58 Chapter 56- Escape route...

Haru made a mistake.

He had no idea how much energy would have worked as an aggro for the ants so he released almost five percent of his aura which in actuality was his mana in condensed form.

However, he misjudged his own strength and in turn, made every ant run away from him in a fret. The was Choi Jong-In and other hunter's faces went pale, Haru knew that he messed up a big time so he altered the plan and utilized the Hollow Purple to obliterate a great number of ants so Jin-Woo doesn't get hoarded with the populace at once.

'Even Beru... ' Haru was surprised to see that even the ant king was fleeing from Haru which made him aware of what kind of energy signal Korea and the other countries must have received just now.

Regardless, not like he was trying to hide much so Haru got over it real quick and called up for his fellow hunters.

"Master Choi, please stay here and look out for any insect that tries to flee. Mister Baek and Mister Ma hold the second line of defense. I will soon see you guys around..."

With that, Haru levitated away, unbothered by what they had to say.

'Hmm let's see... ' Except for the nest which got destroyed in the previous assault, there was the Queen and her elite guards remaining on the ground with hundreds of ants nearby who were actively heading in Jin-Woo's direction.

Haru did a quick calculation and using his infinity, picked the cameraman.

"E-Eeeehhhhh?!"

"Don't worry, I won't let you fall until you don't annoy me. Just record everything properly alright?"

The cameraman nodded with bids of sweat forming under his helmet as he suddenly found himself thirty feet above the ground and hanging freely in the air.

He just did what he was sent here and using his hand camera he zoomed in the battle zone. His life was already in danger at the time he accepted the job, so no benefit in crying over the spilled milk, rather he chose to perform his job as brilliantly as he could.

"As you all can see..."

Haru ignored the cameraman and his commentary, for now, but he didn't lift the space which surely would have made the man fall into the heap of deadly ants.

'Wish I could use Materia Burst but well... ' Haru sighed since for him it would have been a far easier and quicker way of dealing with this whole mess. He had been wanting to use that nuking spell for some time now but he wasn't getting any chance at all.

And today he was more focused on flashy works so no nukes for today.

Lifting both of his hands, Haru picked more than three hundred mutated ants from the ground and made them levitate to his eyes level.

**SCREECH**

**KIRK**

Most of them were making awful sounds of agony and anger so he didn't wait for long to earn himself a headache, before he slowly began to bring his both hand closer as all the ants began to draw nearer to each other as well.

If only he could have heard the gasps of his surrounding hunter, Haru would have known what kind of monstrous skill he was portraying at the moment.

Regardless, he pulled both of his hands closer until they were fifteen centimeters apart before...

**SLAM**

***SQUELCH***

Like a whole lot of fruit jam fell on the ground, a loud squelching voice reverberated by the collision of those ants turning them into a mush of a huge boulder size lump.

While holding the ball with his right hand, Haru extended his left hand with his index finger pointed straight at the big ball and his thumb facing the sky, before he utilized his most lethal spell.

"Mist Dispersion."

The whole boulder of almost-dead insects suddenly got covered in blue flames before it disappeared from sight like it never existed in the first place. Not even a single drop of blood remained behind.

'Hmm...that should have been pretty cool right?' Haru thought with a slow nod and his lower lips quirked.

[Meanwhile back with Jinah]

"Agh...." Jinah wasn't able to continue looking at the tv screen that much blood and gore were being spattered around because of the skill Haru was using to compress the horde of ants.

But her father, Sung Il-Hwan was watching everything with his eyes slightly widened and astonishment evidently spread on his face.

'He...could have done that as well....'

******

[On Jin-Woo's side:]

**Cling**

His dagger collided with the sharp claws of the humanoid insect whose eyes just explicitly announced how badly it wanted to flee.

The natural instincts of a hunter when comes down to the fret of being hunted, then the said hunter looks at nothing rather than their escape route. And currently, Jin-Woo was the obstacle that was stopping the ant from leaving the island and escaping its possible demise.

***KHIIIIIIK***

With a mighty roar, the said ant landed a barrage of attacks, all centered at Jin-Woo, attempting to distribute the human into bits and pieces but the future shadow monarch wasn't receiving any of the attacks, at all.

Using his recently obtained experience from the demon castle, Jin-Woo barely felt anything out of the roar as he masterfully deflected every attack and damaged the tough skin of his opponent as a counter.

At the side, Cha Hae-In along with several of Jin-Woo's shadow soldiers were fighting all those cannon fodder who were trying to escape the eyes of a single person. The same person who has terrified the Ant King as well, to the point where the said humanoid ant wanted nothing more than to leave the island.

'Haru was suppressing such a power all this time...it's fascinating... ' Smirking at the realization, Jin-Woo used the diversion Tusk brought by his flames and kicked the humanoid ant right in the gutt, throwing it meters away like a broken kite.

**KHEEEK**

The said ant wasn't done yet as it soon stabilized its feet and advanced forward with its wings flapping furiously.

Jin-Woo readied himself for the next assault which he was going to make the last but something unexpected occurred and the humanoid ant changed its trajectory from Jin-Woo and aimed toward his left...

'Shit!'

Cha Hae-In, who just chopped two ants at once with her sword didn't get the time to realize when something so massive and deadly advanced toward her and before she knew it, her body was flying at an unimaginable speed.

She winced and braced herself to bear the crashing damage. There was something sliced off her torso as well which she could only assess once her body come to a halt.

Her vision was getting a little blurry and if not for the buff Min Byung-Gyu had provided, she might have died because of the last unexpected assault.

"Huh?" Cha Hae-In suddenly parted her previously closed eyes since she found herself in complete pause.

"!!!" In general circumstances, beings shrouded by such an alluring scent would have made Cha Hae-In feel pleasant but when her eyes went toward Jin-Woo's cold narrowed gaze which undoubtedly was filled with nothing but pure rage, she felt a chill running down her spine.

Even the humanoid ant stepped backward upon feeling the sheer killing intent from the raven-haired man currently holding the girl like she was made of glass.

"Igrit." Just a normal call but the said shadow soldier appeared beside its liege in an instant before kneeling in respect.

"Protect her." Handing Cha Hae-In to the tall shadow soldier, Jin-Woo commanded before the daggers from his hand disappeared.

After all, anger could only be satiated through some brawling.

*****

A/N: - Jin-Woo is angry for entirely different reason but well, he would be misunderstood and the blush queen would get attracted to him.

I would sail their ship sooner than the manhwa and would probably show their cute moments as well if the readers demand.
