Questions and Answers

The reincarnate hurries himself up the stairs, having to hold himself back from actually running. He closes the door of his designated room as he falls down against it. he exhales and inhales slowly and heavily as if he had just competed in an athletic sport. 'I'm not death.I'm fine.' He tells himself, trying to compose himself as he unwillingly thinks of what might have been, had he not succeeded. The reincarnate looks in the room, trying to distract himself in an useful manner.

the room is far cleaner and calmer than the downstairs area yet evidently sleep is not the only desire this room has experienced. leftover pieces of clothing and other more products with a far more imaginative use are not uncommon in the room.

The reincarnate scrunches his green emerald-like eyes as his worry was now accompanied by a sense of disgust, still, it seems the room is cleaned to some extent. The sheets are washed and whilst filled with items that suggest more erotic experiences. There are no remaining stains or scents of such experiences remaining at the very least.

'What questions should I ask?' The reincarnated boy asks as he throws himself on the bed. His thoughts quickly wonder to Ashmodai, the devil who owes him this favor. 'he wasn't inexperienced and it seems he did have a reputation in the tavern. Which means he has done something to earn such a thing.' The reincarnate thinks trying to figure out if the "devil of his word" might be more than bargained for. 'I should have fished out some stupid brute. At least I've some tricks to assure my survival for them, but a devil might be tricky. However, a devil and its magic might have tricks that I'm not prepared for.'

"I guess that should be my first question. What should a visitor look out for?" He says out loud before the desire to sleep begins to overwhelm the shade demon. The emerald green eyes close as a less threatening darkness overwhelms him.

The night or whatever one calls it in a realm dependent on a created light and no sun passed by without any intrusion. The first "night", the reincarnate had experienced where he actually decided to sleep. Something he used to do too much when laying in the hospital bed and something which he ceased to do during his passage to this place.

The humanoid looking shade demon rubs his eyes as he stands up, the dark aura still cloaking his body as a way to hide his tethered close and form. Almost as if a kitten begging to be patted, it constantly rubs itself against its wielder's form.

The reincarnate slowly walks downstairs, distracted by the dream that he experienced. It was the same dream that he used to have before in the previous world, or at least that's what he believes. Rather the dream itself was vague in the literal sense of the word. The face were hazy and the dream itself was closer to a fragmented collage of films than something coherent. Himself as a young boy running in the park whilst a hazy figure yet clearer than the other ran after him. The only thing truly clear on her face were her green eyes. She would often mutter, cursing a larger boy sitting at a distant bench with his phone.

Lost in thought, the reincarnate suddenly stand before the gambling devil from the day before. Near subconsciously he had brought himself to his destination. Ashmodai was still seated in the same chair. The belief that he might not have ever left it, was firmly put into the reincarnated's head. The red-skinned devil waits patiently, shuffling cards whilst smoking and so adding to the already smoke and stanched-filled room.

"Good morning, friend." The devil says as if truly greeting a friend even if a smug smile accompanies it.

"You too." The reincarnate responds still dazed. The vagueness of his dream had not yet left him and if given the choice he had slept even a season long. Ashmodai calls for a succubus and requests something called "Demon's rage". One of the working succubi in the tavern ditches the customer she was serving as she goes to fulfill the gambling devil's request. With some heated-up dark brownish liquid in hand, she returns and places it in front of the reincarnate.

"It's a famous beverage to grant someone more energy." Ashmodai says as the reincarnate does not even bother to hide his distrust. "Fulfilling one's desires is a necessity but see that it does not become an indulgence, friend." Ashmodai adds as the reincarnate does not pick up the "Demon's rage".

"Very well, then." The shade demon says before drinking it. 'I should not trust him. However, I just don't feel like... Argh, forget it.' The reincarnate thinks as the brownish liquid had already been consumed before his mind even progressed the risk. Energy soon followed as a feeling resembling a near-sugar rush flows through his body.

'I guess it's a sort of extreme coffee.' He thinks lazily assuming that defining the drink.

"So, can I be of any kind of assistance?" Ashmodai asks as he is now before sits him a functional person.

"I have some questions for you to answer."

"Splendid!" Ashmodai yells with a smile whilst acting again in some theatrical manner, the animated arms and facial expression over the top.

"I'm pretty new here as you might have noticed. Are there those I should avoid?" The reincarnate asks trying to get a bearing on this new city.

"That's a pretty broad question, dear friend. However, I think I understand what you're looking for." Ashmodai says as he changes his posture resembling that of a politician deep in thought. "There will be a lot more than I name, but these are the most famous ones you should look out for." Ashmodai says as he lies down some blank cards.

"Ulthris Kaahen" Ashmodai says as he points to the first blank card. "A lava stone orc who enjoys murdering and squashing anything before him, like anyone of his kin. He's also very large and very durable, like anyone of his kin. You can probably avoid him, considering he doesn't like the chase. Mostly anyway." The devil explains the first figure as the blank card now has the figure of this orc named "Ulthris Kaahen." The devil grabs the card and swallows it, before pointing to the second card.

"The weeping child, a more recent phenomenon. It sounds like a little child crying in an alley. Some succubus and chimera creators thought she would be easy prey. The mangled corpses of these chasers have given the creature with its child-like voice, a strong existence in present rumors. It is widely assumed to be some form of chimera that can only live in the darkness." The second blank card only produces a vague picture of something smaller hiding in the darkness. Before the devil swallows this card as well.

"Sorzana Soquil, the most famous succubus. She likes to make her victims fall in love with her, whilst also breaking their mental fortitude. Afterward, they get the enslavement ritual on them which makes them unable to resist. Most get thrown away which most of the time leads to madness and the rest either die in her service or die by her hands." The third card creates the sight of a beautiful succubus with long black hair and a mysterious deep red eyes with a confident grin on her face.

"Ergillaz Talvit: probably the strongest of the arch devils in the city. He likes to make deals and is known to pay up when he owes you. Unfortunately, the opposite seems to also be the case. If you promise to do something for him, and you fail. Then the consequences will be very dire. He will be the only arch devil I mention since the others are either busy with their own experiments or not in Lucille's Light at the moment." the fourth card conjures another rather attractive figure. A tanned devil wearing a toga with golden eyes buried in golden coins.

"Volathriis: We officially call him a chimera, but he's closer to an abomination. A powerful devil wanted the ultimate mount and threw together a lot of dangerous beasts and even a lesser demon for its intelligence. It did create a powerful beast…. Of course, the devil got immediately killed by his own creation, and since then it just wanders in the abandoned district. It's generally quiet, but you shouldn't try to taunt this bull or any of his kin in the district. You can recognize him fairly quickly. It's the only being with a skeleton head of a hellhound, The manes of a fire lion, the tail of a scorpion, the body of a horse, the legs of a bull and with the wings of a hell wyvern." The last card shows the sight of a mutated beast, unnatural and undoubtedly dangerous. Ashmodai swallows the last card, looking rather proud of himself. He looks as if expecting more.
