He had arrived at the address that Miss Cruz had given him but he had not gotten an ounce of courage to get out of his car and approached the familiar building in front of him. The moment he saw the place, he knew why his wife came there.

Sometimes, when your head is clouded with many things that confuse you, it is better to bury your thoughts in work. He had done the same at different times in his life, hence, he understood Lilly Rose's feelings. And yet, it did not stop the pang of pain in his guts that his wife had chosen work over talking to him about a problem that clearly needed some talking. 

However, he could not blame her. Their relationship was not built in a way that they would run to each other whenever problems arose.
