128 Chapter 122- Fifth Floor: Adapting

Haru was on the verge of losing his hope of winning this battle. He felt that nothing against his adversary would allow him to shape the battle in his way. The thought of never being able to see Jinah again.

The cluster of these overwhelming thoughts and emotions weighed down on his consciousness and in desperation, Haru broke his limiters.

A limiter is generally put on people to limit their powers or skills in case they are too dangerous to allow full reign. However, Haru's limiters preserved his humanity. The sole hope of Haru living a normal life was to set limits on his powers and not allow him to experience his real self.

However, this Fifth Flood of Divination and the foe Haru was facing, turned out to be formidable enough to push Haru to the edge.

And when pushed into a corner, any being would come over their limits and rise above their potential.

"Gojo-sensei?!" The one to finally breathe some words in the form of shock was Yuji as everyone looked intently at the screen where the battle had taken a new form.

Gojo's face was morphed into a frown as well, signifying that he was in the same boat as others on this matter.

Just now, the two shikigami Sukuna used on the boy suddenly evaporated like they were made out of foam and Haru flamed them to death.

Although the people sitting in the surveillance room should have been happy about this outcome, their relief only remained until they didn't see the 'thing', Haru had metamorphosed into.

The aura and the features that the current Haru wore could be easily regarded as,

"...demon." Kusakabe's eyes were slightly widened and lips apart in disbelief.

The aura that Haru was radiating could be felt by many present here, especially by the Six Eyes possessor.

Gojo, who doesn't need the screen to identify the changes in Haru, seemed concerned more than surprised.

"...the sure hit effect of the domain is no longer working on him." Panda had the same reaction as others as he pointed out something extremely crucial about this new version of Haru.

"Is it some kind of anti-domain he chanted around him?" Hana tilted her head at that question.

"Most unlikely. I never saw him chanting nor does it seem any collision between the domain effect and the domain barrier....this...this is something more brute and profound." Yuta stated in a heavy tone.

Mei Mei had the same opinion and so did Gojo.

Suddenly, every gaze turned toward Gojo who suddenly got up from his seat.

"I am going to have a look. No one is allowed to follow me."

When it's a fun-loving Gojo, then anyone can deal with him easily. However, when he turns serious, no one in the sorcery world wants to go against his decisions.

Under varying gazes of others, Gojo disappeared from the room.

When Mahoraga was summoned, the only command Sukuna provided was to delay the enemy from reaching him.

For some reason, Sukuna had a feeling that before Mahoraga could adapt to Haru's technique, this battle would be already over.

Standing facing the Divine General was the seventeen-year-old teenager. His eyes were devoid of any emotion and his body posture didn't signify any alertness, even though he was standing in front of the strongest Shikigami.

"Grrr!" The behemoth raised his left arm with the Sword of Extermination glinting dangerously and ready to slash any kind of Cursed Technique thanks to the positive energy the blade is coated with.

Haru didn't move and allowed the blade to land on his shoulder.

*DOOOOM*

The collision sounded like a steel rod clashing against a metal pipe.

The blade of extermination which even the King of Curses found bothersome, left nothing but a scratch on Haru's shoulder.

Mahoraga gritted its teeth as it tried to push the blade into the human's flesh through brute force. However, not only the blade didn't dig into Haru's skin, but his balance also didn't waver even though Haru was levitating in front of Mahoraga.

Haru turned his head toward his left from where he sensed a strong presence but he soon turned his face back to Mahoraga.

Tilting his head, Haru 'willed' for the behemoth to get distributed into several pieces and following his command,

"GRUKK?!" The Divine General experienced a similar sensation which it felt against his current commander.

Its body was slashed from several corners and its head was falling to the left.

At that precise moment, the wheel over Mahoraga's head moved and its body reverted to its original state.

Witnessing the sight, Haru reacted for the first time after his transformation.

A smirk, to be precise, lifted the edges of his lips.

Now this was something fun.

"Hmm?"

Jinah suddenly woke up from her slumber as she felt the cold wind hitting her face.

Lifting her head she found the window of the room was ajar and the cold wind of November was quite harsh to experience.

Her gaze traveled toward Haru before she extended her hand and caressed his head. Draping him with the blanket she got up from the chair and approached the window.

"Haah...I wonder if it will snow soon..." November was about to end and the temperature had lowered to zero.

Her mother and father were in Korea. Her brother travels regularly to Japan to meet her. The situation with dungeons was quite stable now and the world seemed to be regaining the peacefulness they were used to.

Many things have improved and changed...however, one thing remained the same for the past two months.

Haru has yet to wake up.

When she breaks down, her Oppa consoles her and tells her that Haru will wake up one day...but slowly Jinah is losing all her hope.

Although Haru seems fine...until he doesn't open his eyes and embrace her, Jinah wouldn't feel relief.

Holding the cold windowsill, she felt the hot droplets of her tears falling on her knuckles as she sobbed silently.

'Haru...return to me...I beg you...please...'

Amidst the silence, suddenly Jinah heard a sound in her head,

Before Jinah could even read the letters appearing in front of her eyes completely, her vision turned entirely white...and the next moment, she disappeared
