2 THE WORLD!!(TIME STOP!!)

Year 2115

A young man with black hair and grey eyes could be seen lying in a gloomy room with the noise of an air filter going on in the background.

The room looked quite cozy and expensive for the world it was situated in. The young man lying on the bed suddenly opened his eyes and woke.

I woke up in an unfamiliar room, my memories were a bit hazy but scanning my surroundings I recognized what transpired before wasn't some sort of hallucination or dream excitidely got out and looked around the room. I found my way in front of a mirror. Looking, I saw a very recognizable face staring back at me.

After looking at my new body for a while I get familiar with it. When I turn around I see a ebony table with a candle and a paper slip on top of it.

The strange thing was that the flame of the candle was purple. I go up to the table and read the content of the slip.

Reading the upper part I smiled a little but after reading the last part made me frown. I started to think this was a scam. Then I remembered that most people would kill to get this chance so, I stopped being a crybaby about it and quickly burned it and lay down in case I got knocked out by the sudden wave of unfamiliar memories.

I waited for a while but with no success, I thought that the memories might try to knock me off guard, and as if reading my thoughts the memories flooded in.

I saw everything like a movie with each moment feeling familiar and completely out of place at the same time. I saw how it was to grow up without a father in a polluted world with jobs being almost indistinguishable from their 18th-century counterparts in Russia.

I saw the struggle my 'mother' had to go through to raise me and my 'sister'. I saw how I didn't like to study much and decided to be a gaming Z-tuber, how I reached success I also apparently got betrayed by my friends which reduced the number of my subscribers but it's still pretty large.

So the summary of Sung Jin-Woo and his entire family is:-

His mother and father are a completely healthy pair of humans and great parents who provided all the necessities for their children and allowed them to pursue their goals after making sure they knew about the risks they were taking while doing so. My sister and I both went out of Korea while my parents stayed there. My sister unlike me became a democratic leader. We still contact each other often and are living a great life despite the state of the world. Unlike the cannon Sunj Jin-Woo, this version lived an amazing life.

After laying still for a while I finished assimilating all the memories. I got back up and immediately went inside the bathroom to take a shower while I thought about my new goals.

I knew this world was going to be bad from the description I read before but I still underestimated my circumstances.

"First thing is I need to get a specific version of a DVRM headset. The second thing is I need to get as OP as I can get in Yggdrasil because if it wasn't hard enough I have a new set of problems to deal with."

Well, the other thing is that the atmosphere is depressing, there are no sight of trees or any natural plants or animals in sight but if you are talking about cockroaches and rats they are here in Millians. The food here is just BAD that's all I can say. Most food people eat is artificially made and barely any nutrients are in it.

The prices of "organic" vegetables and fruits are high like Mount Fujij and even if you somehow have the bright idea to spend all that money to buy them....they still taste like garbage. People say they are "healthier" than their artificial counterparts and they still weren't half as tasty or nutritious as the ones in my previous life. Just goes to show how terrible this world is.

Crime rates are sky-high. The world's justice system is corrupted more than the internet The last thing that is not being able to go outside without wearing a mask with an oxygen tank.

So I and the previous me with our similar brilliant minds decided not to go outside at all. Good thinking previous me.

"Well, at least the good thing is that the previous me was a pretty popular Z-tuber(Also a very original name) with many subscribers and my specialty is..a pro gamer with a lot of gaming experience.

"I also have a ton of money saved up for some reason, not that I am complaining about it. Gacha items just wait for me!"

I get out of the shower and dry myself I put on a pair of black boxers and a sweatshirt. I pick up my phone and see the time.

//5.P.M-30 Dec-2124//

The legendary year that will mark the beginning of a new era the era of Yggdrasil was very close and I still had to get prepared.

I got on my computer and did some research about it. After a while, I saw the launch date had just recently been announced. Yggdrasil would be released on the 1st of Jan of 2125 at midnight. Pre-orders were available, so without waiting for a single second I quickly bought it along with the DMVR headset I needed.

Seeing that my order had been confirmed and would arrive the next day I relaxed on my chair and thought about what to do to pass the time.

"Maybe I should play some games I have installed."

11:50.P.M-31 Dec-2125

The DMVR headset had arrived by midday and I set it up quickly and installed some other games and apps for a test run. After making sure it was working properly I ate some food forcefully and drank some water before doing some light exercise. Before I knew it it was 11:50 just ten minutes before Yggdrasil's official launch.

I sat on my gaming chair waiting eagerly for it. As soon as it became available I downloaded it. I immediately rushed to my DMVR headset and quickly equipped it. I still think it's crazy that this makes my brain into a supercomputer.

Seeing this I cringe at the password but still say it aloud.

{Nah, I'd win}

Just as I said the world seemed to freeze and lose its color.

"I knew shouldn't have said that. Stupid previous me." (Insert JOJO and Gojo gif here)

The shadows of my room started moving and moved in weird patterns before going back to normal.

"Hello?"

But the room was silent other than the beeping of the various air purifiers and room temperature managing ACs and heaters. This reminded me about how rich I am and I returned my focus to the task at hand

IN ANOTHER DIMENSION

But he didn't reply he couldn't hear me. I have tried to contact him many times but he seemed to be protected by some sort of barrier that prevents me from reaching out to him. I had my eyes on him as a potential vessel but then he had a sudden change in his soul.

He couldn't even be said to be the same human as before. His soul is like he has experienced death but that isn't possible. This must be fate! He is supposed to be my future successor! But even that dammed architect's system couldn't reach him.

About the Architect I should let him know.

"Architect if you don't manage to make this human my vessel then I will take away your immortal body, slay you myself, and make sure your soul is tortured for trying to deceive me!" With that, I waited for a reply which arrived pretty quickly for someone as weak as him.

"Lord Ashborn! Please have some patience! I have tried contacting him many times but it always fails! I don't know the exact reason but it's like he has a energy guardning him. I will be able to come up with a solution to this problem very soon! Please give this servant of yours a little time!"

"Gœ.óõð. 1T Better be qu1ck!"

An energy guarding him, now that he mentioned it does seem very familiar to me, but I don't know exactly where I felt it. Well, it does give me something to think about here in my realm.

BACK TO THE MC

I eventually recovered from my shock and said aloud

"Link Start!!"

I felt a weird sensation go down my body. Just after that, my consciousness is transported to a blueish room with a blue interface. A plethora of music, gaming, and social applications greeted me. Ignoring them I focused solely on Yggdrasil. Using my virtual hand I clicked it and this is where my journey truly began.

Author Note:- Hello dear readers! Sorry for not uploading any chapters for quite a while but let me tell you this. The Overlord verse is very complicated you don't know the amount of research I had to do and will do. I also had to refresh my memory of Solo Leveling.

My final exams also arrived early and I also had to study properly. Depending on my speed. The next chapter might be uploaded today as well. That's all see ya!
