New Danger

Byeol flew out of the gate and landed on the ground. The man who had talked with him earlier ran towards him and asked, "Is there a problem, sir?!"

"Hmm? No. I am done. Just the boss is left. You all can go and start your work there."

Without waiting for the man to reply, he flew back inside the gate. The men stood there bewildered. Without any other option, the mining team entered the gate followed by the collection team.

Byeol led them to the three herds of Centaur Warriors and archers that he had killed. The collection team picked up the corpses and carried them outside while the mining team cut down the trees. The trees in the Gates were made out of extremely hard, mana infused wood which was used to make both Armor and weapons and was also used to make furniture for rich people.

Without anything else to do, Byeol sat down on the body of the still alive Centaur Boss and observed the men work their jobs. 

Almost four hours later, the teams were finished with their work. Byeol thanked them for their hard work and saw them walk out of the gate. After no one was left inside he flew back towards the boss. 

He looked down on the creature with a cold look. He closed his right palm, making the flame sword that was jammed into the monster vaporise a large chunk from it.

It's torso had a huge hole in it which didn't let out any kind of blood as the intense heat of the sword cauterized all kinds of wounds. 

The moment the boss monster died, the entire dungeon seemed to tremble slightly. As if warning the remaining people that the dungeon will close up soon. 

He picked up the corpse with one hand and exited the dungeon. He dropped the corpse on the ground which made a big impact when it touched the ground. 

Seeing that there was nothing else to do, he flapped his wings and flew away, ignoring the dozens of reporters outside the barricade that wanted to write a story on the first hunt of Korea's latest S-Rank.

Almost a month had gone by with Byeol only clearing a few more gates. Most of them were B-Rank but a few were A-Rank. With him not being exhausted and not needing to rest anymore he was easily able to make time for both his company and his hunting.

Today, he was in his company with some new ideas that he thought would be profitable for the company. 

"So I hope everyone is ready?" He asked his subordinates who were sitting down behind a large table. 

"So for the new fiscal year, I am thinking of venturing into a new sector which has both low competition and relatively high demand.

He noticed how none of them talked as they were confused about how this can be profitable for the company.

"I've noticed that the miners used normal pickaxes for use in gates. But the problem is that one, it is extremely difficult to break the rocks using normal equipment and two, the equipment breaks frequently and has to be replaced quite often. This here-" he placed a small box on the table. Inside the box was a pickaxe which had a slight blue hue.

"-is a pickaxe which has been imbued with mana using a Mana Crystal from an E-Rank Gate. Through some tests I discovered that this is almost 15 times more durable than a regular pickaxe. Creating a single one of them only cost me twice the amount of a normal pickaxe."

The design and development team leaders picked up the tool and observed it carefully. The other team leaders then started debating whether it is truly a good sector to venture into for the company. 

After an hour long debate, it was finally decided that the company would start making these pickaxes if only we can get some heavy source of funding first. 

This time Byeol interrupted them and declared, "I've already had some talks with some people and if we are successful then we can expect a partnership with the Hunter's Association and also some funding from the Miner's Association."

This point helped the leaders cement their decision. They then discussed their timeline for this project and dismissed themselves.

"Hmm. I hope this helps create a lot of profit. I really need the funds."

In one of the weather stations of America, a researcher furrowed his brows while looking towards the screens of his computers. 

'This screen is showing that a hurricane is forming over the American West Coast. But satellite images show that nothing is out of the ordinary. Is this machine broken?'

"Hey Mark!" The researcher called for his co-worker who walked behind the researcher while sipping a cup of coffee.

"Yeah?"

"Can you check your data and tell me the conditions over the West Coast? I think mine is a little defective."

"Yeah man, sure." His co-worker moved to a different desk and switched on the computer. Be entered a few of the data and observed the results on the screen and said, "H-hey man? Are your Readings showing a hurricane over the West Coast?"

"You too?"

"Yep."

The researcher asked a few more of his co-workers to verify the data. Seeing that everyone was getting the same result he immediately picked up his phone and called his superior.

"Sir, sorry for calling you at this hour but I think we have an emergency."

""*Groan* What happened?*Yawn*""

"Sir the readings from our sensors and the satellite images are not matching."

""What? Are you sure?""

"Yes sir. We've double checked."

""Ok. Thanks for informing. Send me both the data and the aerial images. I will be taking care of the rest of it.""

The supervisor disconnected from the call. He got up from his bed and washed his face while dialling a number.

"Hello. This is the American Hunter's Bureau. How may I help you?"

"Hello. This is Senior Researcher Ed Ross. Please connect me to your Regional Director."

He waited a few seconds before getting a reply from the other side.

"Mr. Ross? Any problem?"

"Director, can you please send me the data of your Mana Examination from-" he took a look at the images and the data that his subordinate sent from on the laptop and said, "Los Angeles, California?"

"Yes of course. But can I ask for the reason?"

"Sir I suspect we might be seeing the emergence of an EXTREMELY HIGH level Gate."

AN: I literally saw the most creepiest thing today. I was searching through the internet for good parks to go to with my friends when I came across a youtube channel with most of the videos being like, "Most Romantic places in __ park.", but that is not the creepiest thing. It was the fact that the guy secretly recorded people getting intimate and making out in a park in my city. He posted them all on YouTube!

What the FUCK?!

The people don't even know that they have been recorded. I saw many comments saying how they don't know as they have been recorded and the guy didn't even blur the faces. He snuck behind the benches of the parks and secretly recorded the entire thing along with their conversations.

Fuck!
