Chapter 14

There was a tense until Ibiki intervened.

Ibiki:"That's enough. Move to training ground 44 immediately."

As we all move out I give her one last glare before walking out.

By the time we got to the training ground, the tension from the incident had already died down.

Anko explained that aim of this phase of the exam is to get to the tower at the other end of the forest. Each team is given either a heaven or earth scroll and they have to get to the tower with both the heaven and earth scroll.

As Anko gives me an earth scroll, she looks around me, as if trying to find something before she finally asked.

Anko:"Where are you teammates?"

Izuna:"I'm a solo team."

I give her an honest answer and see as her widen a bit before I walk past her into the forest.

After entering the forest, I check my scroll. It was an earth scroll. I dropped it in my inventory before making my way further into the forest.

Less than an hour after venturing into the forest, three Iwa genin, two guys and one girl, landed in front of me. I already felt them following me for a while but they weren't strong enough to threaten me so I didn't bother.

Iwa genin:"Your team is really pathetic. Not even a day and their already gone. Hand over your scroll."

I activate my Sharingan, putting one of them in a genjutsu before asking.

Izuna:"Which scroll do you have?"

Iwa genin:"Like hell we'd tel-"

He was interrupted as the other male genin spoke with a dazed expression.

"We have an earth scroll."

I then let out an annoyed sigh befor whispering.

Izuna:"Useless."

The other genin look at their teammate in shock before seeing his dazed expression. It was then that they realized what happened.

Iwa genin:"Genjutsu?!"

Before he could react, I had already dashed passed them, slashing their throat with a kunai.

'I really need to get a kenjutsu teacher. Maybe I can learn from Orochimaru.'

The genins bodies finally fell as I kept moving through he forest.

It's been two hours and I've already be ambushed by four different teams. It wasn't until the fourth one that I finally found a heaven scroll.

As I pick up the scroll to put in my inventory, I see a dirtied kusa nin. I could tell that this was Orochimaru and that he had already fought and bitten Sasuke. Evident by the scruff marks on his clothing.

As I walk past him, we make eye contact and I spoke.

Izuna:"We'll be meeting soon."

As I said that, I dashed straight towards the tower at high speed. As I stood in front of the tower, I brought out and unrolled the heaven and earth scroll simultaneously. This causes a burst of smoke to appear as a random chunin emerges to congratulate me on passing.

As I enter the tower I see Gaara's team already settled. I just ignore them and went to a room to wait out the remaining days of the exam.

On the last day Team 7 finally made it to the tower. They looked like they could faint at any moment.

We were all assembled in front of the Kazekage and Hokage. The other kage didn't attend. A sick looking jonin steps forward to speak.

Hayate:"My name is Hayate Gekko. *cough* Congratulations for completing *cough* the second stage of the exam. Unfortunately, too many people passed the second stage. We will be conducting a set of preliminary matches to reduce the number of people. Those who want to drop out are free to do so."

Once again the genin began to protest. Especially those who just made it to the tower. One by one a few genin plus kabuto had dropped out.

In front of us, there was a screen with each of our names constantly moving, being randomized until it finally stopped on two names.

Uchiha Sasuke vs Yoroi Akado.

They both remain on the stage. The fight happened exactly like in the original except for a few key things. He didn't let himself get touched as much but he still ended up using lee's move which he copied and modified.

The rest of the fights weren't much to look at. I didn't even watch Naruto's fight. Who wants to watch someone win because of a fart.

The next match was Hinata vs Neji. It went the same way, with Neji utterly decimating her.

Sighing I closed my eyes to wait for my match. It wasn't until practically everyone had fought that I realized that my match was going to be the last match of the day.

That put me in a pretty bad mood.

'Whoever I'm facing, I'm sorry but I'm going to vent my anger on you.'

"Uchiha Izuna vs Akita Shin"

'Finally.'

I jump down to the stage with irritation clear on my face. My opponent and I stood a few meters opposite each other. I don't really care to note his features.

"Begin!"

Immediately he said that, my foolish opponent launched himself towards me. Weaving hand seals, I leap backwards into the air dodging his poor attempt at an attack.

He was still in mid air when I finished my hand seals.

'This will shake them up real good.'

"Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction"

Madara's own technique! The audience widened their eyes as a massive stream of intense flames is expelled from my mouth which caught my opponent mid air, incinerating him completely.

The intensity of the flame could be felt by everyone in the arena. When the flames die down all that could seen of my opponent was his ashes which were still surrounded by flames.

The arena was silent as I walk back to my place in the stands with annoyed expression still on my face.

Hayate:"Uchiha Izuna...wins."

As Izuna walked back to the stands, an image of a man with back-length black hair donning red armor appears behind him.

Everyone present or at least those who recognized him only had one thought.

'Uchiha Madara.'
