Fay wasn't a bad seed, not at all.

Her mother was a gift to the world, a true gem that could never be replaced. And Fay was the very image of such a beautiful soul.

Or at least she was supposed to be.

Somehow the child of such a beautiful soul was corrupted and morphed into an evil thing that even the God of Rebirth could see the soul would perish no matter how many times it was reborn.

It was too pitiful.

Especially for the beautiful soul that left life too early. Not only did she not get to be a mother, but her daughter even became a villain!

But it didn't end there. Fay, who didn't even succeed as a villain, was about to die too soon. The world was not kind and she had no one to protect her.

Her stepmother called her a failure and refused to come to save her. Her grandfather was banished by her when she was too young, all because her stepmother told her it was he who made her mother leave forever.

As for her father... he was like the living dead, if not for her stepmother, who would feed and clothe such a grown man?

There was truly no one left to save her.

She had done too many bad deeds and made too many enemies. There was no friend in sight, not that she could get sympathy from anyone.

But one god could watch no longer. This god knew Fay's mother. This god was the one who sent Fay's mother off to be reborn as a magical being in another world.

That was the fate of those that were so pure and magical. They would be reborn into something even better, as was the life of reincarnation after death.

Alas, the same could not be said for the child of such a pure soul.

Oh, how that soul would cry if she knew her daughter was about to die because she was a villainess. And even after dying, she would only be reborn into pitiful things that no one would wish for.

In truth, the God of Rebirth wanted to help Fay . Only because her mother was such a beautiful pure soul that Fay should have inherited such a light, yet such a thing did not come to be.

Something went wrong. The God of Rebirth was sure of it.

If Fay was given another chance, surely she would correct the error of her ways and live a different life, a life that her mother could be proud of.

But, alas, the God of Rebirth did not have the power to change back time. If Fay died now, she would be reborn as something pitiful and would die a painful death once more.

Rebirth was no longer an option.

The only way to save her now was to turn back her time.

And so, this is how the God of Rebirth ended up begging the God of Time to send Fei back in time before her soul blackened.

"You have the wrong person!"

Amidst the miracle of time manipulation… something went wrong.

"That cannot be, child. Your name is Fay, is it not? Your soul was brought here with the combined powers of the God of Time and the God of Rebirth."

Rebirth was a simple matter, whatever became of the soul, the God of Rebirth would send them to their next life. Karma was very real and the God of Rebirth would decide on the next step purely based on the outcome of the soul.

But time was different. Even though the God of Time existed, they never touched time.

The only responsibility this God had was to make sure time was balanced and nothing out of the ordinary disturbed time and space.

The truth was, there was no reason to send anyone back in time, it wasn't part of any God's job. And yet no one else but the God of Time had the power of reversing time.

However, finding a soul amongst many was not included in the power of time reversal, and so the God of Rebirth combined their power with the God of Time to let this miracle come to be for one single soul.

"Fear not child. Everything has already been prepared by our powers combined. Do not worry for we will not erase your memories. You will be sent back in time to when you were a child."

Fay's soul had been tracked down by the combined powers of both Gods and was ready to be sent back in time before the corruption of the soul took place.

Hearing the outburst from the human girl wasn't really out of the ordinary. She was likely just frightened and did not understand her situation. After all, this was not an ordinary occurrence in one's life.

"You have nothing to fear, child. The reason you are here before I send you off is for one reason. I want you to cherish this second chance. Do not make the mistakes of the old. Live well and do not partake in evil. I do not wish to see you destroy your soul. You were fated to die painfully because of the enemies you have made and you would have been reborn continuously to suffer and die endlessly. This is the fate that was meant for you. But the God of Rebirth pleaded for your soul. That is the only reason I am willing to make this one exception. This time, do not let your stepmother corrupt you."

"Wait, did you say stepmother? No, wait, wait. I'm serious, I'm not-"

But it was too late. Fay had disappeared from the empty white space in time and was sent back to the child body of Fay, the small villainess to be.

It was a shame the God of Time didn't listen to poor Fay.

It was true her name was Fay. But there were many people in the world with the same name.

If only the God of Rebirth was there to see the God of Time combine their powers and retrieve the soul. Only then would the soul's identity be revealed.

She was a completely different soul, who lived an entire life until she was about to graduate college. She didn't have a stepmother. Her whole life consisted of herself and both her biological parents.

This soul was an only child who was loved by both parents and did not go down the wrong path. She did well in school and was even going to graduate college.

It was a shame. The God of Time had never met Fay so of course, they did not see the problem that came to be.

Maybe it was the way the power of rebirth worked and with the power of time, their wavelength was not the same. This was a conflict of powers overlapping that one could not expect.

No God has ever combined their power with another. Sending Fay back in time was the first where two Gods have ever combined their powers.

Either way, the wrong soul was brought and sent back in time and space. She was placed into someone who had the same name but a completely different fate.

When Fay opened her eyes and took a breath she panicked. She was in bed, with the covers over her body.

It was all just a bad dream.

There was no way she would wake up in someone else's body, right? It was just a dream. She was in bed and had a nightmare.

Who would believe such a thing as a God of Time and rebirth…

Maybe the stress of graduating got to her and she was worried about the future so that's why such a confusing nightmare came to be.

It was all just a bad dream.

And yet, when Fay lifted her hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead, she didn't recognize her own body.

"Oh, no…"

Fay stared at her tiny chubby hand. It looked nothing like herself.

This was the hand of a tiny pudgy child.

"It wasn't a dream."
