In the woods in Texas, we can see a young man moving quietly, he is stalking his prey. He hears movement up ahead of him and sees his target; he pulls his rifle and has his sights on it. He takes a breath and pulls the trigger.
*BANG*
He takes the shoot and kills it. "Good shoot Daniel, now let's see what we have for dinner." Says a woman next to him.
Daniel smiles, now a young man, he is 16 years old and this is his first hunting trip with his mother.
When they approach the deer dead on the ground he has a clean gun shot in his head.
"Daniel I told you to hit center mass, go for the heart or lungs."
"The head is better, he didn't feel anything."
"What if you missed? He could have run away or you could have hit him in the neck and it would have been a mess."
Daniel carries the 300 pounds deer with little effort over his shoulder while answering Lorraine. "When was the last time I missed a shot? Besides, if he ran away I bet I could run after him. Now come on and let us go home I bet grandpa is waiting for us with the grill on."
"You're getting real cocky lately, when we get back you're going to skin this by yourself be careful with the pelt it will be nice on the living room."
They made their way from the trail back to the pickup, Daniel loaded the deer and they made their way home.
Daniel this past few years has been training with his mother and by himself, he is about to become 17, and when he does all soldier boys powers will officially mature, meaning he is about to hit a power growth, he hopes he is stronger than the original. His use of the nuclear power is second nature now, he focus on controlling his blasts.
The best part from these trainings is his mother, when she started teaching him about guns and combat she looked like a badass. She told him that was a stander training for all operatives of the SSR, she taught him hand-to-hand combat, shooting and First aid.
Right now, they are completing his survival training, he learned how to track, spot, kill and clean prey. The most important part of this training is tracking his prey, Daniel needs to sneak around and not be seen or heard by his prey.
"Here we are, now you go and bleed the deer so we can get stated I'll go find your grandfather."
"You just don't want to get your hands dirty, don't worry I'll ask grandpa for help."
Lorraine give me a side hug. "Remember I want that pelt intact, you went for the head shot so don't waste it."
After a quick kiss on the cheek I took the deer and hung him upside down, when he was in place I took my Rambo knife, cut his neck and let the blood flow, Lorraine has no idea where I got this knife from, but she said it was a good one. I left him and went to find my grandpa.
"Hey there need help hanging the deer?"
I found him on the porch. Apparently, he just got out of the shower it early so I cannot blame him but that does not mean I cannot tease him a little.
"Rise and shine, how are you grandpa something kept up at night?"
"It's just the down side of getting old kid you'll feel it we you get here. Anyway where's that deer?"
"I left him bleeding, so we just need to skin it."
"Ok then let's do it, and bring another knife if you want to help, that thing is too big." He say while pointing at my Rambo knife on my hip.
"That's what she said." I could not resist.
"What?"
"I just said lets go."
We started skinning the deer and after we were done with it a good couple of hours had passed, we cleaned up and changed clothes, we had the meat to start making lunch.
"You can leave the pelt with me, I'll get it treated, should be done in a couple of days."
A car pulls up and out of it comes my grandmother and my aunt Grace with her husband and my little cousin Lucy she is 8 years old. Grace come over with a hug Herald and then me.
"How have you guys been, mother told me my sister and you went hunting today, how was it? Did you catch anything?" Grace asks me.
"I did, I caught a deer, big one too. You guy are going to love the meat, were just about to cook it and then we'll smoke the rest."
"Hi Daniel." Lucy comes over and greats me. I get on my knee and mess her hair a little.
"Hi there did you miss me."
She giggles and hug me, she is Grace's first child. Scott was a good husband for all I knew, he works a little too much but he was good, never cheated on her and he respects her.
"Hello Daniel, I want to congratulate you have you thought on what college you're going?" Scott asks me.
"Yes actually I already know where I'll go after I graduate, I got a recommendation from one of mom's old friends."
That is right I already know where I'll go, Peggy already helped me, I'm going to train under shield has a especial-ops, with my grades I am a strong candidate and my mother being an ex-SSR agent, Peggy is going to hire her has her personal secretary.
This is the best way I can get training and experience, as a special-ops Carter can use shield to hide my identity while we gather allies. When I told mom about my idea of becoming shield's special-ops she did not like at all.
*flash back*
"You are crazy if you think for even a second this is a good plan!" she yelled at me with rage, but I knew she was afraid for me.
"Mom calm down and think with me for a second, this is for the beast we—"
"NO! We have been training to keep us safe, now you tell me you want to jump from the frying pam in to the fire! I will n--"
"MOM! STOP!" This was the first time I yelled at her, she froze and I took a deep breath and started telling her why I want to do this.
"Mom Aunt Peggy cannot protect us forever, she already is having trouble helping us has it is, if I work directly under her she can protect us better, it harder to spot an agent than a family being protected. We cannot live in fear of someone finding about my abilities forever."
We both stay quiet, after a minute Lorraine hugs me tight cries. "I just don't want to lose you, if something happens to you I don't know what I'll do, I love you son."
"I love you too. This is why I have to do this. I can protect us if I climb the ranks in the special-ops, if I become a team leader and get connections, Peggy and I can work together, I'll be able to help her become the director and then we'll have shield working for us."
'Of course I'll have to get rid of the snakes. Maybe the spiders would help?'
"If you're going I will follow you, I won't leave you."
*flash back ends*
We are going to move to New York after this year, so we'll have less family time but I'll leave the spriggan here with my grandparents, this way they will be safe. However, I have another option.

Thanks god for summer jobs. This last years I didn't only train like a maniac, I got I job as soon as I could, thanks to my strength and stamina I could do a lot of work fast, this gold is proof of my efforts, almost all of my money went to the system. And now it's time I gather those allies.
