I had finally finished my Chakra Control Seal. It took me longer than I predicted because I needed to make some adjustments. Initially, I intended to make the seal help control the Chakra I naturally possessed which was growing every day no matter how many times I emptied it. After the establishment of my and Kurama's partnership, I redesigned the seal to also accommodate Kurama's Chakra.

It was a challenge to do that as I had to study the seal on my stomach first. Minato, my biological father, might be naïve, but he was a goddamn talented Fūinjutsu Master. The notes he had left behind about the Fūinjutsu helped me improve by leaps and bounds. It was thanks to his notes that I could deconstruct Hakke no Fūin Shiki that he used to seal Kurama in me.

I could undo the seal and unleash Kurama now, but that would be stupid. I could also loosen up the seal to allow more of Kurama's Chakra to flow into me, but I didn't. I did more than that. I added a supplementary seal to help me control the amount of Chakra I got from Kurama like a faucet. I couldn't let it corrupt me like it had done to Naruto in the anime.

"You Uzumaki do like sealing, don't you?" Kurama grumbled.

I looked at him from behind the giant cage with a quirked eyebrow. My hand kept dancing before the center of the cage, writing over the seal that was stuck to it.

"Only the intellectually gifted can master Fūinjutsu. We happen to be born very smart," I explained.

"Trust me; every Uzumaki I met has been a pushover."

"Am I?"

"…"

"That is why I am the best Uzumaki."

Kurama growled as I smirked. The furball had been rarely showing an annoyed look lately. He also responded to more of my barbs which was quite amusing. He had a repertoire of insults and witty comebacks that had never failed to amuse me. He rarely beat me and when he did, it was when we were talking about his power. Of course, I intentionally let him win, so he could give me insights into his power and tips to control it.

"And there you go."

When I finished writing the seal, I took a moment to admire it before throwing away the brush in my hand. I clasped my hands and then activated the seal. Kurama immediately raised his head and leveled his gaze with mine. I could see his eyes shine in intrigue. I knew how much he appreciated his connection to the outside world.

"Do you like it?" I asked.

"Hmph! It feels like teasing, but it will do until the day of my freedom," he scoffed. Looking at me curiously, he asked, "Now, why do I feel like you can use my power without my consent?"

"There is a flaw with the seal. I technically can draw your power anytime I want, but you still can stop it if you want," I admitted.

"Aren't you afraid that I am going to use this information against you?"

"Don't worry, Kurama. I can still forcefully draw your power. It's what Hakke no Fūin Shiki is for."

"Cunning bastard."

I smiled and then bade him goodbye. My clones were still drawing seals on my body in the outside world. I trusted them, but it wouldn't hurt to watch them. One wrong stroke and I might get my Chakra drained until I died. Upon coming back to my senses, I was face to face with a white-haired eccentric man who was looking at me with utmost interest.

He reeled back in surprise when he realized I was glaring at him. He schooled his features and then coughed into his hand.

"You must be surprised by whom you are seeing. You would think there is no way for such an amazing figure to be present in your lousy apartment. I go by many names, but I can assure you that I am—"

"Jiraiya. What are you doing here?"

Jiraiya face-faulted at my blunt tone.

"Why do you have to ruin the fun, brat!?" he grumbled.

"It's not fun. Now, tell me how did you get into my apartment?" I asked coldly, this time.

Sensing the seriousness in my tone, he sobered up quickly. "I broke into it because you didn't answer me."

"Did you destroy my seal?"

"Nah, I just altered some of it. You will be able to reverse it."

Creating the seal to protect my apartment was a hassle. Each one of the seals I protected the apartment with was connected to the other, so if one of them was broken, I had to make some adjustments with the others too. I was glad that Jiraiya had the mind to not break it. He seemed to understand how much Fūinjutsu Masters prized their seals.

Plop!

Jiraiya dropped his butt on the ground and sat cross-legged. He watched as my clones wrote character after character on my body intensely. He must be wondering what the seal was for. He would need time to figure it out since this seal was not written using the common sequence and method that every seal had. The seal was my interpretation of how seals would function better.

"Okay, I give up," Jiraiya sighed, lifting his arms in defeat. "What is the seal for? My curiosity as a Fūinjutsu Master won't let me sleep without knowing what it is."

"It's a Chakra Control Seal. It helps me control my Chakra."

"Huh? Why would you need a seal for something as mundane as that? Train, you idiot!" he exclaimed, nonplussed.

"It is easy to say for people who have small Chakra Pools or slow Chakra growth. I am cursed with a large Chakra Pool and a ridiculous Chakra growth. I would need to constantly train my Chakra control for the rest of my life if I don't have the seal to help me. Besides, this seal will be a lifesaver. You can mold your Chakra with a mere thought with the help of this seal."

"Huh. That is awesome," Jiraiya praised, not bothering to hide his amazement. "How long did it take you to make it?"

"A little over four months."

"Damn, that is quick."

"I am gifted."

"You are."

When the seal was finished, I dispelled my clones and stood up. I activated the seal under Jiraiya's analytical look and noted his disappointed look when he saw nothing happened. Of course, it was underwhelming from other's perspectives. But as the one who was using the seal, I felt like God. I had complete control over my Chakra. It felt like an extension of myself now.

Holding out my hand, I faced my palm upwards. Coalescing Chakra in my hand, I spun it and made it as compact as possible.

Swish!

Within the blink of an eye, a Rasengan appeared in my hand. Jiraiya looked at the chaotic ball in my hand with a gaping mouth. Minato didn't leave behind any instructions to learn Rasengan. Anyone who wanted to learn it had to learn from those who mastered it. At the moment, only Jiraiya was capable of using Rasengan; as such, I shouldn't be able to use it.

"Where did you learn it?" he asked after recovering from his shock.

"I recreated it," I said with a smirk. "So, how close I am to the real Rasengan?"

"That is a damn Rasengan, you brat! Why are you talking as if you just made a different thing?"

"It is…? Huh. It's too straightforward."

"Straightforward? Do you know how long your father had spent to create it? Years! It took him months to even master it and it's a Jutsu he made himself," Jiraiya rebuked indignantly.

"It is straightforward because it heavily relies on Chakra control to keep the chaotic rotating Chakra compact. I am still finding a way to negate the force that the rotating Chakra produces upon touching the containing layer without reducing its power. That way, you can focus on rotating the Chakra without worrying too much about its dispersing," I explained.

"You are… truly Minato's son, aren't you?"

I shrugged. "So, what do you want?"

Jiraiya remained quiet for a while before dropping a bomb on me. He revealed that Sarutobi was going to retire, so we needed to bring back Tsunade to Konoha. Everything happened too early. I didn't get what Sarutobi was trying to achieve by retiring this early.

"Sensei will retire after the Chūnin Exam, but we need to bring Tsunade back now in preparation for when things go awry at the Chūnin exam."

Impressive. The old man even considered the possibility of his dying.

"Why now? I thought he enjoyed being a Hokage."

"He wanted to prepare you for Akatsuki."

Ah, right. Akatsuki: the group of mercenaries that ruled over Amegakure. Aoi's memory had given Sarutobi early knowledge about the group. It didn't give the T&I department any detailed information about the group, but it pushed Jiraiya to investigate them. As such, we figured out the incentive of the group way before anyone did.

"Is he going to make me his apprentice or something?"

"I think that is what he is planning."

"I see."

I was quite thankful that I didn't need to learn from the pervert.
