Let's Play

Standing from the rubble, the Architect looked disheveled, like a vandalized monument paraded across a rioting movement.

"I've been thinking; your body can't wield magic, right?" Kara said as she stood still while Aerys was fighting in the background.

"No-Non-sense!" In a fit of anger, he fiercely waved his arm. And violently used Ruler's Authority while at it!

The rubble surrounding him levitated off the ground and was shot right at Kara's location. However, they smashed themselves to dust by colliding with a barrier of Kara's creation.

*BOOSH!*

"You asked the Shadow Monarch for an undying body. And yet the body is unfit for magic, only the study, am I right?" At this point, Kara had a shit-eating grin on her face.

The Architect didn't respond; it seems Kara's argument was sound, a perfect nail on the coffin.

"Anyway, let's finish this, shall we? I have been holding back quite considerably," as she finished her statement, a multitude of magic circles revealed themselves.

*Shines!*

Looking at the scene before him, the Architect couldn't help but gawk at Kara's doing. "Im-Impossible! Th-this shouldn't be possible from a mortal's body! IMPOSSIBLE!"

"Well, of course, it isn't possible! I'm not mortal in the first place." With all the talking, Kara managed to finish every spell without interruption.

[Aerys, it going to explode, you should become ethereal for now.] mentally communicated Kara. Shouting out the plans would be counteractive.

With a nod as acknowledgment, Aerys shouted and became ethereal, [FEIM ZII GRON]!

'As for me, a quick teleportation should do the trick!'

And within a blink of an eye, Kara appeared right beside Aela, who is currently raiding her own dungeon.

Because of Kara's sudden appearance, Aela mistook Kara for an enemy and sent a sweeping leg kick aiming for Kara's head.

Fortunately, Kara received it with ease, using her hand to grab the attack. Anyone else would have ruptured their forearm, halting its momentum.

"B-Big Sis!? What are you doing here?" Aela said as she just realized who she attacked.

Aela was raiding a High-Orcs dungeon, and the people accompanying her were rookie members of the Scavengers' Guild.

Aela's role can both be attacking and tank, considering her specialty of magic is just so versatile. Her masterful usage of barrier magic has the best support type Hunter, Yuri Orloff, wanting to be taught under her.

Anyway, Kara shrugged the dust caused by the attack and casually waved it off. "I was escaping an explosive spell that I just created, and I thought, why not visit Aela while I wait the seconds."

"That's sweet, but I'm showing the rookie hunters how to kill High-Orcs efficiently," Aela said while running beside an orc and slicing off its tendons, killing the orc's movement.

Kara, seeing this blitz to the immobilized orc and slashed its neck, swiftly killing it. "And that's how you kill an Orc; good thing you got the message of me not instantly killing it," Aela said as she walked to Kara's side.

"Oh, please. We grew up together. How can I not understand when I was the one who taught you?"

"I guess, anyway, will you be home for dinner?" Aela asked while pushing a barrier and crushing an orc in between the barrier spell and walls of the dungeon.

"I'll be home for dinner, anyway, got to go!" And just like a breeze, the world's number one Hunter just left.

"*Whistle* That's the Winged Catastrophe for you."

"Yeah, the sisters just toyed and talked while killing the High-Orcs. That's something."

"*CLAP!* Alright, enough chatter, did you guys understand the move Kara and I just pulled off?"

"U-Uhm, it was too fast..."

"*Sigh*."

On Kara's side, all the statues got obliterated to dust.

"Damn, that spell sure did a number on these statues, *whistle*," Kara said as she walked on debris. "Who knows if these are the guts of statues."

*Rumble*

Rising from the piles of debris was a white dragon, "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!? EVEN WHEN I WAS ETHEREAL, I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO DIE!"

Who else but Aerys?

"Oh, hey!"

"Don't 'Oh, hey!' me! I'm asking, what on Earth that spell was!?" He was livid from Kara's spell.

"It's called material burst. I distracted the Architect with chatter, trying to find the perfect speck of dust to use and convert it to energy. Amazing, right!?"

"Amazing... Amazing, my ass! Next time take me with you!" Aerys harrumphed. Kara could only scratch the back of her head embarrassingly.

"Anyway, [LAAS YAH NIR]. Oh, the bastard is still alive!" Aerys pointed out after using [Aura Whisper].

However, it was evident that Kara wasn't surprised by the news. "Why do you think I was finding for the perfect speck of dust? Anything bigger would've sent him to eternal rest already."

Aerys didn't say anything but nod; he removed the debris covering the Architect, revealing the Architect's light bluish head.

"Well, hello there." Kara said with a smile, "Perks of an immortal stone body is that you don't need a body to live, just the head is fine.

"Negatives of an immortal stone body is that you don't need a body to live. Anyway, we will do this my way, okay?"

Kara had an array of mental magic prepared. Kara prepared it just in case the Architect is a stubborn one.

"Now, where's the control for the system? I know you know it."

The Architect, hearing this twitched, "I-I do not know of such thing."

"Sigh, and this could've been easier. Aerys, use [Soul Tear] on him." Kara ordered. Nothing scares a mage more than their soul getting damaged.

Aerys didn't say anything but shouted at the fellow, [RII VAAS ZOL]!

*WOOSH!*

a When the Thu'um touched the Architect, he felt a fierce and hurtful pull within the dept of his soul. Almost like a goblin was shredding at his lungs.

"ACRKKKKKKK!" the Architect wretched in pain. As he was just a head, his expressions were the only thing he could move around.

"Well? Will you cough up the control, or will you remain stubborn?" Kara's voice was as casual can be.

The Architect didn't say anything, forcing Kara's hand once again. "Welp, I warned you. Aerys, be a darling, will you?"

"W-Wait!" the Architect pleaded, probably has made up his mind.

However, Aerys only nodded and shouted again, [RII VAAS ZOL]!

"UUUEARKKKK!" his voice echoed across the ruined temple. "N-No more..."

"What's that?" Kara leaned forward in a mocking gesture, "I-I said NO MORE! I'll give it! I'll give it!"

Moments later, the purple gemstone on his forehead levitated and floated towards Kara. "T-this is the controller of the system, now, please just let me go."

He sounded almost so pitiful, but alas, you shouldn't look miserable in front of Kara.

Kara, giving it a scan, saw that there was no harmful backdoor or anything of the sort. Just a clean control system.

"Perfect. Now you can go die without a soul."

"What?"

[RII VAAS ZOL], and for the last time, Aerys shouted at his already fragile soul, shattering it.

"Aukk!"

"Thanks, Aerys. Anyway, let's try this gem, shall we?" Kara fitted the gem onto her forehead, and immediately after, she could see Jin-Woo sleeping in the hospital.

"Hah, let's play, shall we?"
