Baldwin Walker, your everyday normal co-worker working in a huge animation Industry with average looks.
Today, like always, he was sitting at his desk. But, today something was different about him. Unlike his regular boring atmosphere. Today, Baldwin was humming happily while he did his graphic animation.
'Haha! I didn't think so. We could get the contract for the anime adaptation of Solo Levelling! and I was even given the task of making a graphic animation of SL.' Baldwin laughed, he was a huge die-hard fan of SL, be it webnovel or webtoon he loved it all.
And today, this die-hard fan was getting the opportunity to create the animation of SL. How could he not be happy?
"Woo-ohh~ I like it, I like the way you move." Baldwin sang, while his colleagues chuckled at his terrible singing.

Soon, It was 9:00 pm. Everyone began to pack their stuff preparing to return home.
*Thuk! Thuk!
"Hey, Baldwin. Wanna leave together, man?" one of Baldwin's friends asked, while Baldwin looked at the watch on his wrist.
"Nah, man. I am good, I will be working a little more. You can leave without me." Baldwin said.
"Come on, Let's go man. We are planning to visit a bar today... you know." Baldwin's friends insisted, while Baldwin gestured to leave without him.
Soon, His friends left after a few rejection.
Looking at his friends leaving back, Baldwin spoke to himself.
"Being a SL fan, I must make the best animation for SL. So, my fellow SL fans won't be disappointed with the anime adaptation of SL."
Then once again, he began to continue doing his graphic animating.
Soon, Baldwin watched the clock hit 11:00 pm.
"Ughh! Damn! Episode 1 is completed." Baldwin said, stretching his arms.
When, he was surprised seeing the time on his watch.
"I need to get going, thank god I am not married and won't have a wife nagging me for arriving home late." Baldwin said, while he consoled himself.
Soon, packing his stuff and locking the office. He left the office building.
'I guess, I will take alleyway. It will be a shortcut to my house.'

Walking in the dark alleyway, Baldwin was getting nervous and scared.
The entire alleyway was creepily quiet, he didn't know this bustling alleyway in day. Could turn into a graveyard-type silence at night.
*Tap! Tap!
Each step taken by Baldwin echoed in the air. He quickly pacing up his steps. He soon came to regret choosing a shortcut over the normal path.
"Haa... Huff..." walking quickly, Baldwin walked in the dark alleyway.
"Arghh! Sa.. Save me!" when a scream sounded, choosing to ignore the scream.
Baldwin began to move faster in the opposite direction of the scream, he didn't have time to play hero. He was already creeped out by the dark alleyway. Now, he suddenly heard a plea for help.
He wasn't an idiot to go there, So he chose to walk over the opposite direction from the scream.
When Baldwin felt something poking his back, warm-like liquid poured down from his poked spot. While, bringing his hand backward to the poke spot. He felt his hand soaked.
Bringing his hand to his front, he suddenly screamed.
"Arghh!" Baldwin fell to the ground, his hand trembling. His hand soaked in his own blood!
"Ughh!" Baldwin rumbled down his back, turning his head around.
He then saw a hooded man standing right behind him.
The hooded man was one head taller than Baldwin, as he couldn't see the face under the hood.
The hooded man carried a bloodied knife in his hand.
"Did you hear the scream?" the hooded person asked.
"No.. argh! I didn't! Leave me alone!" Baldwin said, his body twitching with pain from getting stabbed by the knife.
"Then why did you run in the opposite direction of the scream?" asked the hooded man seriously.
"No..! Ple.. Please, I won't tell anyone about you! argh! Huff..! I won't." Baldwin tried to negotiate, his breathing turning heavier.
"If I kill you here, Why would I even need to worry about you telling anything? hehe" laughed the hooded man, playing with his knife.
"Huff.. Huff.. Leave me! I won't tell anything." Baldwin repeated his word, he tried crawling away from the hooded person. He knew he couldn't escape, but trying is still better than doing nothing.
"Cheh! I was here to kill him, Didn't think I could get a witness. Sorry mate, It's a
rule. Have to kill anyone who witnessed or hears our job." said the hooded man, he stabbed Baldwin in his heart.
"Uuuugh..! Guahh!" Alard screamed in pain, he could feel his breathing getting slower by each second. When, he tried taking deep breath his body didn't allowing it in.
"Am I dying..? Wh..what have I ever done wrong?" Baldwin asked to himself, he still trying to crawl away from the murderer.
"Haa..! Haa..!" Baldwin could feel his entire body turning cold, he felt like a thousand needles stabbing him. His vision and senses soon gave up on him.
Soon, Baldwin stopped breathing. He died.
(A/N: No plot armour to save him :(.)
*Tut! Tut!
"Hello?" a male voice sounded from the phone, the hooded man carried.
"Boss, I had a witness when I was doing my job. So, I had to kill him. What should I do with the extra weight." the hooded person asked.
"Just bring both bodies to the base! One more body won't do anything."
"But, I am the only boss. How can I carry two?"
"Huh?! You have two shoulders! carry one in each! I am not raising you bastards for free! Do the work worth your price!" shouted the voice from the phone.
"Ye..Yes, boss!"

(A/N: Any good name suggestions for MC? If I found any nice names. I don't mind changing MC names.)
'Huff... Huff..? what..? I can breathe again?' I began to struggle in the soft cushion that wrapped me, a quilt-like thing wrapping me up.
'What is happening? I am sure I died? How can I breathe again?' I asked, turning my uncomfortable head. I looked around my vicinity. It was a dark place, observing more. I realised I was in a dark cave.
'Why am I here?' I was neither in the alleyway where I was stabbed . Or, In the hospital.
"Grrr..? Grrr..!" trying to speak, I mistakenly growled?
What happened to my voice? Why can't I speak?
"Grrrw... Gra...?" I questioned, when a light illuminated the dark cave. Trying to look toward the light.
I unconsciously raised my hand to block the light from affecting my vision.
Soon, lowering my hand. I looked forward, to see what exactly was infront of me.
While, I couldn't help but scream, what stood infront of me.
"Grrrahhh!'' The thing that was infront of me was a grotesque dwarf-like monster, with child-like physiques, green skin, sharp ears and teeth, and glowing red eyes.
"Gurugu.. Guguugu (Is he my son?)" the supposed leader of the monsters spoke, turning to his subordinates.
"Gugu.. gaga (yes, chieftain.)" his subordinate said, while they began talking with each other.
When I finally saw my whole body, because of darkness. I couldn't check it before, but now I can see it clearly.
My normal human skin had turned into sticky green, my normal finger replaced with spiky claws, while I had three toe fingers instead of normal five.
'Wh..what?' I was in disbelief, observing my body closely.
'This features? Have I turned into a goblin?' I thought, while probably the creatures infront of me were also the same kind. When a blue screen popped right infront of me.

'What? Is this a legendary system?' I thought, when another screen popped in the air, those foreign monsters by my side didn't seem to notice or see these pop ups.

'Strongest Dungeon Boss..? what does that mean?' I raised a question.

'Um um, So how do you increase this Authority over Evolution System?' I questioned, to unlock other functions. I have to increase my authority over this Evolution System.

'Okay, Okay. Then, open my stats for now ' I asked, while soon a holographic screen popped right in front of me.
