10 Call Me Baby

The woman put on her black sunglasses the moment she stepped out of Matthew's office. She didn't show any indication that they care about them seeing her coming out of the CEO's office on a Monday morning.

'So early for a booty call' she smirked inwardly, following the model with her gaze. She could not remember her name but recognized her face for she was on the cover of this month's issue of the magazine that she likes to read. She looked amazingly beautiful even in real life and she happened to sniff in the air when she passed by her that she was using the same perfume as her but somehow the perfume smelled better on the model, she thought as she discreetly smelled herself.

"Are you ready, Miss Morgan?"

Lilly jolted out of her thoughts and blushed a little, wondering if Mr. Gallard noticed her sniffing herself. She heaved a deep sigh and said, "yes, please," with fake bravado.

She was a total mess inside. Her knees were shaking in nervousness. A small part of her was excited to see Matthew face to face, heck, he'll be her husband. She wants to know if he was as good-looking as those photos of him online are. At the same time, another part of her was dying of anxiety that he might find her unappealing, especially since a supermodel had just come out of his office.

"Good morning, Matthew."

Lilly hid behind Mr. Gallard. Her nervousness took the best of her. The fake bravado that she had flown out of the window the moment Mr. Gallard greeted Matthew good morning and he groaned in reply, clearly not having a good morning. She wondered what happened between him and the supermodel that he wasn't in a good mood. Maybe because she had to leave early. But whatever the reason was, she just wanted to go home. She could just lie to Tiff and Sue that she's sick on the day of their flight to Mykonos.

"Matthew, Miss Morgan is here." Mr. Gallard said, stepping on the side, exposing Lilly who was hiding behind him.

Matthew, who was scribbling on his note, slowly put down his pen and lifted his head to stare straight at Lilly who looked like she would scurry at any minute. She's wearing a casual outfit but too formal to wear for school. From what he knows, she's in her last year of high school. The deep line etched on his forehead deepened. He had no idea why his father chose her to be his wife when the kid was still in high school!

"Who?" He drawled, checking Lilly Rose Morgan from head to foot. He had already read her profile that Mr. Gallard prepared for him the moment his father told him to marry her. What he read from that said profile was just what a normal spoiled young princess should be. A pretty one, a lecherous part of his brain whispered that made him scowled.

Lilly, who was watching Matthew's expression closely, was starting to be annoyed. She knew that he was busy but did he really have to scowl as if her presence was an unwelcome disturbance. She wasn't the one who wanted to come here. It was him, who demanded that she get her allowance from him directly. And it was his secretary that forgot to put her in his schedule. How is looking so irritated with her presence?

She heaved a deep breath and curled her lips in disdain. The nerve of this man—no matter how handsome he is, to treat her like this.

"Mr. Grayson, my name is Lilly Morgan," she said in a clear voice, pulling her shoulders back, tilting her chin high in the air, and deliberately skipping her second name that she hates when she introduced herself. "I am your future wife and I came because of your request to show myself in front of you every Monday morning to acquire my living allowance."

She finds no reason to beat around the bush. If he hates her presence, he has to know that she doesn't enjoy being here too! Since his secretary already knew that she was here to get money from her, there is no reason to mince her words and be polite. She just wanted it done and be over with!

Mr. Gallard chuckled, amused while Matthew's mouth dropped in surprise but caught himself quickly.

"Mr. Gallard, leave us!" He snapped at his secretary that he never treated as his employee but more of a father figure. He narrowed his eyes on Lilly who was standing proud and tall in front of his desk. This girl has spunk, he thought to himself, seeing the young girl in a new light.

He got up from his chair and strode to where Lilly was standing. "Would you like some coffee…tea…or…"He scanned her from head to foot, not bothering to hide that he was checking her.

'Or you?' Lilly grimaced with the thought that flashed at the back of her mind with the way Matthew was looking at her. His brooding eyes seem to undress her she and wonder if he will like what he'll see.

She shuffled her foot and rolled her eyes. "Coffee. I would like a cup of coffee, please." She folded her arms over her chest. And gave him an annoyed look.

He smirked. "Coffee it is."

She was expecting him to buzz in his secretary but got pleasantly surprised when he walked to the coffee bar and brewed them coffee.

"Have a seat, Miss Morgan, or can I call you, Rose?" He can feel the dagger look that she was throwing on his back. He smirked to himself. He heard from the report that Mr. Gallard told him that Lilly hates the name Rose. He confirmed the fact as the truth when Lilly escaped her second name when she introduced herself. It's the reason why he was teasing her. He finds it amusing to tease her since he doesn't have a sister. 'Sister, my ass,' a part of his brain mocked him.

"Lilly. Call me Lilly, Mr. Morgan, or should I call you Matt-Matt?"

Mathew almost choked. An interesting young woman, indeed. He swallowed the grin that was curling on his lips before he picked up two cups of steaming coffee and faced Lilly.

"Matthew. Call me, Matthew or baby or whatever you kids nowadays call your sugar daddy." He said with sheer mockery in his voice.
