63 Chapter 61- Plot?

Through the cameras installed on the ships around the island, some visuals were being captured. Although it wasn't as clear as the footage that the cameraman was telecasting it was evidently being showcased how some unexpected appearances have brought a sense of dread to the hunters.

The three humanoid monsters were terrifying just by looking at them through TV screens.

Amidst the chaos stood only four hunters currently and almost every attention was now focused on the only capable person who seemed to be overpowering the newly appeared monsters.

Nanase Haruka.

"From how far can you cast your buff, Hunter-nim?" Haru asked the healer who was somehow able to calm his nerves after receiving some time to collect himself.

He didn't make the others wait before he replied, "I need to be within three hundred meters of my target to support them."

Haru nodded before he said, "Alright, I would hold you in mid-air. Please keep your focus on Hunter Cha and Sunbae alone. I am a healer so I won't need your attention, alright?"

Min Byung-Gyu nodded before Haru manipulated the space beneath the man's feet and lifted him off the ground. After reaching two hundred meters in the open air, he stopped and nodded at the hunter.

Min Byung-Gyu, despite being nervous after facing the monarch from this close, was able to trust Haru with his life and resolve to do his best.

Once done, Haru then turned toward the two remaining adults who were looking at him sternly, prepared to hear his orders.

Haru felt complicated holding this role of a leader but considering that he was the only one aware of the monarchs and their true might, he didn't ponder on needless details.

"Those monsters are far more powerful than they have shown until now...I just could feel it. I won't allow them to teleport freely anymore but we must contain them within the bounds of this island and finish the battle without any losses from our side."

Jin-Woo now understood why those monsters weren't teleporting like before. He was interested to hear how Haru restricted their abilities but he refrained as of now. His attention was required on a far more important matter currently.

Jin-Woo already could feel the humanoid creatures advancing toward them physically along with hordes of monsters.

"I already have damaged the wolf to a certain extent, so dealing with the Frosty won't be an issue. Can you guys take care of the Insect queen?"

Haru asked in an unsure tone since the current Jin-Woo, indeed was strong but he didn't possess the black heart nor did he have gone through the trial of the Architect which surely would have made him even stronger.

His mana might be higher than most of the hunters in the world but he still hasn't unlocked his full potential. Jin-Woo was far away from that level where he could easily flatten the three monarchs currently advancing toward them.

However, "Mm...we will. Just don't die on me, alright? "

Jin-Woo spoke in a calm tone despite having experienced the difference between the current him and the peculiar monsters, carried.

"Yeah, we will do something about her so please focus on the other one, Hunter Nanase. " In a serious tone, the blond woman also assured him with determination flaring in her eyes which made Jin-Woo raise his brows.

Something about this woman was definitely different, the future Shadow Monarch noted.

Being assured, Haru nodded before he separated from the two.

'Damn...those two gave me goosebumps just now... ' The aura of main leads was something else, Haru admitted.

Brushing away his needless thoughts, he focused his gaze on the incoming huge wolf.

'Have they not completely merged with their vessels or is this indeed their limit?'

Haru somehow felt that the monarchs weren't as strong as he deemed them to be. The monarch of the beast was indeed clapped by Jin-Woo in the canon, but it only happened after Jin-Woo attained immortality and possession of Ashborn's soul.

Before that, the Beast Monarch was strong enough to destroy Thomas Andre completely. But at the moment, Haru knew, that if he stopped holding back, this farce would come to an end within seconds.

'Something is not right about this situation.... '

Dodging the claw of the Monarch, Haru used his left punch to counter. The strength of his restless training and his innate skill were working perfectly to fight the beast on equal footing.

However, despite all the punches and kicks he dodged and counter-attacked with, Haru's mind was in turmoil. The ice elf wasn't using his sleep-inducing spell to make Jin-Woo and Hae-In unconscious nor was he being fierce like he was in the manhwa.

And it didn't help that there was a menacing grin spread across the elf's lips all the time which gave a creepy vibe down Haru's spine.

Using his skill [Mutou Dori] he effortlessly caught every single spike of ice directed at him and crushed it into bits.

"What are you plotting....tell me and I will make your death less painful. " Haru was being pushed to his wit's end as he finally asked in a threatening tone only to hear the laughter of the ice elf who realized that the human finally caught up with their strategy.

[Took you long.... ]

The Frost Monarch didn't stop and continued throwing one after another attack at Haru who was dodging it without much movement. The Beast Monarch was no longer trying to move as he stood at a side and just looked at Haru with a predatory gaze, sharing an equally terrifying grin as his fellow monarch.

Haru's self-restraint was broken.

"I am done playing around. " As Haru said, his aura began leaking fiercer than before when he initially landed on the island.

The expression on the Monarch's face shifted and the fight between Querehsha and the two hunters also came to an immediate halt.

The ground shook under the sheer pressure of Haru's mana. Waves violently rippled in the sea and the wind suddenly turned heavier.

The Frost Monarch knew that this might not end well as he readied to go all out for the first time during this whole battle. But before he could move even an inch, his throat was grabbed by a grip that broke the Monarch's throat.

After taking hold of the frosty's mouth, Haru lifted his gaze and pointed his index finger at the flabbergasted Beast Monarch.

"Mist dispersion."

Under the widened eyes of the Monarch of Plague, her fellow Monarch disintegrated into nothingness and his existence just vanished.

Haru lifted the ice elf, completely unbothered by the frost congregating around his hand before he tightened his grip on the bastard.

*CRACK*

The overwhelming pressure was releasing smoke from Haru's body and melting his clothes as well. The ice that froze his hand was soon evaporated. There were clear signs of panic in Frost Monarch's eyes since he never expected the Anomaly to be this strong.

However, before Haru could have said or done anything to the elf, Jin-Woo's worried voice arrived from behind.

"Haru...Jinah...."

*****

A/N: - I already could sense loads of curses incoming.

Well, a kind of drama needed to be added to make the story different from canon.

No tragedy would befall...not sure about the monarchs though...

There would be carnage!
