07 - Change of Plans

After riding for a while I reached to the palace and asked Joe to take me to the king.
"Sir Axel the king is busy today it's better if you come tomorrow." he said.
"I came to ask about Baros army it won't be long."
"I understand but they are busy so today meeting with them is impossible." he said. "Okay then I will come tomorrow." I said and started riding my horse back. When I reached to the camp Natalie came to me and said.
"My Lord, the Mattel Kingdom decided to make a move on us." she said. I sighed and asked for details.
"Because of the army and coincidence with king's daughter they're seeing you as a threat my lord. The king ordered Charlie to attack us woth the soldiers stationed in the city."
"How many soldiers they have?" I asked looking at her.
"They have an army of 3.000 marching towards us from the vast plain between the forest we stay and the city."I sighed and looked at the sky. This was one of my concern so that's why I placed a few spy inside city.
"Alright alert everyone and start packing up we are going towards them." I said and checked my S.P. and my soldiers.

After a night of rest, most of the soldiers were healed. After few minutes of checking the system I saw everyone got ready before we start moving I called the elite ninjas and told them to steal the explosives. Ten minutes later we reached to the vast plain. While we were moving I saw an army of thousands coming towards us. I gave my soldiers to get into position and started waiting.
After few minutes of waiting I saw the leader of army It was Charlie in full armor. He rode his horse towards us and I started riding towards him. We stopped few meters away from each other. I looked at him and asked.
"What's the meaning of this Charlie."
"You are dangerous man Axel we can't let you stay around here. The king wants you to leave this kingdom without coming back." He said.
"What if I want to stay here."
"Then either you'll hand over the army or you'll die here." he said.
"If you want to kill me you'll need more soldier Charlie." I said smiling mockingly and turned around started riding back. When I reached my army I said loudly.
"Listen up soldiers, today we are not going to fight against the bandits or wanderers. Today we are gonna fight against a real army." I said and saw system quest.

Second Objective: Kill Charlie personally.

[Main Quest- You've shown them mercy but they betrayed you. Get your revenge and sit on the throne.
Objective: Capture the Lorad and establish your own kingdom.

I shocked after seeing the quests but the system is right I can't forgive people betraying me. Also establishing the kingdom was something I considered doing after the battle with Baros army but I guess it will be sooner. Looking at the system for few seconds I decided to summon new soldiers to win this war in certainty.
But before summoning I turned around and looked at the enemy army. They had 2k knights, 500 archer and 500 cavalry. The only problem is archers but my cavalries can handle it. I thought before starting to summon soldiers.

I summoned behind my army so the enemy didn't saw anything. After that I gave orders, cavalries will be attacking from flanks of the enemy. Heavy shielded soldiers were in center with archers behind them, on right flank was pikemen mixed with swordsmen and on left flank was shielded spearmen.
The battle started with enemy cavalry charging us. I raised my sword and ordered archers to fire. After the second arrow rain remaining cavalries was few seconds away. Seeing this I raised my sword and screamed saying
"FOR THE GLORY!! HAA!!" and they screamed in unison making the ground tremble. Just a second later collision with cavalries happened but the frontline wasn't breached.
After a minute of fighting I saw enemy infantry rushing forwards and immediately gave orders to the archers.
They started sending arrows like rain. Seeing enemy archers get close too I gave orders to the cavalry waiting behind. They started galloping towards the enemy archers. Then I saw Charlie looking at me away from battlefield. I turned my horse towards him and rushed forward.
When I was few meters away I got out off the horse and walked towards him.
"Today only one of us can leave alive." he said pulling his sword out.
"And that will be me." I said and rushed towards him slashed my sword vertically he stepped aside and slashed at my neck which I dodged with duck then stepped back. Then he rushed towards me trying the same attack the sword I parried his attack and countered with slash on his chest scratching the armor. He stepped back and took his stance.
We were perfectly countering and dodging each other. This continued for five minutes. We stopped and looked at each other, slowly moving left and right.
Then I rushed towards him slashing towards his neck and he dodged with leaning back, before he could stand up I swept his legs causing him to fall. After falling down he tried to get up but before he could even move I stabbed my sword in his throat successfully killing him.
Then I exhaled and looked around and saw almost all of the kingdom soldiers were dead. I decapitated the Charlie and raised his head above yelling. "FOR THE GLORY!!" and my soldiers gave response with yelling in unison. Then the soldiers of the kingdom started running away. I ordered cavalries to catch and kill them.
After a few minutes later, the kingdom army was completely eradicated. I ordered them to loot and burn the corpses then turned my attention to the system.

'No, let's summon them before the siege.' I thought then checked my subordinate panel and remaining S.P.

'The next is resting and getting ready for the siege. It's better if we can get the city without destroying the walls or houses.
Let's send him an ultimatum and wait for his response. If he's a smart as I thought he will make the right choice.' I thought and helped my soldiers burning the corpses.
After a while when the sun was about to set we finished burning the corpses and started resting. After a minute of resting I felt someone touching me and turned towards it and saw Mila looking at me.
"Why are you here keep going, the city is ahead." I said and stopped paying attention.
"Now that you killed the commander of the kingdom they will hunt you down. What are you gonna do now." she asked looking at me. I smiled and said.
"Something big that will change the world." after saying that I laid down and closed my eyes. Few minutes later I got up and ordered to move back to the forest.
After ten minutes of walking we reached the same camping spot and settled down. I set up my tent and walked in followed by Mila. I changed my clothes and washed myself.
Then laid down on my bed followed by Mila.
"Now what do you want?" I asked looking annoyed.
"I want to stay with you."
"What can you do for me" I asked with raised eyebrow.
"I can do your daily chores, I can keep your clothes and bed clean even warming if you want." she finished with red face.
"So you want to be my maid." I asked looking at her and she nodded. 'It's hard to find a loyal maid so she'll be useful.' I thought and said.
"Alright then from now on you are my maid and you'll do what I tell you nothing more nothing less. But don't forget if you ever think about betraying me I will kill you myself." I said with serious expression.
"Yes, my lord." She said with bow. I waved my hand and she walked out of the tent. Then I laid down again, closed my eyes and fell asleep.
