my girlfriend." I sobbed as I tried to get up.

"Stop!" The doctor yelled.

I ignored the doctor and continued to move and yell until I was too weak to even talk or move. The doctor was satisfied that I was finally calm, gave me some medicine and left the room. Later that night I couldn't take it,I had to see Maddie and make sure she was okay. I ripped the Iv out of my arm and forced myself to get out of bed, it hurt so bad but I knew it would be worth it. Every step I took hurt me so bad, but I kept moving, I had to.

"Georgia." I heard a voice say quietly.

I looked into the room and saw Maddie laying there shaking in pain. I limped towards her and crawled onto the bed and snuggled closely.

"How are you?" Maddie asked.

"I'm in a lot of pain right now, what about you?" I replied.

"I'm in so much pain, after you fainted they grabbed a knife and sliced my arm, it was terrifying, ." Maddie explained.

"Omg baby I'm so sorry I couldn't help you. "I cried.

"It's fine, I'm sorry I couldn't help you." Maddie said as she burst into tears.

"Baby it's okay." I assured.

I looked at Maddies stitched up arm and was filled with guilt. I carefully pulled Maddie close to me and let her snuggle close, she began to cry and I rubbed circles on her back and kissed her cheek.

"I was so so scared, I thought I was going to die." Maddie sobbed.

"Shh it's okay, you're okay, we are both alive, we both made it." I was comforted.

"Are you okay mentally?" Maddie asked.

"Not really but we'll get through this together." I responded.

Maddie nuzzled closely and cried it was heartbreaking, she cried for hours before she finally fell asleep, I quickly fell asleep shortly after she did. We spent the next two weeks at the hospital, those two weeks were filled with nightmares and lots of tears. Maddie's mom came by every day with gift baskets of stuff for us to do. On the day we were finally well enough to head home, we both woke up feeling very excited. We both looked so much better, except for lots of scars.

I waited for Maddie to get her stitches off before we were able to go, the doctor gave Maddie's mother medicine for the two of us. We waved goodbye to the doctor and headed out of the hospital hand in hand.

"When we get home we are celebrating." Maddie winked.

I quietly squealed and gave Maddie a huge hug, The ride home was very exciting, the second we got home Maddie led me inside and into her room, with the door locked and the LED lights set on Red. I know where this is going, and I don't mind it. The scars didn't matter at this moment in time, even though they still sting when you touch them.

"Are you okay with this?" Maddie questioned as she approached me with eager eyes. I could already feel her touch lingering on my skin, and it sends shivers down my spine. It burned in the places I wanted her to place her soft, gentle hands. I wanted to tell her that I wanted her, no, craved her more than ever right now, but all that escaped my drooling lips was nothing above a soft whisper.

"Yes…" Her longing arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me in. She kissed me deeply, as if this was the last time she would ever put her lips on mine. I kissed back just as deep, grabbing her hair and tangling my fingers in it. Maddie slowly moved me towards the wall, eventually pinning my back against it roughly, yet as gentle as she could be. It was as if I was a gift, and she was unwrapping me one piece at a time. My hand drifted up to her mouth, and I slowly put my finger on her bottom lip and dragged it downwards, like it was honey dripping from her lips. She smirked at me, and brought her hand up to my neck. Carefully, she gripped my throat, and I let out a small gasp. I grabbed at her waist, pushing my body up against hers. Unable to contain it any longer, I put my mouth next to her ear and whispered softly.

"I want more…" Maddie looked down at me and smiled.

"Are you sure? I don't want to rush you." I appreciated that.

"I'm sure, baby."

"Just tell me to stop if you get uncomfortable." Maddie said sternly. I nodded back to her in response, just wanting her hands on me again. She took me away from the wall, sliding her hands steadily up my shirt. I let it happen, her hands warm against my concealed skin. She lifted my arms up for me and slid my shirt off of my body. She ran her hands up and down my slender waist and to the straps of my undergarments. Wanting to do the same thing in return, I pushed her away slightly and grabbed the bottom of her cotton shirt. She got the hint and let me take it off.

Oh my God. She's beautiful. Maddie led me to her bed and laid me down softly. Her mouth reached mine and kissed me with such passion, I let a moan escape.

"Um, I'm so sorry-"

"Shh, it's okay," Her mouth trailed down to my ear, "It's like music to me, baby." I bit my lip with such excitement, that I almost made myself bleed. She moved her hands down to my waistline and started to unbutton my jean shorts. I loved the feeling of her fingertips against me… it gives me goosebumps. As she unzips my shorts, I thrust forward so she can take them off easier. Maddie tosses them on the floor and comes up to kiss my neck. I place my hand on the back of her neck, beckoning for her to not stop. She left small hickies along my jawline, and I liked the feeling of her slowly moving down. Her mom would see them in the morning, but I didn't care. In fact, I wanted her to see them. I wanted the whole world to see them. To know Maddie has claimed me in some sort of way.

I slid my thumbs underneath the lining of her athletic shorts, and motioned for her to help me take them off. She did, and what happened next made me grip the sheets lining her bed. Maddie slid her hand down underneath my undergarments and played with me before going further.

"Do you want this, baby?" She teased.

"Yes…" I whispered.

"How bad?" She asked playfully, sending down a gaze of pure passion.

"Bad…"

"Say please. You have to be a good girl for me…"

"Please…" I whimpered. But before I could say anything else, she left me moaning. Over and over again.

Until I couldn't take it anymore. I tilted my head back in pleasure and let out a noise almost loud enough for her mother to hear. We completed each other, in more ways than one.

The next morning I woke up feeling different, complete, put back together.

"Mads can you come with me, I have one last therapy session today, oh and can you cover me hickies with some makeup?" I asked.

"Of course I'll come with you." Maddie responded as she began to cover up my hickies.

"What time does your session start?" Maddie asked.

"20 minutes from now." I replied.

"What!" Maddie said madly.

I guiltily threw on my girls in red shirts and jeans, and threw my hair up in a messy bun.

"I'm ready." I said quietly.

Maddie sent me a glare as she quickly got ready.

"Mom we'll be back." Maddie said as she gave me a bagel and some coffee and led me out the door.

"Girls take your meds before you leave." Maddie's mother demanded. Maddie and I grabbed our pills and breakfast and left the house.

"G you've got to tell me sooner, so I don't feel rushed." Maddie scolded.

"Sorry baby." I said guiltily.

"It's okay." Maddie sighed.

Once we arrived at the therapist I was overcome with nerves, I hated having people besides Maddie see me cry and I knew I was going to end up crying.

"Hey I'll be right beside you." Maddie said as she tightly gripped my hand.

"Hi Georgia! How have you been?" My therapist asked.

"I've been good Katy." I responded.

"That's wonderful, who'd you bring with you?" Katy asked.

"I'm her girlfriend Maddie." Maddie responded.

"Pleasure to meet you, has anything bad happened lately?" Katy asked.

I looked at Maddie and she held my hand tightly. I then took a deep breath and began to talk.

"Maddie and I were walking in a city. We went to an Ice-cream shop and got kicked out because of us being gay, later that night the owner and the employees jumped us and attacked us. They punched and kicked us. I didn't think I was going to make it, all I wanted was Maddie but I couldn't get to her, I have had 12 nightmares since it happened…" I said as I erupted into tears.

"Honey, that sounds like PTSD, I'm going to be sending you to a psychiatrist so you can get some medicine, if it's okay I would love it if you went to see them as soon as I am done with you." Katy explained.

"Thanks." I replied.

"I want you to come back next week at 3pm okay." Katy ordered.

I nodded and headed down the hall to the psychiatrist's office.

"Hi did Katy send you?" The psychiatrist asked.

I nodded fearfully.

"Here are some pills, I want you to take two before bed, it will help with the nightmares and the trauma." The psychiatrist prescribed.

"Thanks." I said quietly as Maddie and I left hand in hand.

"I put the date on my phone calendar for you." Maddie said kindly.

"Thanks babe." I replied.

Maddie and I spent our day at the river swimming and sunbathing. Overall it was a good day. Maddie made us chicken nuggets for dinner.

"Hey Mads, I'm pretty tired I'm gonna head off to the bed." I yawned.

"Alright, here." Maddie said as she gave me my meds and some water. I took the pills down, gagging at the bitter taste.

"Night." I said as I headed upstairs, it was only 9 at night but I didn't care. I was out the second I hit the pillow. I slept great for the first couple of hours, but before I knew it that night came back to me but it was far worse Maddie didn't make it, and I had to watch her die. I woke up sobbing and screaming, I watched Maddie quickly run in.

"Hey I'm here." Maddie soothed.

"Leave her alone!." I screamed.

"Hey it's Maddie, the nightmare is all over, you're at my house, I'm here." Maddie soothed.

"Leave me alone!" I sobbed.

"Hey G look at me, I'm here, I'm okay." Maddie said through tears as she looked me in the eyes.

"I need to be alone!" I yelled as I shoved Maddie away from me and began to hyperventilate from the large amount of sobbing.

"What's going on, are you okay Georgia?" Maddie's mother asked fearfully.

"G honey breathe, Maddie go get her some water." Maddie's mother said with a voice full of concern.

"It was about the night it happened, Maddie was killed in front of me." I sobbed.

"It's all over honey, Maddie's okay. they won't hurt you anymore." Maddie's mother soothed.

"G drink some water." Maddie demanded as she gave me some water.

I let Maddie dump some water into my mouth, because I was far too shaky to do anything.

"Maddie I don't want to go back to sleep." I sobbed.

"Baby you have to get rest, I'll lay with you until you calm down, I know it's scary but the medicine is going to help you with your nightmares." Maddie soothed.

"I'm sorry Mads, I'm not sleeping." I said stubbornly.

Maddie sighed and held me close to her as I sobbed.

"You got her Mads?" Maddie's mom asked.

"Yes." Maddie responded.

"Okay, Georgia I love you sweetie, you are like a daughter to me, I'm here if you need me." Maddie's mother explained.

"Thanks." I said quietly.

"I'm sorry Maddie, I'm sorry I shoved you." I sobbed.

"Shh it's okay." Maddie said as she stroked my hair.

I felt myself drifting back to sleep, I tried to fight it but I was fast asleep in minutes.

"Morning G, how are you?" Maddie asked.

I yawned and replied "Good".

"Thanks for being there last night, words can't describe how much I love you and how much what you did meant to me." I Said as I kissed Maddie on the lips.

"You welcome baby girl." Maddie responded.

"Can we stay home today and watch movies today?" I asked.

"Sure but tomorrow we are going shopping, you need to get back to school G." Maddie said firmly.

"I'm good." I replied.

"This isn't up for discussion, Mr. Harvord has been worried sick, you've been out of school for over four months, I know it's been for a good reason and most of the time is excused, but now that you are better you have to go back." Maddie said firmly as she gave me a mom glare.

"Whatever." I sighed.

"You've missed school too." I added.

"G, I missed 3 weeks of school, and those 3 weeks were excused because of what happened." Maddie said.

"Let's go upstairs and have that movie day you were talking about." Maddie added.

I sighed and followed Maddie upstairs. We ended up watching Musicals and snuggling all day long, only stopping for food, drinks, and bathroom breaks.

"G." Maddie said.

"Yeah love." I replied.

"You are one of the greatest things that happened to me." Maddie said.

In response I leaned in and kissed her passionately, Maddie smirked and kissed me back. We went out for dinner that night, and to end that day we headed upstairs and into her room. What seemed like almost instantly I pinned Maddie up against the wall and kissed her intensely on the lips. She let out a gasp and kissed me back. Satisfied with the way she reacted I kept going. Ripping off her shirt and mine, I took her away from the wall and eventually shoved her on the bed. I levitated my hands over her buttoned up jean shorts, asking for permission to slide them off. Maddie pushed her hips forward and pulled her jean shorts off, throwing them on the floor and immediately guiding my hand where she wanted me to go. She let out a moan and I whispered softly in her ear.

"That's my princess." We made out like that for an hour, before we ended up falling asleep still on top of each other.

"G wake up we got to get going." Maddie said.

I yawned and threw myself out of bed and quickly got ready.

"How'd you sleep?" Maddie asked.

"Fine, what about you." I responded.

"Good." Maddie said.

When Maddie was finally done getting ready we headed to the car.

"Do you want anything from McDonalds?" Maddie questioned.

"Yeah sure." I replied as I snuck a glare at Maddie.

"Look I know you don't wanna go back, but having an attitude isn't going to change anything," Maddie snapped.

"Fine." I mumbled.

Maddie let out an eye roll and slapped me playfully, I let out a small smirk.

"Babe can I have a coffee?" I asked.

"Of course." Maddie responded.

I drank my coffee and jammed out to music with Maddie the whole entire way to the mall. Once we arrived Maddie and I walked hand in hand too JC Penney to get clothes.

"G try this on." Maddie demanded as she threw a blue tye dye shirt at me.

I smiled and put it in the cart.

"It's medium, it's gonna fit Mads." I stated.

"Alright." Maddie responded.

We spent the whole day shopping and trying on cute outfits much to Maddie's delight and my dismay, I was still pretty mad and scared about having to go back to school. Maddie who noticed I was mad and obviously scared pulled me into the dressing room with her.

"Look drop the attitude, I'll be by your side, I've talked to all your teachers and they all know that you are going through a lot, I got your lunch period changed to mine so I can see you, everything is going to be okay, being a jerk isn't going to make me change my mind, so drop the attitude or I will do it for you got it." Maddie said madly.

"Make me." I replied.

Maddie grabbed my throat and slammed me against the wall in response.

"Sorry." I said.

"It's fine, just know that I won't be putting up with your attitude the rest of the day." Maddie said firmly.

"I'm sorry baby, I'm just scared." I said sadly.

"It's fine." Maddie replied.

The rest of the day went a lot better we got school supplies, ice-cream and stopped at IHOP for breakfast, overall it was a good day. That night before bed I took my meds and passed out in Maddie's arms.

"G time to go." Mads ordered

I sighed and decided to get up without any complaints because I knew it would make Maddie happy.

"Baby I know you're scared and it's okay to be scared, but trust me you are going to have a great day and thank me for making you go back to school." Maddie soothed as she gave me a peck on the lips.

"Thanks, the assurance really helps right now." I responded.

"No problem." Maddie replied.

We headed downstairs and had some breakfast and took our meds. We then headed upstairs and finished getting ready.

The second Maddie and I were in the car, I began to shake in fear, I was so nervous at the fact I'd be around so many strangers again, that I would be glared at and teased again, that I wouldn't get to be with Maddie the whole day and most of all having to fear for my safety all day long. Once we arrived I kissed Maddie goodbye and walked off shaking with fear. Maddie sent me an text explaining that I would be okay and that she is here if she needs me. I headed to Mrs. Williams' English class.

"Georgia welcome back honey, if you need to talk after class I'm here. Oh and I've heard rumor's Maddie has something big at the end of the day for you. " Mrs. Williams said happily.

"Thanks, I'm excited now." I replied.

"You should be! Oh and Georgia don't worry about making up anything you missed, I know you've been struggling so I'll let you have your evenings to yourself." Mrs Williams explained.,

"Thank you so so much." I said happily.

"You welcome." Mrs. Williams replied.

English went surprisingly well, Mrs. Williams made sure to teach in a way that would help me understand what we've been learning. My next class was choir with Mrs. Lindsay( an openly gay choir teacher who I absolutely adored).

I was the last one into the choir room and was greeted with the class singing to me.

"Welcome back Georgia, we've missed you." Mrs. Lindsay said kindly.

"Thanks." I said.

The whole choir class I felt free, I loved singing it made me forget everything that was bothering me.

The next class was my least favorite math, it wasn't because I hated the subject, it was because I hated the teacher his name was Mr.Bentley and he was very homophobic.

"Georgia, you are excused from having to make up your assignments unfortunately, I've assigned Cassidy to work with you on the project I will be assigning today." Mr. Bentley said as he sent me a rude look.

"I can't work with her." I said.

"Stop complaining, or I will have no choice but to give you detention." Mr. Bentley snapped.

"Georgia here let me help you with the math." Cassidy offered as she forcefully grabbed my hand.

"You said you don't hang with snakes, and touch me again and you will be sorry got it." I snapped as I pulled my hand back and away from Cassidy.

"Georgia we've got to get along so I won't fail." Cassidy complained.

"I'd rather fail then work with you, now I would appreciate if wouldn't talk to me anymore thank you very much." I said loudly, unfortunately attracting Mr. Bentley and the attention of everyone in the class.

"Is there something wrong?" Mr. Bentley asked madly.

"Yes Georgia over here is refusing to work with me and she threatened me." Cassidy explained.

"Well then Georgia wait for me in the hallway, as for the rest of you continue working." Mr. Bentley demanded.

"Bitch!" I screamed at Cassidy.

"GO!" Mr. Bentley yelled.

I stormed out of the classroom door, angrily slamming it on my way out.

"Georgia, I hope you're happy with yourself, you've gotten yourself a week of after school detention starting tonight at 3:00pm." Mr. Bentley angrily explained.

"Okay.." I said sadly, dreading Maddie's reaction when telling her about this.

I headed back into the classroom and back to where Cassidy was sitting, I refused to say anything and worked all alone on my complicated project. I was relieved when the bell rang for lunch, I nearly sprinted there so I could see Maddie.

"Hi Maddie, today has went so well up until math, in English she was so nice and in choir the whole class sang for me, but in Math I got paired with Cassidy and we got into an argument and I landed myself a week of detention starting tonight." I ranted to Maddie.

"That's good you stuck up for yourself I guess, but you should've handled the situation more maturely instead of arguing and landing yourself a week's detention." Maddie lectured as we began to eat our lunch.

"I know, I was just so tired of the way she was treating me." I replied.

"I understand, can I ask you a weird question real quick?" Maddie asked.

"Sure." I replied.

"What ever happened to your father?" Maddie asked.

"He was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, he was locked up when I was five years old, his sentence is almost up though." I explained.

"Omg, I'm so sorry Georgia." Maddie said sweetly.

"It's okay." I responded.

"Okay, do you want me to help you write him a letter later?" Maddie asked.

"I would love that baby." I said with happy tears in my eyes.

"Oh how was your day by the way?" I asked.

"It was alright." Maddie replied.

"Did something happen?" I questioned.

"I was paired with Heather for an assignment." Maddie said.

"We had a quiet but firm talk." Maddie added.

"Ok." I responded. The rest of the lunch was spent talking and laughing.

"G, I can't wait till the end of the day, you are in for a huge surprise." Maddie said.

"I can't wait!" I squealed.

"You're so cute when you're excited." Maddie said.

The bell dismissed us from lunch, and I waved goodbye to Maddie and blew her a kiss. My last 4 classes went well, everyone was so nice too me.

During my last hour I had found out an assembly was planned, heading to the assembly made excitement rush through me- I had a strong feeling Maddie was behind this. When I entered the gym I saw Maddie in front of the school with flowers. I sprinted into her arms and let her swing me around.

"Thanks." I squealed.

Maddie pointed to a chair and I slowly sat down. Maddie headed to a stand with a microphone, winked at me and then began to speak.

"Hi, I'm sure a lot of you have heard about what Georgia's been through, I've never met somebody as brave as she is. I've talked to the school about arranging this assembly so we can show Georgia, that she doesn't have to be afraid to go here, I want her to see that this is a safe place and that she has people here that will protect her when I can't." Maddie spoke.

Some of the students began to chant " We love Georgia!". I burst into happy sobs. Maddie pulled me close and kissed me full on the lips. Every last student except Heather and Cassidy began to cheer. I kissed Maddie back, blushing the whole time.

Maddie then ended her speech and held me close to her. The bell rang and Maddie walked me out of the gym tightly gripping my hand and my flowers.

"Thanks baby, I love you so so much." I said as I wiped my tears.

"No problem, I'll be here at five to pick you up, I'm taking your flowers home with me, once you get home we can start writing the letter." Maddie replied.

I kissed Maddie on the cheek and entered Mr. Bentley's classroom.

"Hi Georgia, I want you to take a seat, I'm going to be having you make up every last assignment you missed during this week of detention, I'd recommend starting now." Mr. Bentley said firmly.

I sighed and began to work. Detention ended at 5:30 pm.

"Sorry Mads, it went longer than I thought it would." I apologized.

"It's okay." Maddie responded.

Once we got home we instantly began writing the letter, when we were finished I picked it up and read it one last time to make sure it had zero mistakes.

Dear Father,

I'm so sorry I haven't spoken to you in a while, I've been going through a lot. I miss you so much dad, you don't deserve the long 11 years of your life that was wrongly wasted. The day I found out you were arrested, my world fell apart. I thought I would never see you again. Just think 20 more days and I will finally be able to see you again, if you don't mind, I would love it if you would allow me to live with you, it would mean the world to me.

Sincerely Georgia,

I then let Maddie hold me as I cried.

"It's alright." Maddie soothed.

" Pinky Promise." I said.

"Yes I pinky promise." Maddie said kindly.

"How was school?" Maddie's mother asked.

"It was good." Maddie and I responded.

"That's good." Maddie's mother said.

The next 20 days went by fast and was filled with school and fun weekends spent hanging out with each other and planning our future, the therapy visits were so so helpful. On the nights where my bad dreams paid a visit, Maddie held me until I fell back asleep. When the morning I would be able to see my father again finally arrived, I was filled with excitement but also sadness, it meant I wouldn't be able to live with the love of my life anymore.

"You'll come visit won't you?" I asked.

"I will if you visit me." Maddie replied.

"Of course." I said.

"Are you ready?" Maddie asked as she helped me pack the rest of my stuff up.

I nodded and squeezed Maddie's hand as we headed downstairs and to her car.

The ride to the jail took an hour, I was so nervous.

The second we arrived and I saw my father, I sprinted into his arms crying happy tears.

"Oh my goodness I missed you so much, I have a girlfriend now her name is Maddie, I can't wait to tell you about everything that happened so much." I cried.

"I missed you too Georgia, I can't wait to hear about what has happened recently." My father replied.

"Hi Maddie, I'm Cyrus, thanks for making my daughter so happy." Cyrus said as he shook Maddie's hand.

"No problem." Maddie responded.

"Bye Maddie, I'll see you Saturday okay." I said.

"Alright, have fun tomorrow with your father, I can't wait to hear all about it." Maddie responded.

"I love you." I said. Maddie smiled and gave me a peck on the lips and then drove off.

I spent the rest of the night hanging out with my father, we got dinner and watched movies together, it was an incredible night. I also told my dad about my eventful past months, he held me close while I cried.

The next morning I took the day off of school much to Maddie's dismay when I called her.

"Georgia honey, come here we are going to run some errands." Cyrus yelled.

"Coming!" I yelled as I ran out of my room and climbed into my father's car.

My father drove us to the river where we walked around and just talked for hours, my father ended up bursting into tears while talking about what happened while he was locked up, it was heartbreaking to listen too.

"Dad, can I go hang out with Maddie tomorrow?" I asked.

"Sure." Cyrus replied.

I squealed with excitement, hugged my dad and then headed upstairs. Maddie was at the house by 9:00 am with a look of pure disappointment.

"Hi baby!" I said happily.

"Don't hi baby me, Mr. Bentley pulled me aside during school and told me you are missing 20 assignments, you have a F in his class, G that isn't okay." Maddie scolded.

"Is everything okay?" Cyrus asked.

"Your daughter is failing math and has 20 missing assignments." Maddie said madly.

"Georgia are you kidding me! Until you can get your grade up your phone is mine, I'm so disappointed with you right now." Cyrus said angrily.

I sighed and gave my father my phone.

"I'll make sure Georgia get's those assignments done." Maddie stated.

"Thank you Maddie." Cyrus replied as he left shaking his head.

Maddie sent me a glare and pointed to the kitchen table. I guiltily sat down and grabbed my math stuff out of my bag. Maddie sat next to me and we began to work.

"I've missed you, we've had so much fun, we both talked about what we've been going through." I explained.

"I've missed you too, I'm glad that you have been having fun." Maddie responded.

It took 5 hours to finish all 20 assignments, Maddie sat by me the whole time double checking every single one of my assignments to make sure everything was correct.

"Are you still mad at me?" I asked quietly.

"No G I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed I want you to do good in school and I know you want to do good too, If this ever happens again and you hide it from me then you will be sorry, I forgive you by the way." Maddie explained.

"Ok, I'm sorry baby, I'll tell you next time, I just didn't feel like doing 4 monts of missing assignment, I did most but when it came to the last 20 I just made myself forget about them so I didn't have to do it, I know that what I did was very irresponsible and I apologize for that." I replied.

"That's my girl." Maddie said as she kissed me on the lips.

"Maddie can I tell you something?" I asked.

"Of course." Maddie responded as she offered me a smile.

"I haven't been going to school because I'm scared of getting attacked again, that's why I'm failing math." I said nervously.

"Are you serious right now Georgia, do you realize how selfish you're being, you don't want to get attacked but what about me!" I yelled.

"Maddie don't be like that you know that I would beat myself up if you get attacked!" I said with tears forming in my eyes.

"Obviously not if you skip school without telling me, just because you don't want to get attacked!" Maddie yelled.

"I didn't think you'd take it this way." I cried.

"Well, you thought wrong. All I want is for you to succeed and be safe, but you never acknowledge that. I'm trying my best to be good for you, and you go and do this? What were you thinking?" Maddie said angrily.

"I know you're trying your best and I appreciate that, I was just scared and I wasn't thinking." I responded.

"Yeah obviously, we are done Georgia, I'm tired of the lying!" Maddie yelled.

"Maddie please." I pleaded.

"No Georgia Diane, I'm leaving and I hope you are happy with yourself." Maddie said as she left slamming the door. I sprinted outside and grabbed Maddie's hand.

"Maddie please don't leave me, I'm sorry I lied to you, I really am." I sobbed.

"Georgia stop! Nothing you say is gonna change my mind!" Maddie yelled.

"You're such a jerk! I've gone through so much shit and just because I'm scared out of my mind of going to school you're gonna break up with me, You're supposed to be there Madison, I need you Madison." I sobbed.

"Georgia don't turn this around on me, I do so much for you, you've never done anything for me!" Maddie yelled.

"That's a load of bullshit, I was there when you needed me the most and you return the favor by leaving me!" I yelled.

"I have every right to leave you!" Maddie screamed.

"No you don't Madison." I responded.

"Leave me alone!" Maddie yelled as she drove off leaving me sobbing.

I fell to the ground too weak too move, tears flowed down my face. I couldn't breathe, all I could do is cry. Cyrus sprinted outside and pulled me into his arms.

"Georgia darling, talk to me." Cyrus said calmly.

"Maddie broke up with me because I was being selfish and I've been skipping school, I've just been so scared dad. The thought of being around all those strangers scares me." I sobbed.

"I know it's hard Georgia, what happened to you is horrible and I'd be traumatized too, how about we take it day by day, we'll start with visiting a restaurant, that way you can socialize and understand that it's okay and that you don't need to be afraid you anymore." Cyrus replied.

"Okay." I sniffled.

"I want Maddie dad, I miss her so much already, I miss her laugh and her smile, I messed up and ruined everything, maybe it would be better if I was gone." I sobbed.

Cyrus pulled me into a hug and just let me cry for hours, after four hours of nothing but crying I headed inside and into my bedroom and grabbed a nearby paperclip and began to cut my leg, the pain satisfied me. My father ran into my room, ripped the paperclip out of my hand and held me again. I ended up falling asleep in his arms. The next weeks were so painful, I didn't eat or drink and ended up losing 13 pounds. I spent everyday laying in bed refusing to do anything. The times I went out with my dad too boost my confidence and lower the amount of fear were the only times I felt good. Every night I called Maddie hoping that she would eventually pick up, I needed her, she was my lighthouse and I was her boat, I had to find my way back to her, if only she would show me the way back by realizing that she hurt me and accepting how much we truly need each other. A painful month later I decided to return to school, maybe it would show Maddie that I cared and loved her enough and that I wasn't selfish. I woke up at 4:00am the morning I was going back, I made her an apology card that was 4 pages long and I bought her a bouquet of flowers on the way to school, I was shaking the whole way there. The second I arrived I headed off to find Maddie. After ten minutes of searching I found Maddie in a classroom, but she wasn't alone she was kissing Heather. I dropped the flowers and card and stared at Maddie with disgust and disbelief.

"I'm the selfish one Madison?" I said as I glared at Maddie.

"Hi Georgia, I um it's not what you look like- we were um- we were practicing- she forced me- your so pretty." Maddie said guiltily.

"I didn't force you." Heather said.

"How could you Madison?! I came here to tell you I still loved you, I wasn't expecting you to move on so easily, did you even love me to begin with?!" I cried.

"Of course I loved you G." Maddie said.

"Wow! I trusted you Madison Elizabeth! It's so ironic that you were so mad at Cassidy for dating my enemy, yet you go and do the same thing!" I yelled.

"I've moved on Georgia, I wanted you to regret your selfish behavior!" Maddie yelled.

"I didn't do anything!" I sobbed.

"Heather I'm telling Cassidy." I said.

"Maddie don't let her do that to me." Heather begged.

Maddie looked at Heather and then walked towards me and pulled me close.

"You tell Cassidy and you will be sorry, got it." Maddie said firmly.

"Since when can you control me?" I questioned angrily.

"Since you stopped caring about my safety, and put yourself first."

"What does she mean?" Heather asked as she turned to me.

"Oh you didn't tell her Madison, I'm surprised she hasn't heard anything about it yet, considering your big mouth." I sneered.

"What happened?" Heather asked.

"I began to skip classes because I felt unsafe after Maddie and I were jumped, I didn't tell her because I knew she'd flip out, when I told her she twisted it and made me seem like the bad guy, she told me that I was selfish because I supposedly didn't care about her safety because I was the one who skipped and not her!" I explained.

"I'm not choosing sides here because you both messed up, Maddie you shouldn't make people feel guilty and selfish just because they were scared, in this case Georgia had every right to be terrified, Georgia I know you were scared and it was wrong for Maddie to make you feel that way but next time you should be more honest." Heather stated. I watched as Maddie walked angrily away, obviously disappointed at Heather for not taking her side.

"Hey Georgia I'm sorry okay, Maddie forced me into this when she saw you coming she forced herself onto me, I'm also sorry for leading you on and then dating Cassidy, it was a shitty thing for me to do. I've realized how much Cassidy hurt you and decided to end it. Heather explained.

"Heather it's okay I forgive you, you are an amazing person you really are, you've shown me how much you've learned by learning from the mistakes you've made. I like that about you." I replied.

"Thanks Georgia, I'll leave you alone now." Heather said.

"No it's okay, how about I walk you to class, I can tell your a little hurt." I stated.

I walked Heather to her class and waved goodbye and headed to my class. I struggled paying attention the rest of the day, I thought of Heather and the growth she showed, I loved it when people showed growth like her, it really shows me how much she really cares. On my way out of class that day Maddie came back, she shoved me onto the school's brick wall and did the unthinkable.

"I told you you'd be sorry if you told Cassidy." Maddie said.

"I didn't tell Cassidy, please don't hurt me ." I said as my voice cracked in fear.

Heather who noticed me cowering in fear with mascara running down my eyes came and pulled me close. Maddie wasn't having any of it and pulled Heather away.

"Leave now!" Heather yelled as she shoved Maddie away from her and continued to comfort me. Maddie sighed and angrily stormed away.

"Hey I'm going to take you home okay." Heather said.

"Okay." I responded.

I called my father and told him everything that happened and that I was riding home with Heather, he was terrified and told me he'd contact the police and Maddie's mother.

"Thanks Heather, I'm sorry for being such a jerk to you." I said sadly.

"It's okay." Heather responded sweetly.

"I can't believe that everything Maddie and I had could've been fake. I hate it Heather." I cried.

"I know it's painful but she won't hurt you anymore, you're so brave Georgia so brave." Heather replied.

"Really." I said.

"Yes Georgia really." Heather said softly.

I wasnt the one to move on fast, but I knew I was catching feelings and I had no problem with it.

"Hey Heather what are you doing Saturday?" I asked.

"Nothing but if you wanted to hang out I'd be down." Heather said as she began to blush.

I squealed with excitement and replied.

"I'd love that very much, how does 3:00 pm sound?"

"Perfect, I can't wait!" Heather said happily.

"Me neither." I quietly muttered as I waved goodbye and headed inside to my father.

"Hey are you okay honey?" Cyrus asked.

"Yeah I'm honestly pretty good right now dad." I responded.

"That's good, I'm here if you need me okay." Cyrus soothed.

"Thanks dad." I said.

"No problem." Cyrus responded.

I headed to my bedroom and worked on getting rid of every last thing that reminded of Maddie, two hours later every last photo was in the trash. Doing that made me feel incredible, I didn't need somebody as toxic as Maddie.

The next couple school days were wonderful, I spent my lunch with Heather goofing around. Maddie's mother found out about what she did and told the school she ended up getting suspended for a long time. Cassidy found herself another girlfriend and continued to pretend that Heather and I didn't exist to her. Saturday finally came around and at 11:00 am I woke up filled with excitement. I spent the whole morning making Heather a card and baking her fresh chocolate chip cookies. I put on a beautiful sunflower dress and curled my hair, when she finally arrived I was filled with excitement.

"You look beautiful!" I complimented.

"Thanks, so do you Georgia." Heather replied.

"Can I hold your hand?" Heather asked with her cheeks bright red.

"Of course." I responded as I squeezed Heather's hand.

Heather drove us to my favorite restaurant Applebee's. Heather respectfully opened my car door and held my hand and walked me inside opening the restaurant doors for me. I felt so special and I loved it so much. After lunch Heather took me to the park.

"Come here let's dance." Heather said.

"Okay." I replied as Heather and I spun each other around giggling.

Heather ended up staying the night and I slept super close the entire night. It was wonderful and it reminded me that even though things are hard I will always have Heather to remind me that everything was going to be okay, just you wait Maddie is going to wish she was Heather.

*Ten years later*

The day finally came for me and Heather's wedding, we got married at a beautiful beach in Hawaii. My father was there cheering me on. 3 months after our wedding we moved into an oceanside house in Florida, where years later we had adopted two girls named Gypsy and August. Together Heather and I were like Sunflowers, when times got dark we could depend on each other and that's what we did for the long life we spent side by side.
