"Where you going to battle?" asked Misty. Rex thought about the question and decided that staying in the city to fight would be too conscious. He wasn't planning to stay long anyway.

"Let's do it outside of the city. I'll wait by the east gate, and we'll go from there." He spoke. Everyone nodded. He then hopped on his bike and rode off at a comfortable speed towards the east gate. 10 minutes later, Misty, Brock and Ash appeared.

They then walked out of the city and into the forest nearby. Rex had spotted a clearing not too far in but far enough to not cause too much of a disturbance.

Rex then stood to one side with his hands in his pockets while facing Ash who stood opposite him a good 20 meters away.

"Ready?" Rex asked.

"How will it work?" Ash asked.

"It will be a one-on-one battle. Use your strongest Pokémon. Brock will be the referee, is that ok?" he asked as he turned to Brock.

"No problem," he nodded.

"Good, is that fine with you?" he turned back to Ash. He nodded and Pikachu who was on his shoulder instantly jumped onto the battlefield. Rex wasn't surprised. This Pikachu was a freak of nature. One second it can beat legendaries and the next it gets buttfucked by a beginner Snivy. It's just too weird.

"Rex then grabbed his Pokeball and clutched it softly in his hand before holding it up. "This is my strongest Pokémon, my first partner. It is only right I do my best too right?" he asked with a wide menacing grin. Ash seemed oblivious to it and nodded seriously.

"Time to play machamp." He said with a laugh. With a gentle throw, the Pokeball fell to the floor and exploded out violently. A massive 4 meters tall, behemoth packed with muscles and glowing orange fists appeared. Its glowing eyes gazed down at Pikachu like a god looking down at an ant.

Misty and Brock fell to the floor in shock at what they saw. Pikachu was shocked stiff, and Ash was left slack-jawed as he looked at the titan before him.

"M-M-Monster, how can it become such a monster," Misty said as she shivered like a leaf in a hurricane.

"It's not even a fight." Said Brock with a sigh. Ash didn't seem to be disheartened and soon focused on the task ahead. Rex thought it commendable, but futile.

"T-The battle between Ash and Rex will now… COMMENCE!" he yelled and slashed down with his hand.

"Pikachu use quick attack!" Ash commanded but Pikachu didn't move. Rex noticing this facepalmed and walked forward before slapping Machamp reproachfully.

"Suppress your aura, can't you see the poor fellow can't move?"

Machamp chuckled slightly and the next instant Pikachu could move again.

"Sorry about that, do go on." He said with a smile and walked back to his initial spot. Brock and Misty couldn't believe their ears. Machamp's pressure was enough to freeze Pikachu in its tracks. They finally understood that no gym leader was his match. That monster was too much of a savage.

"Let's try that again, Pikachu, use quick attack!" he commanded. Pikachu looked helpless and ran towards Machamp at fast speed. Machamp stood there like a mountain with its arms crossed. Evidently not intending to stop the hit.

When Pikachu smashed its head into Machamp's stomach, instead of Machamp taking damage, Pikachu got a concussion and began to stumble around. Rex almost couldn't hold in his laughter. He wasn't trying to mock his opponent; it was just that the scene was too comedic.

Ash was shocked at what he saw.

"If physical attacks don't work then let's try this, use Thunderbolt!" he commanded. Rex nodded. That would usually be the correct play. If they were physically defensive, then they had weak sp def. well, except for some special cases, which now included Machamp.

Once again, he didn't move and raised his head to look at Pikachu who was in the air sending a massive bolt of lightning down on him. He was shrouded in yellow light so blinding that everyone needed to look away. When the light faded, and the smoke cleared, Machamp stood there with a smirk on its face. Its arms, still crossed like an immortal bastion.

"Don't give up, use electro ball!" he yelled. Pikachu mirrored its trainer's inextinguishable determination and ran forward. Rex had to give it to them. Ash was an exemplary trainer when it came to never giving up and always having hope. But there came a time when scaling a certain wall was simply no longer possible. And currently, that insurmountable wall, was Machamp.

"I think this is enough to prove my point. End it," he said. He didn't even command a specific move. That would be overkill. A simple slap should be enough.

Machamp nodded and became solemn. It no longer had a mocking smile or its previous air of arrogance. Machamp had been training under Rex since it first woke up in this world. They had been through a lot, and he knew just as well as Rex to never underestimate an opponent. Even if he didn't receive a specific command from Rex which sounded like blatant arrogance, he clearly knew that it was just Rex's confidence in him to be able to make the right call.

Pikachu jumped up into the air again and did a front flip as he gathered electricity at the tip of its tail. He then sent it flying in Machamp's direction with a flick of its tail. As the ball of lighting was about to descend on him, machamp moved for the first time since the battle began. The ball of electricity landed on Machamp but to the trio's shock, it phased through like he wasn't there.

It was an after image. Machamp appeared behind Pikachu who was still in the air and sent an axe kick straight downwards. Pikachu who was hit flashed from where it was upon contact and reappeared on the ground. But no cracks were immediately made. Like it had softly landed there. But Pikachu had long fainted.

Ash tried to run towards Pikachu but was stopped by Machamp. Ash looked up at Machamp questioningly only to see him pointing at the ground. Under the gaze of everyone present, the ground began to crack, and a massive 15-meter-wide crater 10 meters deep appeared. Like it had been carved out by an excavator. In the middle, a pillar was erect where Pikachu rested.

Ash, Misty and Brock shivered at the sight. This was not the power a pokemon should be able to wield. Machamp flashed and appeared before Pikachu before gently picking it up and flashing next to Ash before handing it to him.

{He will be alright. I only knocked him out by pressing my heel on a pressure point. He will wake up shortly.} Machamp said before flashing next to Rex where he got a fist bump and disappeared back into his Pokeball.

Rex walked away while the trio continued to stare at the space Machamp used to stand in.

After he disappeared from sight Brock snapped out of his shocked state mumbled, "A talking Machamp…"

the other two were awoken by Brock and all three of them looked at each other in silence.
