Talkative Statue

AN: Hey, Hey, Hey! I'm back! Sort of, anyway, all that matters is that I can type well enough. Enjoy today's chapter.

_______________

"Yeah, well, I missed the part where that's my problem." Disguised, Kara said with a shrug. Well, it's true. However, a rather jock-looking man couldn't stand it anymore.

"Dammit! I can't stand this anymore," he said as he pushed the woman aside who asked Kara for help earlier. "You guys are all spouting nonsense! It was a mistake to even come here in the first place! I'M LEAVING!"

As he moved away from the group, he shouted, "The boss, treasures, whatever! You guys can take it. Good Luck!" Saying his last, he was just about to place his hand on the handle of the exit.

"STOP! DON'T PUT YOUR HANDS ON THE HANDLE!" Mr. Song yelled with all his might, trying to warn the young adult. But alas, it was too late.

*SKKT!*

Like a blitz of fury, the stone statue that shaped to be a demonic-looking knight swatted the man with its mace, painting the exit red with the man's insides.

*SPLAT!*

When the statue finished killing the man, it returned to its earlier position. Though, fresh blood still dripped from the door and knight's mace.

Everything was such an instance that no one saw it move, well, except for our so-called "Miss. Park"

'Well, they aren't really fast, I think? Oh, well' Kara shrugged and stealthily became invisible and already positioned behind the Architect.

Fast forward some killing and dismembering of limbs later.

'Are the scenes done yet?' Kara lazily looked at Hunters getting played by the Architect. However, when she looked, statues were just about to pierce Jin-Woo like a thick man in prison for the clapping.

'Finally, the necessary people have already left. I always wondered what this scene looked like when he blanked out.'

"KEEEUUK!" The statue pierced Jin-Woo's abdomen, a critical wound. 'Damn, that's has got to hurt,' Kara thought as she leisurely watched Jin-Woo fall at the middle of the altar.

As he got planted there, the other stone statues walked towards him with their weapons drawn, ready to hack at him.

And right as when a saber was about to slash him in half, everything stopped. 'Ho? Time magic? It certainly is time magic, but its effects are only within Jin-Woo's approximate area.'

At this point, Kara was studying the opponent's usage of time magic, even if it's on a miniature scale.

However, suddenly, a golden light emerged from Jin-Woo's body and started enveloping the room.

The next thing that Kara felt next was the fluctuations in space. 'The Architect rigidly used it with no subtlety. Come on, have some shame. Even if no one is watching!'

As soon as the light died down, Jin-Woo and the alter disappeared, leaving the statues in their place.

'Finally! But, let's see first what Mr. Architect does.' Kara thought; she didn't want to underestimate a mage that's thousands of years old after all.

The Architect, who has been holding a stone tablet all this time, suddenly moved. He waved his hand and sent an invisible mana pattern to all the statues.

As the statues received the invisible order, they marched back to their original positions.

'Huh, a mana pattern to control them, quite neat. Anyway, it's showtime!'

Walking out in the open while still invisible, she positioned herself in the middle of everything and summoned Enkidu into her hands.

"What should I say as my entrance? Arh! Aela was always good with these. I wonder what would she say?" Kara mumbled softly, just enough for her ears to hear.

'Ah! I know what she would say.'

Spinning the chain like a lasso, she tossed it over the Architect's head and ensnared his neck.

With his neck chained up, Kara yanked hard and pulled with all her might. She ended up leaving the momentum to the knee caps of the giant statue.

*Crack!*

*BOOM!*

"Bitch! I'm here!" Kara shouted words that Aela usually uses. Yes, Aela has such colorful phrases that Laura became tired of all the punishments she had given already.

For the Architect who crashed into the kneecaps of the Absolute being's statue, he got ROCKED.

Shaking his head to remove the dizziness, he slowly stood with his face showing all evidence of anger, pointing at Kara's appearance.

"H-HOW IS ONE HERE!? AND YOU DARE CALL ME, A MORTAL DOG!?" Frankly, he was livid. "AND WHO ARE YOU!? I don't recall a human as strong as you!"

"Ah! Where are my manners! I'm Kara White. Not a pleasure seeing you, though." as Kara introduced herself, she undid her disguise as well.

"I-IT'S YOU! The leader of that floating tree!" he said while furiously pointing with his wings and finger. "Yes, it's me! The person you kept spying on has come to take your life! And knowledge. (whisper)"

"You! Kill me!? HAHAHA! I'm afraid-! ZAP!"

*BANG!*

A thunderbolt as thick as oatmeal struck him right on the face, leaving scorched earth on his face.

"You talk too much," Kara said nonchalantly and fired another series of lightning bolts. However, the Architect was ready for them.

The wings on his back transform into six arms and grab the lightning bolts directly, earning an eyebrow from Kara.

"Surprise? I, the Architect, created the system. Grabbing hold of elemental ma-BOOM!" right in the middle of his speech, a piece of iron slab smashed onto his face.

"As I said, you talk too much," Kara began hurling stone slabs and transmuting them as Kara tossed it across the room.

"You rock-types are weak against steel, ground, and more. Well, have some iron, will you!?"

*WOOSH!*

*WOOSH!*

*WOOSH!*

Without suspense, the Architect caught them readily. However, he simultaneously sends an invisible order to his golems to start attacking Kara as well.

*Boom*

*Boom*

*Boom*

The heavy steps of numerous statues overwhelmed the room, each step like a cannon. *BEAM!* And, of course, how can Kara forget the big guy with powerful lasers?

"*Flick* I got my help too, y'know?" with a flick of her fingers, a rather large dragon was summoned.

"Hey there, Aerys! Mind joining me in a fight?" Kara said with a wave.

"You ju-!", "Great! Deal with the others. I'll deal with eight arms!" Kara didn't give Aerys time to respond and just went for the attack almost immediately, leaving Aerys to fend for itself.

'Tsk! And I was having a quiet nap on the tree too!' Aerys grumpily thought. The Dragon looked around, already surrounded by different statues.

However, what intimidated him the most was the massive statue with glowing orange eyes that seemed to charge up for an attack.

"Bastard, better wipe the smile off your face. [Yol Toor Shul]!" Once Aerys delivered his own attack, the massive statue did so too.

A massive laser or the Thu'um that carries the breath of the Sun, both attacks displayed such weight behind them.

With speed and precision, the laser struck the Thu'um. However, it wasn't pushed back or halved in the slightest. In fact, the breath of Aerys was still going strong.

Without needing to give power to his shout constantly, Aerys took the opportunity and launched his attacks.

With scales and muscles harder than steel, each swipe and slash from his limbs were cracking at the big guy's stone body with ease.

With Aerys disrupting the giant, the giant's attack was disturbed and allowed Aerys' earlier shout to go through!

*BOOOM!*

*RUMBLE!*

With Aerys Thu'um being able to hit, it released a point-blank explosion causing the statue to tip over unbalanced.

*CRASH!*

Meanwhile, Kara is standing-off against the Architect while rubble gets thrown at them constantly.

"Nice arms. Though with that amount, you might as well fist yourself." Kara wanted to get a rise out of the guy; she wanted to see if all he had was physical prowess.

"Kekeke, you'll find my fists lodged deep into your body! Then I'll scatter your insides like toys!" the Architect's frown was getting more narrow by the talk, and when he was reaching his breaking point, he snapped!

*Woosh!*

He disappeared in the blink of an eye, and with instincts made for battle, Kara unfurled all six of her wings and covered herself like a shield!

Yes, Kara managed to unfurl her sixth wing on her 20th birthday.

Anyway, *CLANG!*

Eight heavy fists came hammering down at the wings of Kara that got reinforced with magic. With reinforcement, they were stronger than steel plates!

"Haha... HAHA! HAHAHA! How do you like it now!? Too weak to even fight back!?" the Architect felt powerful, even if the fight had just begun.

"Look behind you."

"Very well, I will play your game!" As he looked behind playfully, he was struck hard by a hammer made of mana. Square in the chest!

"KUEK!"

The strike sent the eight-armed statue flying across the room!

"If you had wings, you could've flown! Talkative statue."
