Disrespect

'I wonder how strong the Sword Saint is. His sword skills should at least be better than Cha Hae-in right?'

As he thought of this and that, the car stopped before he realised it.

"We need to walk up from here on," the chauffeur said.

"…That's pretty high. How long do you think it'll take before we reach the top?"

"At least 2 hours."

Perseus sighed as he got out of the car.

His Royal Guards lined up around him. They wore black suits and sunglasses, giving off a great sense of pressure.

The Royal Guards were not affiliated with the Scavenger Guild in any way. They were his personal guards that he had personally trained over the years. Not even Thomas Andre had command over them. As of now, he had 22 Royal Guards. They were split into 2 squadrons, the Azure Dragon Squad and the Black Dragon Squad. Each Squad was led by an S Rank Hunter and the rest of the Squad were A+ Rank Hunters.

A/N: 1 S Rank Squad Captain + 10 A+ Rank Members = 1 squad

2 squad = 22 members

The Royal Guards had a great sense of fervent loyalty towards Perseus. It was because he gave them preferential treatment.

The first part of said preferential treatment was, as expected, the high-paying annual income; the second was welfare, and the third was because Perseus actually treated them like human beings instead of meat shields whose only worth was to protect him.

To them, Perseus was a good man and they didn't mind serving a man able to fly the distance.

The Cha Clan residence was located at the heart of the mountain, the entirety of it belonged to the Cha Clan. Moreover, it was widely known as the Serene Peak Sword Mountain.

The entrance to the mountain was guarded by Cha Clan Members. Perhaps they came prepared to greet Perseus when they sensed the change in mana wavelength. The number of people at the entrance fits such a scenario.

They were dressed in the antique attire representing the Cha Clan. It resembled a hanbok, but more refined and dignified.

'It's mixed with the history of martial arts.'

At that moment, a middle-aged man approached Perseus. His physique was robust, exuding a well-fitted overall impression; though his eyes did radiate arrogance.

He looked at Perseus, examining him and Perseus returned his gaze, finding the middle-aged man's gaze very unpleasant.

The middle-aged man bowed his head slightly.

"A pleasure to meet you. I'm the Head of Security, Cha Min-gun of the Cha Clan Sword Sect. I'll be leading you to the clan's residence."

"Alright."

The Cha Clan was also known as the Cha Clan Sword Sect, and referring to them as such demonstrated a higher sense of respect towards the family.

The head of security of the Cha Clan Sword Sect was the sole person responsible for guarding the sect.

"You came in with a fine-fitting outside. Will you be okay? Should we bring out a palanquin for you?" asked Cha Min-gun. (MC was wearing a suit)

His tone was… fairly twisted.

Perseus immediately understood the underlying meaning of the middle-aged man's words.

…But he came as a guest.

As his expression hardened, James Miller-captain of the Azure Dragon Squad stepped forward.

"Then please prepare the best palanquin you have."

"…What?"

"Did you not mention it? Though, for your reference, we won't give it a moment's look if it isn't a palanquin made of lumber and cotton that came from inside the Gate."

At James' words, Cha Min-gun became speechless.

The same was true for the disciples of the Cha Clan Sword Sect who stood near him.

James Miller looked straight at Cha Min-gun, his gaze bloodthirsty and harsh.

Cha Min-gun did not falter under the intense pressure, though the disciples around him took a few steps back.

"How long will it take?" James Miller asked coldly.

"Ahem… It was merely a joke."

"I, however, am not joking. You seem to have forgotten the person standing before your very own eyes."

Perseus Andre.

No other descriptions or modifiers were needed outside of his name.

At that moment, Cha Min-gun realised how big of a mistake he had made.

No matter how great the Cha Clan Sword Sect was, they could not compare to the Scavenger Guild.

Should the Scavenger Guild will it to happen, the Cha Clan Sword Sect will likely crumble, its existence fading to oblivion. At the end of the day, no matter how strong Sword Saint Cha is, a family sect can never stand up to a global behemoth like the Scavenger Guild. Perhaps, by slowly driving the Cha Clan to the brink of death, that will be the cruellest form of punishment.

When Perseus made a slight gesture, James Miller stepped back behind him and acted as if nothing had happened.

"I'm considering going back."

At Perseus' words, Cha Min-gun became startled and looked towards him.

"I made a slip of the tongue… I sincerely apologise."

Cha Min-gun bowed humbly. His stiff waist bent at a 90 degree angle. He didn't straighten his back until Perseus spoke to him.

"I won't be so forgiving the next time. Keep that in mind."

Cha Min-gun managed to straighten his back slightly after hearing Perseus' words.

"Ahem… I understand. Then I shall guide you in."

He began to guide the way.

Perseus glanced towards James and patted his shoulder. James smiled and nodded his head in response.

Cha Min-gun's arrogant gaze had disappeared almost completely, but the disciples of the Cha Clan Sword Sect were in the mood to have a staring contest with Perseus' bodyguards.

The stairs were completely white, yet they didn't have even a single speck of dust on them.
