48 Chapter 46- I am back~2!

Under normal circumstances, the first reaction Haru's mother would have upon seeing her son after almost a year was to hug him tightly and complain about how he had grown accustomed to living without his parents.

However, the current situation the lady of the house was put in didn't allow her to behave naturally as she hugged her son and began wailing her heart out like Haru was going on some kind of war.

Reiji was equally astonished to see his son all of a sudden but remembering what he just said causing his wife to cry like this didn't allow the man to properly greet his son. Reiji's guilt was weighing him down.

Haru sensed his father's dilemma but he needs to calm his crybaby mom first.

"I am alright, Mom. You need not worry about your son's safety anymore. I can now take care of myself. "

"Baka! Don't you know that you would always...always remain a little kid for me. How can I not worry about you? "

Between her sobbing, she reprimanded her son when suddenly a realization hit her hard.

"Wait...you said you would be bringing someone special. Is she outside? "

Hearing her words, Haru glared at his dad since he hoped the man to keep the word to himself. Reiji feigned ignorance and turned his head. Indeed, he was too guilty to maintain eye contact.

Haru knew the man would never hide anything from his wife so he already expected this. Nevertheless, he soothed the excited child who was eager to jump into the living room and see the person whom Haru never brought along.

"I didn't bring her since it wasn't the right time. I am here to talk about something with Dad. "

Hearing himself being mentioned, Reiji redirected his gaze toward his son who was looking at him from behind his glasses. Reiji was unable to determine what Haru had in mind but he was sure that his son must be by now aware of the Jeju Island raid and what plot the Association has been planning behind the scene.

"So you didn't come to see your mother..." Her eyes drooped a little as she whined.

"Of course, I wanted to see you too or wouldn't I have gone to Dad's office to have the chat? How can I not meet my adorable mom whom I have missed so much? "

Haru's words brought a smile to Yumiko's face as she dug her face into her son's chest while she muttered under her breath, "Aww...did my baby boy miss me? "

Haru could only sigh at how easily her mood swings but thanks to that Reiji and Haru could now be more relaxed since seeing Yumiko in apprehension troubles both of them.

"Alright, Dad. Shall we move somewhere? "

Reiji nodded before the duo went toward the study room to deal with the matter once and for all.

[Haru's POV: ]

It was simply impossible for me to leave after having the conversation with Dad so after staying there for the night, I returned early in the morning.

There were classes today and Jinah went to school so that leaves me alone for the time being. I couldn't go to school anymore for obvious reasons and roaming freely in the market was no longer an option either.

Some bastard leaked my picture and now I am a celebrity.

Regardless, now that I have time I thought of doing something with the troublesome girl.

"I want to go out! You left us alone last night without saying anything and today as well, we are still in this shitty apartment room. "

Amanai complained since she and Kuroi have been in the apartment all the time when I was out. And given that they know not a shit about this world, without any source of information about the outside world, it must be pretty frustrating for them.

I have located food supplies for Kuroi so they must have already eaten but I have to do something about their clothes and other things.

Her household would not be arranged here since she would be more comfortable living in Japan. I have already talked about this with Dad and he said he would handle her case. So these two are just guests here for some days.

"Let's go shopping. You wanna come along Kuroi?"

"Ah... I do want to but I have had a severe headache since morning."

I raised my brows before handing her the medical box. I didn't know which was the medicine for headaches but the way she sorted it out signified how knowledgeable the maid was.

"Shopping...but do you have the money? I am quite picky when it comes to clothes."

Truth be told I have enough money in my account that I could buy a whole mall but well, no benefit in boasting here.

"It won't be a problem until you don't run off on your own when we go out. "

"Hey! What do you take me for?! "

"A loud kid with a funny dialect?"

"This is how I usually talk! If you have a complaint, don't listen, hmph! "

Suddenly, hearing her argument I was reminded of the sister I never had and nor I ever wished for...

"Why the mask?"Amanai asked as we made our way toward the nearest mall.

I could have just flown there while carrying her but considering how she must be feeling caged up I decided to take a stroll for now.

"I am a criminal with several charges."

I joked to which she scoffed. For someone who has seen my strength, she really wasn't taking me seriously at all. Well, whatever.

"What's with those weird costumes? Are they cosplayers? "

Amanai asked while pointing her thumb toward a group of low-ranking hunters who were heading somewhere.

"They are the hunters I told you about yesterday. These people fight against the monsters and save humanity."

I have given her and Kuroi a basic outline of this world and how it works. The rest of her knowledge would be for her to gather once she settles down in Japan.

On the way, Amanai asked various things related to whatever she came across. She truly seemed like a child who was curious about anything that shines.

Seeing her blue eyes shine in excitement and elation, a smile also stretched my lips as we made our way inside the mall.

Fortunately, no one recognized me since my face was practically covered and my presence was low to the bare minimum for even a high-ranking hunter to notice.

The first place we went was of course the lady's clothing department but the problem arose from the fact that the first area just after entering the shop was the undergarment section.

I looked toward Amanai and saw the deep blush making its way toward her cheeks. I was about to flick her forehead and ask her to shop by herself from here on when suddenly a very familiar voice resounded from my back...

"Haru...? "
