Rex " ok so now that we're friends Machop, let me take a look at your stats," he said

Rex "system why does Machop have the iron fist ability" he questioned

Rex 'as far as I know that not one of his abilities'

{system has analysed and found that it is exclusive to your Machop and not an ability Machop's have. simply put, since god Made his body there must have been an alteration in his abilities.}

Rex 'i see, I don't get it but it's better than I could have wanted so I can't complain' he thought while shrugging.

Rex "as for his stats being so high, I think it probably has something to do with him having closer ties to his ancestor gene since in the game his speed is way lower and his only high stat was his attack"

Rex "as for his move set, it's not too bad he seems to love punching stuff," he said while looking towards Machop only to see him staring back at him cluelessly.

shaking his head, Rex was about to say something when an intense sound of rustling could be heard from the bushes.

*swish

a shadow came out of the bush revealing itself to be an aging man with dishevelled grey hair and a lab coat.

behind him, more rustling could be heard before a raticate emerged chasing after the poor man.

seeing this Rex knew he had to help.

Rex "Machop I know this is sudden but we need to help, are you up for it?" he said as he looked towards Machop before seeing him nod in agreement.

Rex "good then let's do this, run up and use bullet punch," he said pointing towards the raticate.

raticate who was about to pounce on the man got interrupted by the appearance of a big silver fist barreling towards its face at fast speed.

not being able to dodge due to the no guard ability it got blasted a couple of meters away.

Rex "no stopping, use bullet punch again "

Rex 'using bullet punch as a gap closer is a good idea since its a priority move' he thought while observing closely.

raticate managed to finally get up after much effort only to see Machop zooming towards him again.

having no time to think it glowed with fighting aura.

Machop who just arrived in front of raticate, punched out again, this time however, the instant the fist made contact Machop got blasted back the same way he came from only stopping after sliding 5 meters away. raticate equally recoiled back again from the impact before stopping. it was already damaged from two bullet punches

Rex seeing this clenched his fist.

Rex 'counter huh, interesting, its time to finish this, let's see how you like this' he smirked before commanding,

Rex "no more playing around Machop use power-up punch,"

Machop straightened up quickly after shaking away the pain. hearing the command he grinned before barreling towards raticate again with a fighting aura around his fist.

raticate who finally caught a breath looked up only to see Machop coming again

raticate tried to dodge Machop's punch to no avail, it seemed like a heat-seeking missile.

a very small red aura appeared from raticates body before the impact

the air pressure from the punch rose up a small cloud of dust as Machop sent it barreling towards raticate.

Boom!!!

the shockwave sent more dust into the air from the impact before seeing a raticate shoot out from one side at immense speed smashing into a tree.

Rex seeing that the raticate was still conscious, was dumbfounded.

Rex ' i mean sure Machop is low level but what the hell, is it one of those weird pokemon with high defence compared to its peers?' he questioned himself before focusing back on the battle

raticate got back up and started to glow with a bigger red aura

seeing this Rex facepalmed, 'how did I not see this, he's using bide'

Rex ' i have to finish this'

Rex "Machop use tackle and end it quickly" he said calmly

Machop hearing this zoomed towards raticate again colliding headfirst into its stomach sending it tumbling back once again

somehow to the disbelief of Rex raticate persevered somehow with a massive red aura now spewing everywhere

a massive beam of light erupted from raticate's body as it shot right at Machop.

Rex "Machop put your hands in front of you and catch him, then use counter" he said starting to feel excited by the challenging battle.

as raticate was closing in, pieces of rubble were shaking on the ground from the vibrations, Machop smiled as he put his 2 hands in front of him, leaning forward bracing for impact.

BOOOOM

the two collided sending light everywhere

two deep lines in the earth were seen caused by Machop's feet in an attempt to block the hit as he was pushed back 10 meters from their starting point.

a second after the impact, raticate, who was about to retract his fist exhausted from the fight found it stuck on something.

a sudden pulling force could be felt before another fist with a blazing orange fighting aura could be seen separating the cloud of dust.

It was Machop who was holding onto raticate's fist while his other one was rocketing towards raticates face

with the no guard ability activated there was no escape at all, raticate's fate was sealed

BOOOOM

the ground shook slightly from the impact before Machop let go of raticate's fist and sitting down gasping for breath.

seeing that raticate faint on the ground across from it, Machop turned towards Rex and raised up his tired arms as a show of victory. after a while he slowly got up and made his way over, Machop once again raised his fist towards Rex. this time genuinely accepting him as his trainer

Rex "well done Machop that was an excellent battle" he laughed before nodding and connecting his fist to Machop's again

the man who was watching from the beginning started to clap in praise.

mystery man "well done young man that was a splendid battle, your Machop is very resilient, even for its species, it must be due to your care" he said whilst nodding in praise.

Rex 'ha! if only you knew it hasn't been more than 30 minutes since we arrived' he thought while laughed in his head

none of this could be seen on his face though he calmly returned Machop to his Pokeball for some rest and headed towards the man.

Rex "and who might you be sir"
