6 Hidden threat

Cecile Vlad son of the current Blood demon family and the next heir to the throne. It is said the blood demon family or vampires as many choose to call it, is the strongest family of the four, and while many agree to this Sol refused to acknowledge this.

Strength comes in various forms and that of the vampires is more confrontational. That didn't mean the other families didn't have the peculiar traits that have always set them above the others. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. So they see no reason to fear.

Cecile was dressed in a blood-red robe and had a deadly pale complexion with his long black hair tied into a ponytail. His hair could be considered long but compared to Sol who has lived for fifteen years without ever cutting his hair even once, it was nothing.

"How could I not come? And miss the chance to show the world its shackles can't hold me? Never!" Sol snorted disdainfully. He had no reason to fear the vampire descending the stairs.

Buzz!

The eyebrows of everyone present furrowed. Sol was the son of a chieftain but he was also the son of a traitor. The shackles placed on him were due to the action of his parents. By openly declaring that the shackles of their world can't hold him, they knew he was speaking of this immortal blood-scattering seal.

He is opposing the four families!

"Bold…" Cecile Vlad's eyes turned cold upon hearing those words but his reaction wasn't as exaggerated as the rest. As a person, he too would resent everyone for making him suffer for a crime committed by his father. So he didn't take it personally.

"That word effectively describes my personality" Sol accepted those words as a complement.

"Hmph! Bold but stupid. You have no victories in your life and barely survived the rites of awakening and you dare speak with such boldness?" Cecile Vlad sneered but Sol remained unperturbed by his words.

"I agree, I don't have many victories in life but I have never suffered defeat as well… The rites of awakening were only the beginning, be sure to watch closely or you may miss t. something important" Sol shrugged his shoulders before leaving as soon as he was done.

He has introduced himself and given these people enough face. Now he owes them nothing and has no reason to be polite. By the way, he didn't come here to make friends but to build himself. The others watched as he climbed up the stairs and soon brushed past Cecile and did not bother with anyone again, leaving the whole room stunned.

Even Cecile who is rumored to be the strongest amongst his generation of guardians doesn't dare treat the other heirs this way. In the end, the Vlad family is only one of the four pillars of Hallow mountain. He still needed the others just the same way they still needed him.

Unfortunately, Sol is different.

He wasn't seeking collaboration but domination. He believed in trying to achieve the best you can at any time so why become the best chieftain when he can become the first sole leader of the four families?

The fact their dreams are worlds apart alone was enough reason for him to consider the others inferior.

....

Sigh!

Sol exhaled as soon as he shut the door behind him. He casually walked towards the bed at the center of the room and sat on it with a stern look on his face. While many wouldn't think much about what happened, he used his arrival to deduce the way the people see him and so far it seems he is not hated only in the Ark family but worldwide.

Huff!

"With these people having a negative impression of me… if my growth intimidates them, it's easy to say they can kill me off by coming up with any reason. I need to find a way to protect myself until I'm strong enough to take on this world alone…" Sol said with a deep frown.

The only way he knew he could do this was by trying to suck up to everyone around and hope he will be loved by enough people to dissuade anyone from taking his life but Sol would rather die than use such a shameful method.

Without any solutions coming to mind in the meantime, Sol cast the matter aside and focused on something else.

Upon his arrival, the first person he noticed was a youth his age but with strange silver hair and bandaged eyes. The kid is named Satori, the current heir of the Night court, home to the witches and the warlocks of Hallow mountain.

He could swear the kid was blind based on his body language but the kid was the first to notice him as soon as he walked through the doors. His presence seemed to be hidden from the rest but it was revealed to Sol alone, revealing immense power that surpasses that of Sol.

But why would the kid bare his fangs at him?

Why was there so much hostility?

The air he felt from the kid was the type you get from someone who has a personal vendetta against you. What could he have done that made this person hate him personally for who he is and not for the action of his parents like the rest?

"With such a level of hostility, he will most likely make a move against me soon. All I have to do is wait and he will come looking for me in time" Sol said and mentally nodded.

He knew Satori won't dare do anything to him directly with people around but Sol knew if given the chance this person would take his life without hesitation, so he had to make sure he is ready when the day comes.

"This world is exciting…." Sol admitted that he was having fun.

He could feel his body trembling due to excitement but he tried to calm himself by reminding himself that this is no game. This is his new reality…
